I guess I’ve been watching y’all long enough to know..before I even clicked..I thought..what’s Brian gonna do for April fools? As soon as I saw the pile of worms, gold fish bowl, and corn I started laughing and didn’t stop! 😂 That was great! Have a wonderful and fish filled weekend MRO folks. Thanks for the laughs! 👍👍👌😂❤️
I was driving down Bethel the other day and wondered why in the world there was a "belfry" being constructed on top of the shopping center. Now I know! ....LOL. great video! Thanks for the laughs.
I’ve been waiting sooo long for this to be become “ethical”. I can’t wait to see the “minnow” episode! I always fling those things off when I false cast
Can't wait to see the episodes on banana gobs and vienna sausages. I saw an article in Field and Stream Magazine many years ago that addressed the tying of the vienna sausage fly, but that seems to be lost to the ages. Hopefully your new series can resurrect this pattern, and many other forgotten techniques.
OMG!!!! This is one of the greatest episodes in all of fly tying. How many takes was this? I could not have kept a straight face. Forwarding this to my fishing pals.
Wow! Can’t wait to put my order in when y’all stock the shelves. Katie, has the right idea about the vegetarian flies. I can’t wait to twist about two dozen. Thanks for taking the time to bridge the gap and bringing us all together 👍😉
My Favorite live fly is a ripe mulberry pushed into the bend of a #12 standard nymph hook so that the green stem is within the hook curve. Deadly fished below a tree with ripe mulberries.
🤣 on another note, wonder if toasting the marshmallows might provide a more natural presentation for an articulated fly. Better yet, step it up some with chocolate and graham cracker…the “S’more pattern”😂
I heard a rumor that you guys also cross-bred some species in the Great Lakes. Word has it that you crossed a Kokanee Salmon, Walleye and a Muskie and called it a Kowalski. The problem was it didn't know how to swim! 😀Great video btw. I'm going to tie and fish those "natural" looking flies this season!
I have been experiencing with the duckling fly for Pike and Musky. But they are a seasonal fly that is hard to find in the fall when the fish are most active 🤷♂️
I certainly hope you’ll do at least one if not many episodes on tying flies (Black House, Green Bottle, Soldier, etc.) I started tying them around 4th grade, usually with a piece of hair from the girl sitting in front of me, and almost always caught hell for having a tethered fly harnessed to my #2 pencil.
I just tried a new version of the Muskie fly using a squirrel instead of a rabbit. You get much better top water action. I do recommend wearing gloves and a long sleeve shirt. 😂
Cant wait for the new series it will bring a whole new meaning to the purest fly fisherman. Really excited to see the streamer video , that black rabbit looked excited . Thanks for sharing . Remember it’s your special day in Ohio , enjoy it :-)
I was hoping he was going to go over how to tie the Berkly Power Bait. But that’s probably a different series he’s working on since I guess it’s not Live bait. Look forward to that one. Also I hope you cover the Yellow Duckling for Pike. It’s almost spring and I don’t want to miss the duckling hatch without figuring how to tie them to my hook. They sure are squirmy. Thanks for the laughs. 😂
Even though not living, we have included the Power Bait so no worries and stay tuned. The Ducking episode is in production as we speak. We have some special glue and new thread that helps hold them on the hook.
One question. How do you avoid getting bitten or stung by your fly tying material? I tried tying a leech pattern, but it just wouldn't cooperate. And every time I tried to tie down a dragonfly pattern, it just flew away. Please give me some advice.
Absolutely Hilarious, a great April Fool's day video! Need a disclaimer "No critters were hurt in making this video" LOL I have no idea how you kept a straight face, would love to see the blooper reel!

Fantastic. I can’t wait to catch one of those musky/bluegill hybrids on a size 12/0 bat fly!
Hoping to get some video footage of these elusive creatures. Stay tuned.

Of course. It's the absolute least we can do.
Eventide I thought, ok that was good.... it got better. Well done guys.

Use all you live tying materials with great success. I also ordered your Shimano fly reel with bail. Can't wait to try it with your plug fly !
Thanks for the support! We greatly appreciate it.
Brian's facial expressions and mannerisms remind me of fellow Buckeye Tim Conway!!
Thanks for watching.
Love it guys. Nice sense of humor

That’s was great! I needed something to make me giggle on a Monday.
Thanks for watching and happy to help!

Stay tuned. Brian has developed some amazing techniques for keeping those buggers on the hook.
April fools baby lol
Mad river with the best micro streamers on the market, that’s the real game changer.😂
You will not find better action on ANY streamers out there.
Brian you are a legend! Can't wait to put the new Hybrid wet fly/dry fly pattern to the test.
He's now forever solidified MRO in the annuls of fly fishing history.....bait fishing as well.
I've looked ALL OVER the website to order all of these! Where are they located. I NEED to pay the overnight shipping charge!
Thanks 😅😂
Should be live later today. Thanks for your patience.
This is an annual event for me now. It’s already in my calendar for next year.
We appreciate it. It’s on our calendar as well.

I saw an article in Field and Stream Magazine many years ago that addressed the tying of the vienna sausage fly, but that seems to be lost to the ages. Hopefully your new series can resurrect this pattern, and many other forgotten techniques.
Bringing it all back! Stay tuned.

Thanks for watching. Always check your calendar.
Always good.
Happy 1st!
Thanks for watching and same to you!
I love giving Shiners a ride with my false casts. Really wakes them up
Yes. Turns out the bait really enjoys the fly casting. It's fun for them.
Ahhh now the name makes sense to me. Fly fishing, because you make the fish fly as you false cast :D
You had me for the first 45 seconds! That right there is funny!
Thanks for being here.
This is awesome !!! Thank you
Thanks for being here.
You had us the first half coach 😂
Appreciate the teamwork.

Thanks for watching.
Up in Northern Canada we use the rocky mountain snow worms for winter fishing and for the Canadian wallereye we use the rocky mountain barking spider.
Good tip! Thanks for that.

Thanks for being here.
Love it great job Brian

Thanks for watching and happy to help.
You have to add the outtakes at the end. There is no way you all did this without laughing!!! 🤣😂🤣
There were none. He didn't crack a smile.
OMG. Leave it to Brian. This was awesome. Can’t wait to “learn” the tricks needed for “ live” tying. Haha. Love the end with the rabbit fly!
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for the whole series.
I’ve been tying the mallow mania for years, my kids love them by the campfire. Just be sure to debarb the hooks for easy mallow removal 😂
Thanks for watching. They are wildly effective for fishing and then can be re-used around the campfire. Really excellent multi-purpose flies.
You guys ain't right! Too funny.
Thanks so much for that. We appreciate it.
I need to place an order for materials right away. The two-week delay through Canadian customs will be satisfyingly fragrant.
We have an "in" with customs up there. We'll get them to you without too much stink. Thanks for the support.
Hilarious!! Well done Boys!!
And girls. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching. We are working on that next. A whole line of indicators that you can also eat afterwards. Strike detection AND lunch.
🤣 on another note, wonder if toasting the marshmallows might provide a more natural presentation for an articulated fly. Better yet, step it up some with chocolate and graham cracker…the “S’more pattern”😂
