I've been away from the computer since June 2022. It's literally like a breath of fresh air to be back with you guys. I'm ready to snuggle in for a long Canadian winter in a couple of weeks. So nice to have over a year's backlog of your videos in store and oh, how exciting, a new channel too! W00t! Love playing "Spot the Find" Alex. I am woefully out of practice. Adjusting to monocular vision while vicariously mud-larking. There's a wonderful winter ... goal. Best dust off the vocabulary. A word for goal or objective beginning with a"W" anyone?
@@KatyWatson173 I have done my time at the VA in Ann Arbor. They were top notch in the care… but the paperwork bureaucracy was annoying beyond belief 🤭 My best to you & your family and here’s wishing you a great parking space for the next trip 😉
You ladies are fun to watch. Whether it's mudlarking, outside house stuff, animal videos or making things, you're always fun and funny. Thanks girls. You're so sweet.
I've watched you two since you started this channel ,I don't often comment but watch every single episode and love them all .I cannot wait for your collections video .keep on shining ✨️
I absolutely adore your videos!!!! I started watching Abit over 3 months ago and have gone through most of your videos. You have even inspired me to go to a local abandoned psychiatric center, where on a hill there is an old bottle dump! Found some old clothes, some nice cobalt blue bottles, and some old makeup containers. Keep up the awesome work! Love from new york ❤❤❤
I love those little cake decorations, the butler, his name must certainly be ‘Jeeves’. Yeah he’s burnt up a bit,but service must prevail! He’s my favorite find this time around. I will be mudlarking in 3 weeks!! This will be my second go at it,the London tides will be less than stellar during my stay, sadly. Also,my offer still stands, lovely Gail. I would marry you!😊🥰 I’m a hard working 52 year old man,I would make a great addition to your home. Take this as seriously as you like😂 I am quite serious☺️😌❤️
I’ve been so blessed!! Just watched the last video of the lost tower diaries only to see a new video of the northern mudlarks!! It’s going to be a great evening 🤗🫠🫠
Such fun and interesting finds! Also loving the new channel. I had no idea shaving brushes could bring on such deadly conditions! It’s always fascinating to see where a little find can take us on these truly remarkable stories!
Fascinating story about shaving brushes and anthrax. Do you ever worry about picking up unwanted microbes mudlarking? Never thought about that until the shaving brush story. Happy birthday Alex!
Been watching you from the beginning and I love watching anything you do, your both so lovely, and have interests just like me. Thanks for all your hard work with your videos, I've really been enjoying your new channel too. You have a beautiful home and land, I'd love to have land. I love the fact you have a garden part for flowers and more gardeny type things and then the more rural part where the Oak tree is, that's exactly what I would do. 😊 xx
Wow, it's our lucky day! Two different videos from our favorite mudlarking ladies. Life is good.🎉 Alex, congratulations on your birthday gift/bucket list find of the whole cake topper figure. It is so stinkin' cute. I about cried when y'all left that broken yet beautiful egg cup behind. 😢 Finding that shaving brush handle led to you unearthing the fascinating history of the contaminated shaving brushes. Take care and lark on my lovelies. Hello from eastern North Carolina. ❤
Some great finds girls.I love the little bottles and the tiny figurine ,cleaned up nice too..Strange finding two white knuckle ones and so many cod marbles together too.Looked a nice day too.Looks like the trees are starting to get a few discoloured leaves, temperatures down too.I think our summers coming to an end sadly. Thanks for taking us with you 🥰
Happy Birthday, Alex. Such wonderful treasures you both found today. Not gonna lie, I do think Alex found the most amazing today. The whole cake topper. And that shaving brush handle! Gail, I love how your inquisitive mind just has to find the history. “Never give up on your dreams!” 🌈And that at the round up, when all the things are cleaned up and stunning is so much fun! Thank you for taking us along! Love and Light, 🌸V
Perfect Saturday night viewing. The mudlarkering gods were definitely with you that day. Congratulations on the full cake topper find. He's wonderful. Looking forward to the future collections videos. It will be so interesting to see some of what you have found over the past few years. Thank you for sharing & still being enthusiastic about your hobby. ❤
OMG, I'm so happy to come across your channel again! It has been almmost a year since I've seen you last and seeing you again is like finding an old friend. You two look wonderful, and cheers to you Alex on your recent birthday. Thank you so much my deers for continuing to share with us your sweet hunting adventures. Cheers to you from St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
Wow! What an anthrax education! Just love when you delve into the history of your finds! Congratulations Alex on your butler cake topper!!!!! He's awesome❤
You 2 ladies are after my heart. I love collecting little doo dads and thingies that most people would pass right by or throw out in the trash. Everything has a history whether significant or not. Alex you are beautiful and sweet and any man would be undeserving of you. Thank you again ladies.
Wonderful finds Ladies! I love the tiny figurine and the French jet button and I am so looking forward to seeing your collections. The shaving brush history is fascinating and makes me appreciate the progress science has made over the last century! 😃❤ x
As it was just your birthday, not at all suprised that the river goddess granted you a wee doll….I love all your videos on all your channels so very much. The visuals are so fascinating and the music is magical…Blessings to you always…
Gail and Alex, Do you ever find whole Cod Bottles? The first one I ever saw was in a junk store in San Angelo, Tx. in the late’70s. It was enchanting. I bought it. It still is fascinating. The label is “Newcastle Upon Tyne and District Aerated Water Limited.” On the back the double Seahorse trademark. The glass is heavy, shiny and dense. The matte marble rattles in the piggy nose. It still has its gasket in the applied lip! How did it find its way to Texas years before EBay? Congrats on finding your whole cake topper. Happy hunting.
I love watching your videos. 🎉🎊 Yay for finding a whole cake doll. I love looking at all the items cleaned and displayed at the end. It was abit difficult to see them on the dark wood and with the reflection on the wood. I love the little glass bottles. So many lovely treasures to make things out of. 😍👏💃
Great finds ladies and the history attached to such mundane items as a shaving brush always blows my mind thanks for sharing your adventures with us Karl from Canada
I think this foreshore is one of my favourite places you lark at ladie. There's always such interesting finds you seem to get when there. The little cross was very interesting. I wonder what it came off. It was certainly a pretty little thing. It straightened out really well. Eeek, that shaving brush history was very disturbing. I never knew they used to use badger fur for shaving brushes. My grand fathers were traditionally black/dark coloured roots and white topped fur, so i can see that was probably why. Not badger I'm presuming, but made to look like it. Definately a time to grow a beard. 😬 Congratulations on being listened to by the river gods. They certainly gave you a lovely birthday gift Alex. A little belated, but hey...no complaints at finding that butler cake decoration. He was a fab find. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your collections. Especially the morning buttons. I love those little beauties so much. There's so many different ones. A lovely item to collect. Even though they were bought for such sad occasions. Are you displaying them at all, if so...how. They really are too pretty to be hidden in a draw. Though I've just remembered that pretty stamp draw you got. They would look lovely in on of those draws, with a plain coloured material of some sort, to lay them on. I'm also intrigued as to what your doing with all the pretty glass pieces your doing a project with. Lots to look forward to. Thank you ladies.
Your channels are wonderful and I love watching them! I am so happy for you Alex! The little mane is cute as can be! I know how great it feels when you find a treasure that you have looked for a long time. It makes it all the more exciting! Please be careful and stay safe! ❤❤
Hello young ladies, great vid, beautiful flora and music, I don't mean the BBQ, do you ever eat those delicious blackberries, in Oz they are considered a pest now and have been eradicated, as children we ventured into the wild blackberry bushes which sprawled down hillsides and pick bucket loads, what we didn't eat mum made into pies, cakes and jellies, sweet memories, I love your finds especially the brass items and of course there's something about Codd marbles and glass bottle stoppers, they just must be collected, enjoy the last of your summer, how are the shwoos? Cheers!!🥰😘💕👍👍🦚🦚🦚
Great finds and great story about anthrax! I work in Microbiology lab and whenever we have a Bacillus growing in a culture, we have to make sure we rule out anthracis. We perform all the testing under the biosafety cabinet untill we prove it's not B. anthracis. It always turns out not to be.
I've already watched your lost tower for this week. This seems to be the highlight of my week thank you I love watching you women work together it means something special to me. I’m recovering from waiting around in the VA Hospital in Detroit for 7.5 hours on Thursday while they ran tests on my Viet Nam vet husband.
