- In this video, I share some names that I cannot use and the reasons why. I would love to hear what names you cannot use or names you love but won't be using down in the comments below!

I also used to love the name Hunter because of how it sounds, but as a vegan, it would also be the worst choice for me 😂
Haha I feel you on this!
I honestly don’t like that name at all…..all I think of is somebody who shoots 😔
Yay, a new video! I love the nickname Brie for Brenna.
So glad to hear you've been enjoying my videos! I have actually never got that nickname before😱😂
11:07 Jackson the rain dear lol 😂
Everyone knows him right?!?!😂
I love the name Veronica, but always think of the song from Heathers.
Wynter just bc my husband doesn't like that spelling. I absolutely adore it though.
Any names starting in G bc of my last name. I love Gabriella and Grace but don't want that double G.
I totally hear you on not wanting to double up a letter from your last name
I found the name Ottilie while doing family history and i think its really lovely and elegant but I'd worry about the kid being teased and called otter or something.
I don't think that name is so close to otter or anything- I would say go for it. It's gorgeous in my book!
I think of the creepy little doll from the Rugrats when I hear the name Cynthia hahah
Oh no lol! Definitely a no-go then haha
I can’t ever use the name; it’s my mom’s name- and I have mommy issues 😢
I think of either that, or my mother’s name….and long story short - I have mommy issues…..so I just straight up could and would never use that name 🥺
And why name such an evil-mannered girl Angelica? That’s irony if ever I heard of any 🥺
My married name starts with a "U", and so I feel like I could never use a name that starts with a "F" (I love Freya and Forest) or a "P", just based on the initials that would give my child 🫣
Haha honestly that is a fantastic point! My first two initials are BJ and that was never a great combo😂
I love love the name Corinna and I am so sorry that you find it unusable.I also like Bailey and Taylor but think both feel a little dated which is why I couldn't see myself using them. Gregory is a strong and underused name for boys that needs to come back. Claire is a beautiful and sweet timeless name.
I would love to use the names Autumn ( taken by a niece), Rhiannon ( taken by the daughter of a close friend),Reverie( my husband has vetoed it), Camille ( doesn't go with our last name), Samara( the movie The Ring makes that one a no- go), Clover( I love it but know I would have much trouble convincing my husband), November ( beautiful but a little much for a typical child not born to celebrity parents) and Tuesday,( same as November and for a boy Marley, I love it but it seems the girls have claimed it
Oh you've got some great taste! So sad that you can't use any of those options- convincing husbands can definitely be a battle at times😂
My husband’s family uses people names for all their pets, and it has limited some of our options for girl names.
We can’t use:
- Quinn
- Charlotte
- Ella
- Sophie
- Lucy
- Mabel
We actually really like the names Quinn and Charlotte
I totally understand the desire to not call your pet Fluffy or Spot or whatever but growing up with pets who have human names too really made me realize how important it is to not use your favorite names for pets!😂
@@babynamehelp I had a dog and cat growing up named Molly and Maggie and we have a cat now named stormy so we can’t use those names, we also fostered a cat named Willow so I associate the name with that cat 😅
Corinna is beautiful
It really is- it's such a shame I chose that name for this lady lol
This was hilarious
Haha glad you enjoyed!
I didn’t know that’s what Corinna was 😊
I can't use Melanie or Jessica. I used to like the name Melanie until I met a horrible person named Melanie. I know two horrible Jessicas. I just can't with either one of those names. I love the name Abigail, but I can't use it because it was the name of my grandmother's dog. Like you, I couldn't name a child a pet name. I can't do names that were trendy when I was a kid: Girls: Amanda, Brittany, Stephanie, Jenna, Ashley, Megan. Boys: Jared, Kyle, Justin, Ryan.
Thanks so much for sharing! I love to hear what names people have to rule out because of things like this- I definitely understand not being able to use a name of someone you met that was horrible. And I agree with not using names that were so common when we were young- it can seem too bland and ordinary then
I totally get it too - a single name can have so many connotations with a bad person you don’t want to be reminded of …and that’s tough 😞
I wonder what your husband and father in law’s rhyming names are? I was thinking of Burt and Kurt, but your husband’s name starts with a D… Daniel and Manuel?
I would personally avoid names starting with the same letters as mine ( I love Lydia and Lorelai, as well as Cordelia and Cassandra/Calliope).
Haha I love this little guessing game- my husband got a great kick out of Daniel and Manuel😂 but yeah I think avoiding names that start with the same letter as your own is probably a great way to go
@@babynamehelp Dan and Stan? Dustin and Justin? 😂
