My cousin serves on that coastguard ship and he is the coastguard guy helping the other coastguard men back on their little vessel after checking the ship. He is such an awesome guy. Thanks for serving Ethan!
Knock it off no one cares dude

That stuff sucks but when you walk away with no violations in dangerous seas it has feel good. Good job cap. Tight ship.
Just makes a ladder on the fly what a stud!
Smooth move with Jacobs Ladder👍👍👍👍👍
After working on a few fishing boats , I can confirm, this shit happens all the time
I see the Coast Guard is eating good! 😂
As they should, and anyone else thats they serves their country!🇺🇸🍻✌🏻

Good to see the Coasties got a new boat. The cutter in the video where the Saga got boarded was old as hell and looked like a rust bucket on the outside.
This show go that department some serious funding, I remeber in the begging they only had like 3 working c130s and maybe 5 total j hawks
As much as these fishermen don't like the CG, they should remember that it's these same people that would be risking their lives to save theirs if any of them ever needed help.
Not to mention they keep illegal fishing vessels away, so there's more to the "legit" fishermen.
they only don't like them because they have to stop fishing when the coast guard comes, so they're losing money, burning fuel etc.
It’s the same relationship that chefs have with the health department. We hate when they show up but glad they’re doing their job to keep everyone safe.
Same with Commercial Motor Vehicle enforcement (DOT)
Love this series. Was saddened to hear about Wild Bill at the end of the last episode. Hope everything goes well for him 🙏
I haven’t watched in years. What happened to wild bill?

Sig it isn't personal, in fact you should be thanking them, they are the people that'll haul your ass out the brutal Bering sea if your boat gets damaged or sunk!
You must be deaf. He did thank them. He said I appreciate you.
I was active duty Coast Guard and unfortunately we had a boat this size we did a drug bust one and we had them out for over 12 days finding the stuff lol
Aren't you supposed to give them a safety briefing soon as they touch deck. It's good practice anyway. I had to
Sig should be happy he has a smart daughter!
9:28 Actually it does happen, Sig. Are you sure that ALL parts of the engines and generators have been checked for reliability?
i'm pretty sure they did test everything before they headed out. like they've said before, anything can happen when you're at sea.
The DOT for fishing boats !
RUSH WHEC723, 80-83. Shooting at us, discharging sewage on us and no jacobs ladder, tends to irritate us.😅
‘Clark you better cross your fingers’ -Sig (who didn’t have a Jacob’s ladder on his boat to begin with).
Are blue and red kings still closed in the berring sea?? I’ve been noticing a shortage of king crab legs at local supermarkets which is where these crabs go once they get processed through the cannery.. just wondering cuz I never seen Sig fish pacific cod before..
“I’ll make it happen” *translation* “I’ll get someone else to do it”
Common call of the middle manager in their natural habitat
Sig tells Mandy to get on making the ladder so she tells another guy to do it ... Got it.
that's a female for you..
She asked her boyfriend 🤷🏼♂️
Now they have Mandys ladder😆
She asked the engineer to do it, because that's their job. It's how chain of command works.
@@2centschange Mandy is not above the fucking Engineer of the boat 😂😂😂
Now girls calm down
No violations not for that ladder lol
Inspections are just that : Verification from another perspective.
If one values another set of eyes in any scenarios, then they should not mind 3rd party enforcers carrying out their jobs. Minor annoyance maybe, but no hostilities.
Principal operators have financial and operational safety to manage. It's not surprising that they might be biased to the former while slacking on the latter.
Whereas inspectors have no such qualms.
It blows my mind Mandy isn't Sig's real daughter and Jake is his nephew.
Damn FOR FREE Mandy?!
Survivor 😮😮
I see signs daughter chillin as usual
Sig looks all F/Ued, whats his problem?
clark is the son sig never had
They just wanted some TV time
I stopped watching because of Mandy. What does Edgar and Norman think of Mandy taking a cut????? She is not needed on the boat.
Maybe she could go make it or help
F Jacobs ladder!!!
We have Mandys ladder💯😎🥰
Why not do these inspections at port, before departure ?
You arent breaking the law in port. The lack of jacobs ladder is required because its incredibly dangerous transfering ship to ship
@@GBreezy57 I understand that, but I also understand it is a hell of a lot safer to do an inspection at port.
@patrickdean4853 because there could be black people on there and our great country doesn't need anymore of that scum.
Because the fishing is what they are inspecting
@@cgmason7568 why is the coast guard inspecting the fish, its job is to inspect the vessel? Fish are the responsibility of US Fish and Wildlife.
Oh No NoT tHe GeNeRaToR.......... AgAiN
Every single word mandy says and every move she makes is completely 100% scripted. They should have found a better actor to be his daughter
I cant believe these DRAMA QUEENS are still on the air😅😂
It appears that only one person on that Coast Guard crew would pass a height and weight test, with the officer being obviously morbidly obese. Disgraceful what our military has become these days.
That's corn fed, bet they could pass a PT test and lift way more than you can
He's fine. I assure you.
And you don't know how many layers he's got in under that survival suit. Best you shut your trap before speaking on things you have no knowledge of
The larger a soldier/sailor is the more cornfed they are, and the stronger they are. Corn for the win
Because they are wearing dry suits which are big and rigid and have air in them
I'm sorry but I must say, this man just had a heart attack and must not really care about his family or life his daughter should be taking over while he should be home.
Hard-headed
Had a friend have another heart attack while we were playing handball. Died the fire department revived him thank God. His wife was done. Took him and the kids to Florida.
Recently?
He has regular checkups, he's closer to home now. And to a seaman, unless you can't manage to walk aboard, being landlocked is worse than dying. Sig has salt water in his veins.
I completely understand. As long as his is taking care of himself. Then in turn he is still taking care of his family. My respect always
Mandys attitude is not good, especially the way she talks to the one crew member about not having the ladder. “ well it’ll be here in 30 minutes” not cool. She sounds like she’s is blaming him.
Our government is becoming more intrusive and invasive….this is just the start
As a fisherman of 35yrs. It's nice to know
they are there to save us. Never had to call them .but please respect our saviors
I'm a sailor now. But I follow all the rules
And I'm happy
Them doing boarding like that is no different than a trooper inspecting a suspicious vehicle on the road . Ships are way more dangerous they check everything like that to see damage or what not that the crew has missed or are arising.its also to make sure you have the best chance at success and not intrusive or invasive they don’t go though crew gear bags or locked lockers unless they have a reason
The only problem a good fisherman has with this is the timing.
All they check is safety and or illegal fishing, if you're in compliance with federal laws your good
The coast guard has been doing this for the last 50-100 years
amazing how they show up in calm waters

Go watch some rescue diver videos or like anything. Also the cutters are still out in rough weather and least skilled my ass what’s the asvab score to get in the CG look at that 40 higher then all the others. The little brother if the military still has bite
Would like to see you go out in hurricane force winds and seas and jump on other boats, sounds like you couldn't make it in the military
Rather be safe and known last position by coast guard then not safe and nobody knows your location to send rescue
