brilliant video, thank you, but what made it even better is that Saltwick Bay is my favourite bay on the Yorkshire coast. I have taken my kids - and dogs - down onto that beach many times, but would struggle getting back up now!
A couple questions: Is the fossil hunting usually better in the winter? I assume stronger and more frequent storms, and less people exploring the beaches. I notice many of the ammonite fossils often appear to have two layers of some sort. When the ammonites were alive, did they have some sort of leathery outer layer? Or a double shell? At the 3:00 and 4:20 marks those both looked fantastic, along with a few other quality finds. Bravo.
