    My cousin serves on that coastguard ship and he is the coastguard guy helping the other coastguard men back on their little vessel after checking the ship. He is such an awesome guy. Thanks for serving Ethan!

    Good to see the Coasties got a new boat. The cutter in the video where the Saga got boarded was old as hell and looked like a rust bucket on the outside.

    As much as these fishermen don't like the CG, they should remember that it's these same people that would be risking their lives to save theirs if any of them ever needed help.

      Not to mention they keep illegal fishing vessels away, so there's more to the "legit" fishermen.

      they only don't like them because they have to stop fishing when the coast guard comes, so they're losing money, burning fuel etc.

      It’s the same relationship that chefs have with the health department. We hate when they show up but glad they’re doing their job to keep everyone safe.

    I was active duty Coast Guard and unfortunately we had a boat this size we did a drug bust one and we had them out for over 12 days finding the stuff lol

    Are blue and red kings still closed in the berring sea?? I’ve been noticing a shortage of king crab legs at local supermarkets which is where these crabs go once they get processed through the cannery.. just wondering cuz I never seen Sig fish pacific cod before..

    Inspections are just that : Verification from another perspective.
    If one values another set of eyes in any scenarios, then they should not mind 3rd party enforcers carrying out their jobs. Minor annoyance maybe, but no hostilities.
    Principal operators have financial and operational safety to manage. It's not surprising that they might be biased to the former while slacking on the latter.
    Whereas inspectors have no such qualms.

      You arent breaking the law in port. The lack of jacobs ladder is required because its incredibly dangerous transfering ship to ship

    It appears that only one person on that Coast Guard crew would pass a height and weight test, with the officer being obviously morbidly obese. Disgraceful what our military has become these days.

      Had a friend have another heart attack while we were playing handball. Died the fire department revived him thank God. His wife was done. Took him and the kids to Florida.

      He has regular checkups, he's closer to home now. And to a seaman, unless you can't manage to walk aboard, being landlocked is worse than dying. Sig has salt water in his veins.

      As a fisherman of 35yrs. It's nice to know
      they are there to save us. Never had to call them .but please respect our saviors
      I'm a sailor now. But I follow all the rules
      And I'm happy

      Them doing boarding like that is no different than a trooper inspecting a suspicious vehicle on the road . Ships are way more dangerous they check everything like that to see damage or what not that the crew has missed or are arising.its also to make sure you have the best chance at success and not intrusive or invasive they don’t go though crew gear bags or locked lockers unless they have a reason

      Go watch some rescue diver videos or like anything. Also the cutters are still out in rough weather and least skilled my ass what’s the asvab score to get in the CG look at that 40 higher then all the others. The little brother if the military still has bite
