    Thanks for sharing. A tip how to use the Rymax can: before turning the black part of the cap, you can pull out a pouring spout. Then after that, you take off the black small cap. When doing like this, it will not be leaking when pouring! So pull out the spout :)

    It's funny people think warming up the oil before draining it matters, it really doesn't it's actually better to do oil changes cold as most of the oil has drained from the top of the engine down to the drain pan and any crap in the oil has settled also put the oil filter on hand tight, it doesn't need to be tightened down by an oil filter tool, as long as it's as tight as you can do it up using 1 hand it's tight enough also have washed hands so your hand doesn't slip and the filter stays clean and looks new and isn't covered in old oil.

    Doesn't the manual call for 0W20 oil got that engine? If so why choose 5W30 for the application?

    Nice to watch self DIY oil change for their cars :-) On the oil level, try filling up slightly below the full mark you can feel a lighter throttle response.

    If you aren’t doing any wheel off work instead of jack stands set you tires down on a cinder block or a decent wood block. It’s more sturdy than jack stands.

      I just live in perpetual fear that a stand will fail and crush me. Also I live somewhere that is windy and it only takes less than 200lbs (90 kg) to push a car off stands. Which wind hitting the side of a car can achieve especially if it is a taller vehicle it acts like a big sail.

    How was this Rymax engine oil ? Would u recommend it over other brands like castrol, Motul etc.?

    • @WhenHannMeetsCars
      @WhenHannMeetsCars  3 года назад +2

      I’ve tried using Rymax fully synthetic because I’ve heard that this is actually better than Castrol fully synthetic. It’s definitely comparable and fuel economy is improved just a little.

    Rymax... Not much known or less very less info about this oil on internet don't know why? How is this brand and it's performance? It's available here in India 🇮🇳 too at very attractive price but I'm not sure using it in my Punto petrol ones 1200cc by Fiat. Please update me on rymax.

      Rymax is an engine oil manufactured in Holland, i love using this brand as it makes your car feel “lighter” and even after 10,000km, the oil still looks good after draining it 👍🏻

    why need warmup engine (I Dont know about car)

    • @WhenHannMeetsCars
      @WhenHannMeetsCars  3 года назад +1

      Good question! The reason why you have to warmup your engine before changing your engine oil is so that the oil becomes less viscous (more watery) so it can flow out better and more of the old engine oil stuck in other engine parts get to flow out as well 👍🏻

    Little advice from a heavy equipment technician next time to prevent filter hands(as I like to call them) take a punch and knock a hole in the filter and let it drain that way you are not getting oil everywhere(also buy some hole plugs and prefill your filter yes it might take longer but that engine yes i know it's a Toyota might last a bit longer

    4:44 you're supposed to put it on the seal 😂 btw when putting new filters on also, hand tight only if you ever want to get it off again 👍🏻

    • @WhenHannMeetsCars
      @WhenHannMeetsCars  3 года назад

      Sharp eyes! If you notice there was actually grease on the seal so I didn’t want to agitate it as it might fall inside the filter. Yup I would usually hand tight first then tighten just a little more with the tool, but it’s still able to get it off with my hands. Thanks for the advice anyways, appreciate it a lot! 👍🏻

    • @bobbroon8372
      @bobbroon8372 3 года назад +1

      @@WhenHannMeetsCars Grease on the seal? Never seen that before, having said that though, it's filters for heavy agricultural machinery I'm used to working with. I did see some sort of substance on it, didn't pay much attention, thought it was some left over plastic or such.
      Edit: I had a quick look again and I think the stuff you could be referring to is just glue used to hold on the plastic and it looks to be on the metal rim. The black rubber seal looks to be between this rim and the silver filter face on the inside and I may be wrong but I don't see any grease.

    • @WhenHannMeetsCars
      @WhenHannMeetsCars  3 года назад

      @@bobbroon8372 Ahhh then i might have mistaken it as grease when it was supposed to be the glue but it wasn’t sticky tho! Anyways thanks for checking out what it was and letting me know, highly appreciate that! Next time i will pay extra attention when i change my oil filter, thank you!

      @@WhenHannMeetsCars No problem at all. Yeah, it will be like hot glue, solidifies once it's stuck on.
