    The best pop singer ever. I miss singers that sing with emotion and tell the story. Bosemary had a rich quality in her voice and unlike singers of today, she sang every note in perfect pitch. A true artist!

    • @wodgerdog646
      @wodgerdog646 6 лет назад +5

      As his second wife explained, Bing vary rarely invited any showbiz acquaintances to his home. This was partly from when Dixie was having issues, because he was intensely private and also because his mother had been staying with him for a long period of time and refused to have show business people in the house. But Rosemary must have been invited to stay with the Crosby's at one of their homes because she was in the buggy with Bing, Kathryn and the children when Harry fell out and hurt his eye. Kathryn also explained about the Louis Armstrong quote, which was taken out of context.

      and played interviewing
      Jerry, George, and Possibly Newman, on Seinfeld . 😂 Funny episode.
      Seriously though , Mike usually had a better set than the office chairs, there, I thought.

      Sabrina N Yes! 😂. I realized after I made that comment yesterday, I made a Seinfeld blunder.
      I had my cat at the vet with little sleep, and much stress, and during the wait, commented on my phone. When I Looked for the video to correct it, after the long drive home, it was too late. I cannot remember how Mike’s set was, after all this time. I do remember he was a Sweetheart, and his song, ‘ The Men in my Little Girls, Life.’ 👍

    Read "Going My Own Way" by Gary Crosby. Bing was a sick man at home, he emotionally and violently abused his four sons, two committed suicide. He also cheated on his wife Dixie Lee who while she was dying of cancer. He was a great singer, but a terrible person.

    • @user-yi5mt2df5q
      @user-yi5mt2df5q 6 лет назад +6

      Two of his children committed suicide years after Bing passed away. They had used up all of their allowances and were both going through a midlife crisis, so I don't think you can blame everything on Bing. I assume that depression probably ran in at least one side of the family.

    • @bob110088
      @bob110088 6 лет назад +1

      He screwed them up as children, never said he loved his sons abused them. He was a great entertainer, but Bing Crosby was a terrible father and husband. That is history not my opinion. America needs a more realistic view of him - that is all I am saying.

    • @michaelcondry1493
      @michaelcondry1493 5 лет назад +3

      You greatly exaggerate what he did. Gary Crosby himself said he didn’t remember writing most of the book cuz he was drunk when he did, and that the publishing company made up a lot to sell more copies. Their suicides had nothing to do with his normal 1930s upbringing of his kids

    • @marciadiehl5733
      @marciadiehl5733 3 года назад +3

      Two of Bing's sons, Philip and Dennis, both came out publicly against their older brother, Gary, for writing his "tell all book". They said their formative years with Bing were the complete opposite of how Gary portrayed their father. They were very angry with the cheap book Gary wrote and called him a liar to make money off the memory of their father.
      And look at the other children that Bing had from his second marriage to Kathryn. They adore their father and have become very successful and productive adults.
      Bing was a very good father....and very loving to them and his friends.

    • @Dr170
      @Dr170 2 года назад +1

      Stop perpetuating Gary's lies, which he himself has long since disowned.
