"Face the world without fear": seems like inherent optimism bias and terror management theory will always help regardless of ideologies such as antinatalism based on consent and efilism.

@@uvwuvw-ol3fg Don't take it literally. I believe the actual message when given that advice is to stay aware of your surroundings, and you do that by not staring at the ground.
"Walk with purpose" is the long and short of it. You don't wanna shamble about or appear like a kicked puppy, look sharp.

Thanks for the great video Antonio. The bad posture is certainly a difficult thing to correct as we spend a lot of time sitting. I'd say your quite right with the workout advice. Pullups are the best and help tremendously with remembering to straighten up.
The other thing that is tough for me is the fidgeting. I do it a lot and have to focus to catch myself. It's a nervous energy. I'd say maintaining a good and consistent workout routine helps me spend that extra energy in a productive way. If I'm fidgeting, I gotta slam out some pushups, pullups, or bodyweight squats.

A lot of it boils down to not looking like you're "protecting your core". When you're nervous, your body triggers a fight or flight response, and a lot of times it manifests in trying to guard your vitals (the area around your heart). This is why people cross their arms in front of their chest, they hold objects like drinks in front of their chest, they fidget with their hands in front of their chest, with bad posture they slouch/curl up in a ball around their chest, etc. You're contracting in an effort to protect yourself. A lot of times you can tell what is proper body language and what isn't by paying attention to what is going on around your heart.

Judging the character of others by their neurologically normative body language (especially eye contact, which is really difficult for a lot of neurologically diverse people) is something that I hope kind of goes out of style. You can't actually tell how intelligent or capable somebody is by the amount of eye contact they make with you, or how far back their shoulders are.
Having said that, there are lots of good etiquette tips here, and especially when it comes to using phones while you're talking to somebody, a good thing for all of us to remember. If I were to add anything... two things come to mind; if you're in a room with a lot of people you are acquainted with, an effort should be made to greet everybody that you know in that room, even if you've only met them one time. You don't want people thinking you've intentionally ignored them. If it's super busy and your time is limited, try to make a mental note to check in with those people you missed later, just to say "I saw you across the room, I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to chat, my time was really limited tonight. Looking forward to the next time we can cross paths" or something like that. It makes people feel included. Another tip to make people feel included is to look for the people in the room that nobody is talking to, maybe even the people who look like they don't want to be there, and engage them in conversation for some time. It will make your energy more magnetic to others because you're acting in a gracious manner towards everybody at a given event. Don't be one of these people who just looks for the most popular or successful person in the room and then crowds around them looking for your "moment" with them. Create your own personal magnetism by having the confidence to talk to everybody and engage with them on the same level.

Along with not pointing is the general rule to keep your palms up or out. If palms are down, you can "point" with your whole hand, and it is just as bad. The exposing of the palm must be a throw-back to the whole "no weapon in my hand" thing, which makes perfect sense. I still walk street side of a woman, even though there are no horses I can control.

When it comes to the handshake, the key is to provide a firm hand without squeezing the others persons hand. This goes a long way especially with women. It shows that you are strong without being overbearing. When one shakes your hand and it doesn't give under their pressure. It signals that you can take it and are confident that you could crush them if you choose to.

Isn't it midnight blue or is it the light and the blue suit that makes it look like this?

Yeah, not going to mirror my best friends body language. Maybe after he sees this video. But my god after watching this, I understand proper body language.
