Yeah, Tarzan’s adopted son is often nicknamed “Boy”, mostly because he and Jane Parker couldn’t find a good adoptive name, let alone a suitable gorilla name.

This gem of a "pre-woke" film is worth its weight in gold JUST to see the savage tribesmen of cannibalistic headhunters get annihilated not only by Tarzan, but by a coconut-throwing Boy and a frenzied herd of elephants! No Hollywood production company would DARE have the cojones to try that now.
It was not acceptable back then that Jane and Tarzan did anything more than "swimming" so "boy" was the survivor of a plane crash that had been laying in the plane wreckage for months but was perfectly fine and well fed when found right after the storks delivered him INSIDE of the wreckage apparently with "900 bottles of goo goo juice"
The Hays code at least partially explains why Korak from the Tarzan novels still doesn’t appear in all the other official Tarzan films from the mid 1920s onward. Instead, Boy is Tarzan’s own child, albeit an adopted son unlike Korak.
