    I have had an X1C for over a year now and love it so much!! Installed x1 Plus firmware for more network security and that has been nice too so far. JUST bought an A1 mini for smaller stuff, so I guess that’s why I’m seeing this video. But as a veteran X1C owner, with probably thousands of hours on it, I definitely recommend! Have hundreds in spare parts, haven’t needed one yet. I definitely keep up on my Preventative Maintenance though. Have owned Creality, Anycubic, Prusa - built a Voron… The X1C hands down is the best bang for buck time and money. I AM grateful to the other brands I owned though, because I actually understand what is going on and really appreciate the technology to make it super easy. I probably had as much money into trying to get my ender bed leveel, as I paid for the ender itself. *_rant complete_*

    Watched this video (after) i purchased my x1 online this morning and i’m stooooked. I love that it’s becoming sophisticated enough for non familiars to be engaged. I’ll feel way more confident leaving ppl that want to learn to trade in the shop when i’m like on store runs and stuff (verses my Ender 3). Thanks and happy printing amigo!

    I just got this and an A1 mini and the X1C is as awesome as I expected but the A1 mini really blew away my expectations. It prints unbelievably fast and accurate for what seems like such an unstable design. Asthetically i love it too. Reminds me of 80s Apple PCs.
    This is what FDM manufacturers should have been aspiring to the whole time. Bambu printers are the beginning of what 3d printers have to become.

    we got one in the company this week, but although it's a brilliant printer, the biggest letdown was that you can't control the printer with multiple people without logging out. That ( logical) functionality is the moste requested feature on the forum since it came out, but bambulab doent even bother to give any comment. What were they thinking? It immediately reduces useablility for us by at least 70%

    I bought a BQ B1 a couple of years back, and within a month or two, I stopped using it. The amount of tinkering was too much, and I just couldn't get any print right. I want something that just works. The X1 or P1S look ideal for someone like me, who wants to spend more time designing and printing over spending 5 hours on bed levelling.

    Bought one of these last week, finally an upgrade from a flashforge dreamer (~10 years ago)
    Wow. This thing is amazing. To be fair all the new printers in this price range are probably amazing, but this thing set itself up, did its calibration jiggle and off it went printing a flawless first print on to the textured plate with no adhesive applied. It just printed dead flat with no shrinkage and no warping, oh and the model had 20mm overhangs with ZERO droop and NO supports, requiring ZERO cleanup. The lowest quality print on this was better than the finest detail on my flashforge. $1,500 USD well spent. Theres a hack to make the hotend go up to 350°C or so, the same as the X1E.

    Unfortunately I am thinking about sending my Bambu Labs X1 c back. Two days after I got it I tried to print a multiple color .stl but the nozzle got clogged. As I was removing the nozzle I noticed that the connection labeled J3's edges were broken off thus causing the connection to be slightly loose. I also noticed after unplugging J4, it never would lock into place again when I plugged it back in. When I ordered the printer I also ordered a .2 mm nozzle so I thought that I could replace the clogged .4mm nozzle with that but when I opened the package the .2mm nozzle connections were unattached. Seriously is this normal?

    I love Bambu's own filaments especially because of the RFID... the ONLY thing I wish they would do, is make a cool white opaque PLA+, their own white is great for hue forge and lithophanes, but you can see colors through it even with several layers (6 layers and you can still see red through it) I buy Inland's PLA+ White which is the most opaque I've ever found, also pretty cheap. They should also make more 2-color and 3 color silks, they're always out of stock.

    Seriously thinking of purchasing this machine with the AMS. I purchased a Creality Ender 3 Neo Max about a year ago, but sold it after around 6 months as I was tired of all the fiddling and add ons I needed to do pretty much what this does out of the box. It's pricey, but for the convenience I'm thinking its worth it. Looking at the K1 Max too, but I think the Bambu has the greater longevity for me given the additional AMS that the K1 Max does not support.

    Thanks for the fantastic review! I am buying one today, you convinced me =). I've followed 3D printing for many years and like you said, it's always come off as too finicky and not practical enough for the real work I want my 3D printer to do for me. With this generation of 3D printers and the smarts in this printer specifically I'm now finally excited enough about them to spend money on it. I've also spent the last few years getting to know Blender, so it will be fun to merge these two technologies together.
    I'm curious about the t-shirt you wore in this video, what are those icons? It's a cool look. Thanks for sharing your work with us!

So far only printing with PLA, but getting ready to start using some other filaments that I never had success with while using the Ender 3. The Ender 3 has been moved to an upstairs hobby room and interestingly since I placed it on a more sturdy and stable table I have not had to adjust the bed leveling even once. With the Bambu I feel like I skipped forward a decade in technology.

    Hmm coming from a Anycubic Viper it's not really a good upgrade the size is actually not that great, the AMS creates a lot of waste and isn't great for support material. The only thing it would bring is the speed increase that is over x5 as much as the current printer + the chamber. And keep in mind that one is heavily modified with Revo + LGX + Servos ..

      If you're talking about the auto-level each time it prints, I suspect you could edit the G-code to remove that line. Then it would just print whatever you sent it immediately, and only do the auto-level function if you specifically directed it to do so.

    • @DaveBuildsThings
      @DaveBuildsThings 8 месяцев назад

      It is pricey but then again this isn't a printer you'll spend hours on levelling the bed, adjusting the bed sensor or any other component. Heck, this printer doesn't even have a limit switch. It uses the torque feedback from the steppers to determine it's position. Plus it has automatic input shaping which is only needed on higher speed printers. I'd consider it more of an industrial type of printer than a typical home use one. (Didn't stop me from buying the P1S + AMS a year ago. Saved a long time to get but I LOVE IT!) I guess my point is, if you can afford it, it's worth it's weight in gold. And like @tinymito mentioned, you can have a look at the A1 and A1 Mini. Both are bed slingers and not core XY printers but they bring a lot of their big brothers qualities and features to the table at price point most can afford.

    • @meadmaker4525
      @meadmaker4525 3 месяца назад +1

      Without the AMS unit, it's $1200. People routinely pay that for a new cell phone...many of them each year. So, a one-time outlay for a printer of this quality and polish is not unreasonable. The Bambu P1S is the exact same machine as the X1C, but with a plastic enclosure and an older, not-as-fancy touch screen, and currently sells for $600. Or you could get a Neptune 4 Max for $440, with a massively bigger build volume, albeit as a bed slinger without an enclosure. You get different things at different levels of cost, often times with more problems that you'll have to figure out on your own. The X1C was designed to make 3D printing as close to simple/stupid as possible, and that's no small thing. A LOT of work went into it, so asking about the price of a new Apple/Samsung cell phone isn't unreasonable or unattainable for everyone. If you want expensive, look no further than the Prusa XL (5 individual print heads) for $4500.

      People routinely pay that for a cell phone...every year! So, a single outlay of $1300 for a printer that should last years isn't too bad. There are cheaper options, though. The Bambu P1S is essentially the same machine, with a plastic enclosure and a different interface, at like half the price. The X1C is just the new, shiny thing on the block, and it's a really well polished printer, so it's a little more expensive.

    look at the junk on his table! Is this where the printer is for? The more industrial filaments? Ok, it can print that, but how are de layer adhesion of these filaments. That kind of info is important if you use these filaments for parts that are going to use. Then the speed of printing has to slow down! No Mark, your info is useless for me

    a printer for everyone... $1.5K... well... guess we all are wealthy :) neither a printer for people with not that much money to spend it on a hobby like 3d printing... nor a printer for small homes :) of course a great printer for sure, but title "for everybody" is wrong... sorry ! A1 and A1 mini are more likely to be titled "for everyone"

      @@ericwheelhouse4371 I own the A1 + AMS that’s a printer for everyone. I just wanted to say that the X1 Carbon for sure is a great printer, but there are cheaper printers available doing a GOOD job too, so they are for everyone. Btw I fly FPV this hobby is not that cheap too 👍😊

    Not sure about all the data that Bambu takes from the printer... and all the encrypted data... and the company that it came from. I wont be buying anything from them even though it seems like a great technology, I dont trust it.

      There are many ways to reduce waste in Bambu Slicer. It can’t be eliminated, but can be reduced by up to 50%.
      Also, you can turn off the calibration and even bed leveling if you don’t want the X1C to do this every time.

    • @mariospanayiotou6644
      @mariospanayiotou6644 8 месяцев назад +3

      @@Pics2FlicksDennis it cant be eliminated with multicolour, but it can be eliminated with single colour. I’ve done it, you can minimize the purge or even set it to 0.

    • @patrickbroadhead1982
      @patrickbroadhead1982 8 месяцев назад +2

      You are basing the judgment on the customer service on allegedly being bad but no experience. The judgment of waste is on default settings which are meant for people to just go and not have to adjust anything and get quality color changes (so there's going to be overkill on purge) if you spend some time testing and adjusting you can cut waste to almost nothing. If you change colors or types on single material systems you have to purge manually which will still cause around the same amount of waste. The convenience and quality are definitely worth the cost for me and bamulab has much more cost effective options as well. You don't have to get one but that doesn't affect the fact that this printer is worth it for a lot of people in the maker space.
