Not mirroring others, is one I probably need to do a little bit more work on.
Bad posture palvic tilt and abit hunch back
nice video especially the ending was very spontanious
Eye contact
I always remember what my grandfather would say: stand up straight!
Face the world head on without fear, and reflect that through your body! Make it known that you are unstoppable!
He's a genius 😀
It was my grandmother that told me to stand up straight- or else I'd get "round shouldered". Great advice I give to me kids to this day.
"Face the world without fear": seems like inherent optimism bias and terror management theory will always help regardless of ideologies such as antinatalism based on consent and efilism.
@@uvwuvw-ol3fg Don't take it literally. I believe the actual message when given that advice is to stay aware of your surroundings, and you do that by not staring at the ground.
"Walk with purpose" is the long and short of it. You don't wanna shamble about or appear like a kicked puppy, look sharp.
Stand up straight with your shoulders back is the first rule for Jordan Peterson's book: 12 Rules for Life. Trust me, it involves so many psychological and physiological elements. Don't be weak.
I really need to finish that book.
Great information because some people don't have a father to teach them men stuff thanks! Keep bringing the good info
I dodnt know father's had to teach body language
Yeah like png tubers
Classic RMRS! Knew pretty much all of these things before, but was still good to get a refresher, especially when the information was presented so nicely!
Thank you so much, Antonio, my life has been completely changed in the last few months just from watching your content, I've learned many great things from you and Raphael Schneider and I've received many compliments from people because of the way I dress and the way my attitude has changed. I've learned and I continue to learn more from you, we need more legends like you.
Very important social tips were presented in this video. Some may think that they are old school, but today's society demands more than just those. Antonio, as always understands that! Great content!
Whoa, thank you for the notification squad shout-out Antonio, you're awesome! Great video once again, these tips really help a lot!
Great touch of humanity with the pocket square addition - adding to the whole Body Language concept with honesty and transparency. Well done.
I love this, just love this. Thank you for having us covered.
Thanks for the great video Antonio. The bad posture is certainly a difficult thing to correct as we spend a lot of time sitting. I'd say your quite right with the workout advice. Pullups are the best and help tremendously with remembering to straighten up.
The other thing that is tough for me is the fidgeting. I do it a lot and have to focus to catch myself. It's a nervous energy. I'd say maintaining a good and consistent workout routine helps me spend that extra energy in a productive way. If I'm fidgeting, I gotta slam out some pushups, pullups, or bodyweight squats.
really glad that i'm subscribed to your channel Antonio! love all your videos!
I started wearing my watch again to eliminate the need to get the phone to check the time.
A lot of it boils down to not looking like you're "protecting your core". When you're nervous, your body triggers a fight or flight response, and a lot of times it manifests in trying to guard your vitals (the area around your heart). This is why people cross their arms in front of their chest, they hold objects like drinks in front of their chest, they fidget with their hands in front of their chest, with bad posture they slouch/curl up in a ball around their chest, etc. You're contracting in an effort to protect yourself. A lot of times you can tell what is proper body language and what isn't by paying attention to what is going on around your heart.
As a speaker, "thank you" for this video as I see so many of these mistakes from audiences as they arrive, interact, and even listen to programs and presenters. For that matter, I've seen mistakes from presenters as well (typically not paid speakers, but those simply "presenting"). Spot-on video!
Welcome defensebydesign. Always great seeing you guys here.
Your videos rock dude! A lot of good points. It's interesting how some of the traits get, how to articulate this, "installed as permanent mods" on those who've been in the military. Especially if you were in for any length of time (8 years active Army), you just carry yourself differently. Great stuff!
My favourite Real Men, Real Style video so far. :) Keep up the good work.
Great video on bad posture, mannerism and common mistakes we make, I really enjoyed it!
The one thing this channel does and not many people props for is the amazing music! It feels modern, smart and masculine all at the same time! Just wanted to give my gratitude for all the time I enjoy listening to them
Wow - thanks Ayan!
I like the way you're connecting your own content. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! This helps. I needed to be reminded about many of these ideas. I'm heading to a very large networking function this evening, and it's a big deal for my friend who created and is hosting this event and its organization. In addition, I'm rebuilding my career after numerous setbacks. My body language affects my confidence.
Sounds great!
Great tips, man :') simple but makes real impact. Most of these mistakes can be described in one word: "awkward", and I have been like that most of my life. It's usually due to lack of confidence or being too self-conscious in a negative way.
COOOL! I love the comment praise at the end.
One of my favorites too!
This video is perfect in every way, thank you very much Antonio!
Great tips! What i love about these videos is you come up with tips that no one else does. Love this channel!
Thank you sir!
Thank you Antonio for the great knowledge. You are the best adviser!
Thank you the info bro
Great advice Antonio !
You are simply the best Antonio....
Thanks a lot sir. You are really doing a great job and making an ordinary man a real men with a real style
For me this is one of the most interesting & useful your videos. Thank you Antonio.
Awesome!
This guy is real deal. Helped me so much thanks man for all valuable info
Antonio, physical therapists are among the best health care professionals to seek out for back pain and postural issues and definitely deserve a mention. Otherwise, great video!
Thanks bro that's really awesome points,
Great list Antonio. Bad posture is a massive problem today with so many people, I myself struggle to keep a good posture at times, but your tip on building back muscles is great advice.
I always try to be early. And today, I am! Nice video, Antonio!
Glad you can make it Satyen.
Thanks this video actually helped
Honestly, your pocket square looks amazing. I get fashion ideas from your videos at which point, I take a screenshot and email it to myself and view them when I need color combo ideas for dressing up 😉
Again... very good video Antonio!
Great advice for a young man like myself. I was born in a generation where these things will set me apart from everyone else.
Judging the character of others by their neurologically normative body language (especially eye contact, which is really difficult for a lot of neurologically diverse people) is something that I hope kind of goes out of style. You can't actually tell how intelligent or capable somebody is by the amount of eye contact they make with you, or how far back their shoulders are.
Having said that, there are lots of good etiquette tips here, and especially when it comes to using phones while you're talking to somebody, a good thing for all of us to remember. If I were to add anything... two things come to mind; if you're in a room with a lot of people you are acquainted with, an effort should be made to greet everybody that you know in that room, even if you've only met them one time. You don't want people thinking you've intentionally ignored them. If it's super busy and your time is limited, try to make a mental note to check in with those people you missed later, just to say "I saw you across the room, I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to chat, my time was really limited tonight. Looking forward to the next time we can cross paths" or something like that. It makes people feel included. Another tip to make people feel included is to look for the people in the room that nobody is talking to, maybe even the people who look like they don't want to be there, and engage them in conversation for some time. It will make your energy more magnetic to others because you're acting in a gracious manner towards everybody at a given event. Don't be one of these people who just looks for the most popular or successful person in the room and then crowds around them looking for your "moment" with them. Create your own personal magnetism by having the confidence to talk to everybody and engage with them on the same level.
I'm pretty bad about crossing my arms. I can be somewhat standoffish, however thanks to you Antonio as well as other videos I watch I'm changing that in order to be the better man.
By the loved the pocket square thought it looked real good and yeah I noticed it ran down on you. Lol.
I love these rmrs videos!
Great Video Antonio
Excellent video.
Most useful channel in youtube!
Huge respect
Eye contact super important!
My parents used to say: stand up straight, or you'll be 'round-shouldered'. My son gets to hear that advice now!
Great tips Antonio
thank you, the video really helped me and was very useful in my activities
Just starting watching to your site I have to say "I love your list". The only thing I would add is turning away from someone for whatever reason without saying why. Like being called by Jerry your buddy from college. Always communicate to whoever you are engaged with before losing the connection with the person.
Very informative :)
I love the videos on improving ourselves, these are great types videos.
Thanks Joseph! We'll put out more of these videos.
Hey Antonio, really like your video on this topic because it touched on psychology. Do you think you can do another one just like this and add about hand position when you are sitting at the same table with important people or hand position in general, and also what to do to stop fidgeting. Thanks.
Cold shower in a hot afternoon + RMRS video = spirits lifted😅
Good video, good topics
Really good. Glad you put eye contact in it’s own video.
It deserves its own.
Antonio I once had a job interview & my pocket square kept sliding down but I just kept correcting it when there was an appropriate moment 🤘🏼
Sounds like I should film a video about it. 🤔
3:15 i laughed so hard!! But yes i have previously researched about body language, turns out there is a lot of info here on youtube too!
Good info.
Thank you!
This is very informative, educative and resourceful, I really like it, thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge and experience with us
Love it..pocket square point. Great topics.
Awesome...😀😀😀
Good vid an nice points 👍😉
Was off to gym...but.. Notification squadddd reporting sir 😎
Yes!!!
When you're talking to someone who's sat down and they listen to you why having their fingers on their chin or one of their cheeks. It clearly sends the message that they are judging and/or analysing you and not truly listening.
I need to work on my posture, as you mentioned cellphones and computers make us lean foward subconsciously to an extreme. On a side note, on your description list it says 7:00 "learning" instead of "leaning the wrong way" just FYI so people don't get confused.
thanks antonio ..great
Impressive tips...
Hey! I do a do-over hand shake, too! It's good to know I'm not the only one.
Body language is an important thing to practise on. I manage to cross my arms too much sometimes.
Yeah…shout outs. Your vids are amazing they do have a changing impact.
Appreciate it. Thank you!
Very nice santino!!
Centeno, I think.
I love that suit combo
Friday morning is my day off and bowl in a league. Sometimes keep the phone home or I put it in my bowling ball bag, no phone distractions !
You have a killing presentation! Keep it up !
Thanks for the really good informative information on body language and what to wear try to get your eye to contact Later
When Antonio mention the looking at the watch it reminded me of President Bush Sr. debate with Bill Clinton. During the debate Bush looked at his watch. That gave the perception that he didn’t want to be there or was uncomfortable by the questions been asked.
i'm 15 years old and in the high school , in the break , i usually talk to my friend with military terms , like ' Novemer Alpha Mike Echo ''Name of the person'' is leaving the AO , or target is on your six o'clock ...
Awesome
I am Italian and I AGREE! I make all kinds of hands gestures and sometimes I am not even aware that I do this. LOL. Antonio, also I have looked at your website before and I still need help with something. I have jeans that fit me great in the waist, but since I am heavyset, the legs on the jeans are so freaking baggy. In the back of the legs, on the side of the legs, in the crotch area a little. I need to take them to a tailor but I am not sure what to tell the tailor to get these issues fixed.
i know video is old but coming from person that looked like a question mark i can confirm - pull ups and climbing wall is great way to straighten up
This biggest mistake I have done is not subscribe to this channel years ago, thanks a lot I have been obsessed with it for a week now and started to spread the word about it to my friends
Nice video
Perfect video Antonio. The energy you send here is infectious. I saw alpha m promoting some sticky type thing to hold your clothes together discreetly. That might work for your pocket square
Thanks - I'll look into it.
@@RealMenRealStyle turns out it's called double sided Scotch tape and women use it all the time for dresses. It can be found at any convenience store. Cheers! Here's a video idea: fashion tips that women use that can also be used by men
😂
Along with not pointing is the general rule to keep your palms up or out. If palms are down, you can "point" with your whole hand, and it is just as bad. The exposing of the palm must be a throw-back to the whole "no weapon in my hand" thing, which makes perfect sense. I still walk street side of a woman, even though there are no horses I can control.
funny you mention posture. I have actually had my manager attempt to dress me down saying that I am "a big intimidating guy". My response was, "do you want me to slouch and hunch over? or stand up straight?" Sadly my response went over his head
Thanks for the tips! Got a job interview in a few hours I’m sure these will help
Good luck!
Real Men Real Style Thank you! I believe it went well. I’ll be sure to bring the same positive and confident energy I had earlier for another interview I have tomorrow morning. Love your vids btw
Good body language helps prevent back problems.
It sure does!
This intense staccato burst of conveying stuff ~ a Friggin BIG turnoff !!!
you are soo great .. i wish there is something lke you for women
You better be able to get your 20 pull-ups in Antonio! 300 PFT. Love the content.
When it comes to the handshake, the key is to provide a firm hand without squeezing the others persons hand. This goes a long way especially with women. It shows that you are strong without being overbearing. When one shakes your hand and it doesn't give under their pressure. It signals that you can take it and are confident that you could crush them if you choose to.
Nice sir
Black shirt , Navy suit 😘😘. You rock sirrr
Isn't it midnight blue or is it the light and the blue suit that makes it look like this?
Yeah, not going to mirror my best friends body language. Maybe after he sees this video. But my god after watching this, I understand proper body language.
I love everything you said in this video. It is true, and a great help to myself as well to other men! As I've said it before, I wish I knew you years ago! Thank you.
This pocket square god damn !!
