How you don’t have 1 million subscribers is beyond me. Your content and adventures you share are far better than most others on RUclips! Remarkable and stunning videos. It’s clear you love what you do and it comes across brilliantly.
The Outer Hebrides - my favourite place in the world. A few years ago I went travelling alone with my dog for three months touring the islands, with my caravan in tow, having been inspired by another RUclipsr who did the same with an Airstream in 2015. One of the best things I've done and thought I was pretty satisfied with that, but I now have a new purpose to fulfill! Brilliant series, thoroughly enjoyable. 28:48 Stornoway Black Pudding THE best anywhere!
Balls of steel or shit for brains, I’m completely undecided but so glad to see you arrive safely. Brilliant adventure. Take good care of yourself up there. 👍🏻
I used to live in the outer hebrides. I spent a year litterally traveling every road in Lewis and Harris. An amazing place with amazing people. I live in America now but my heart will always belong there. Ride Safe.
Thoroughly entertaining and spectacular. You are certainly a master of your craft and epitomise everything there is to say about adventure motorcycling. Keep it up and stay safe.
Really capsulating content, you gave us a real taste of what it's like in the snowy conditions. Appreciate your editing while using minimal music overlay....very enjoyable to watch. Thanks from Australia! :)
Last time I was down Ullapool way I was going in the opposite direction into unbelievable headwinds after riding the Hebridean Way; it's fair to say the weather is always *big* up there! Amazing video, can't wait to ride that way again, thanks for sharing!
Mate you won't forget this one in a hurry, lol. Stunning scenery, the guy at the b&b was a bit of a legend! There are a lot of decent folk around still! Black Pudding, lol. PS Richy Vida fair weather rider, I don't think so, lol. At least there won't be any midges about!
A little bit of snow won’t stop a true adventure rider richy . Get on lad . Let’s hope the rest of the trip is as fun filled . Keep her shiny side up mate . 👍👍
Absolutely compelling viewing. Who needs 'Happy Valley' when there is content like this on RUclips. You must have ba!!s of steel Richi in those conditions. Respect to you.
Thanks for sharing your white knuckle adventure. I love when you include still pictures at the end. Some how the pictures capture more than the video when you see the beauty.
Fascinating seeing you do the exact roads I did back in May 2022 in totally different conditions though 😮 The roads around Ullapool and that suspension bridge are fantastic ❤ Well done Richy 👍🏻👍🏻
Mate, I live in the Highlands and you're dealing with the weather way better than I do. I do bike all winter but definitely don't go out in the snow on my GS. I'm in awe, great video 👍👍
This reminds me of when I was a kid - Quebec, Canada, North of Montreal, pushing my limits riding a Honda XR 100. When the water got hard, it didn't seem to matter how ginger I was on the throttle - if the front wanted to kick out on a frozen puddle, down I went. You're a mad man - in a good way, though.
You meet the nicest people on a Honda! It is humbling the nice folk you have met. Richy what an adventure (no pun intended) you have had! great viewing though, sincerely, very well done.
Thankfully you got all your nerves together and you and the big Lad arrived safely at the cottage. Epic pictures taken. Some of them you will never forget ❤🙋♀️🙋♂️
Been there on a 1090R end of Nov 22 - beginning Dec 22. Fortunately no snow then. Thanks for the well made videos ! Enjoying a lot. Cheers, Pierre (Belgium)
Awsome scenery .You have to trust the tires and your riding skill and the bike .You did well .Time to wash all the salt off ,Here in canada there is lots of it .Well done .ITS NOT THE DISTINATION ITS THE RIDE .
Absolutely brilliant, fair play to you riding in that snow, braver man than I am 👍, stunning scenery and area to explore, Loch Seaforth ferry is one of the better sailings , smoother than the ferry from Oban to Barra, glad you got to the cottage safely , well done to you and big Lad, that’s why I’m not getting rid of my Africa Twin , cheers Richy 👍
Some scarey looking bits of road there Richy 😮😮👍👍 you done well . Think the saying is more like , He who dares bins.😀😁 keep it safe mate and as you say ! The scenery looks even better with the snow covered landscapes.
Fabulous narration Richy, lovely drone footage too! Thanks for stopping and taking in the views and sharing your whole journey with us! Gentle riding techniques and bloody good tyres did the job - heated gloves and clothing also keeps the stress down and concentration up. Just Wow! Graeme, NZ
Man I love your spirit of adventure, the tension was gripping. I’m off from Wellington to Invercargill tomorrow catching the 06:15 ferry for the Burt Munro challenge, we’re forecast a bit of rain but nothing compared to your trip.
superb content again Richy excellent work with the editing loved the drone at the beginning too the music, quality Rich. Now i only have too wait again for part 3. could feel the relieve when you got their. Big thumbs up with applause. 👍👏👏 Regards Glenn.
Richy I was almost scared to look when you were in snow, like when I was a kid watching dr who from behind sofa One turn, slight pressure on front brake and big lad would be down. I ride in winter - did hebrides in summer - thanks for the sanity check! I was toying with going next week - no bloody fear ! Brilliant films mate
When I was in my early 20's (circa 1975) I rode my Suzuki GT500A from where I lived to Edinburgh (30 miles) during the winter. The snow at the side of the road was 6 inches deep. The Suzuki only had standard tubed road tyres, no heated grips (they didn't exist at the time) so I had to keep stopping every 10 miles or so to take my fleece lined gauntlets off and stick them on top of the engine to warm them up before continuing my journey . I made it to Edinburgh and back home safely that day. It's amazing what you can do when you are young.
Absolutely brilliant, loves the video and photography, you are making us realise that motorcycling is not just a 3 season option but a all year experience if you plan and put the effort in. Well done again 👌
Top job, I booked the ferry to Santander for a bike trip in February a few years back then the beast from the East hit -6 on the bike down to Portsmouth in snow and slush. Nightmare couple of hours down to the ferry. Nowt like the deep snow you were riding in. Can't wait for the next installment. Stay safe !
I’m feeling so jealous watching you on Harris and Lewis. Unfortunately her indoors wants a beach holiday this year😢 so I won’t be returning this year but I’ve got my memories from the last two summers there. Can’t wait to back one day.
Recent subscriber and I've had a good old binge watch the past few nights. You deserve way more subs! Particular highlight was one of your older vids, you made a stop in my home town!
Filming and soundtrack is absolutely brilliant mr.Vida, your obviously nuts😂 but what a great way for me spend an hour of my time! Look forward to the next episode
Kind of fun to find this when I've just started learning on a motorcycle as a way to commute to a new job at Calmac, lol. Bit further south than this, but still Highlands. Bloody good job riding in snow like that, everyone avoids driving in that kind of snow if they can.
Richy Two episodes in, and what a trip. Looking forward to episode 3 . Having been to the orkneys in summer , fair dues for doing a winter trip. Great video keep it going .
Man I can feel the tension and concentration on that ride, requiring just the right amount of throttle at the right time feeling the bike start to slip and correcting it, have a bit experience riding in snow but nothing like that ride, and I know it's not a something I want to do again. Well done. 👍😊lol
OMG you have blown me away with this video. I fully understand how you were feeling before you set off for Ullapool from your B&B! I hit a snow storm on my 1200 GSA June 2008 , 150 miles south of Nordkapp! Whiteout for over 100 miles, very scary. I was reliving that day with this video. Well done you for bringing this into my cozy living room tonight. Scotland has it all, your camera skills have captured that so well.Bring on the next video. 👏👏🏍🏍👏👏
Yes, A really bad idea, I was nervous sitting on my couch. Beautiful. Howling gales and rain. more typical. Keeps the midges at bay though. I'm not quite as daft as you. I took my girl friend out there in mid winter in my MG Midget. At least it had 4 wheels so we didn't fall off. Still bloody cold.
When looking at this video you run out of superlatives - brilliant - guts, determination, the will to succeed whilst always maintaining a cool head in trying circumstances. Top marks Richy - after this you deserve a good sleep. 👏👏🏴🏴
You made it. You were so unlucky as I think in the two years I lived there I only remember a dusting of snow once. That was a very nostalgic video for me as it is 20 years in April since I went to live there. I do remember a journey one Hogmany going for the boat and getting stuck at the Tesco in Inverness car park and running late then half way to Ullapool we hit a whiteout but thankfully I had my Land Rover and we just made it but had a near head on with a snow plough. I felt your tension all the way on the bike, Looking forward to the rest of the series. By the way I subscribed also as I am sure you will have more adventures and I will look at your Shetland trip also.
This is more than what we pay for in cable channels. Thank you mate for making this masterpiece free.
And thank you for being here 👍

You could do with a large, lightweight bike cover that you can fold up and take with you. I have one for my Super Tenere .
Amazing. From Africa Twin to Arctic Twin. Love the drone shots.
Absolutely stunning scenery Richie but I was griting my teeth the whole way through. Now I'm knackered just watching! :)
Balls of steel or shit for brains, I’m completely undecided but so glad to see you arrive safely. Brilliant adventure. Take good care of yourself up there. 👍🏻
The wintery conditions add another level to the spectactular scenery and views of the Outer Hebrides
Me looking out at 8 degree weather & chickening out of riding, then I see this. Well done, sir! 🙂
The end of the last episode has got us really looking forward to this and what more adventures are in store.
I used to live in the outer hebrides. I spent a year litterally traveling every road in Lewis and Harris. An amazing place with amazing people. I live in America now but my heart will always belong there. Ride Safe.
I've never been so tense watching a Motorcycle Vlog! 😀Honda should give you a free Africa Twin and put yours in a Museum.

I watched happy valley straight after! 🙌
The snow reminds me of my Easter tour in 1983, in the Lake District. 30-40cm. We then left by train to London. .. . .
Cool as a cucumber Richy Vida; well done to you and the big lad! Great content ❄ 🏔
Thanks for sharing your white knuckle adventure. I love when you include still pictures at the end. Some how the pictures capture more than the video when you see the beauty.

This had my heart in my mouth but the big lad and your cool head got you through. The scenery was stunning in the snow .
Just sat and watched this, and I still can't believe it.
