Love it that you've started to step on the rug before flipping it. No idea why it's so satisfying 😌 I think my favourite moment during every rug wash is the first use of the rotary, when half the rug is still super dirty and dark and the other half shows how beautiful it's underneath all that dirt. And from then on the beauty just gets brighter and more vibrant ❤️

Something I have noticed watching these videos is that the quality of the wool definitely matters in ease of cleaning. High quality wool seems to just let the dirt go a lot easier, while cheaper rugs seems to just cling to dirt
I just love it when the rug looks so dark, nearly black at the beginning and already after three steps it is soo bright (and still full of dirt, but you can see the colour shining already).

I love your videos! I've been binging them the past few days. I especially love seeing you do the little slow swirl in the middle with the shampoo. That and slow motion squeegee and foam waves at eye level are my favorite parts. So relaxing.
I love your videos so much as it’s so satisfying watching something come back to life. I’ve tried to watch others but they weren’t cleaning the rug properly (missing corners with the rotator etc) that it put me off watching them. I love how methodical and thorough you are. If it wasn’t for my medical problems I would definitely seek to do this myself

I recently found your channel and its so satifying and nice to watch but i have a question. when you pressure wash the back side of the rug, wouldn't it be better to lift it up with some kind of grid or light curtain to blast the dirt out und not trapping it on the other side? and is it just me or do the acidic rinse make the colours rally pop? sorry for maybe bad english and have a nice day.

Hi James! Huge fan. So glad we found you! My toddler and I like to cuddle up and fall asleep watching these videos. Lol! Sssooo..... here's my question. How do the machines work? We are a geeky family and would like to know more about the actual mechanics of the tools you use. In some of the videos, you explain the chemicals and order of operations but for example.... Is Dirt Reynolds hooked up to water also? Is his rotary brush rubber or plastic? How often do you have to replace the brushes? Are the machines almost self cleaning??? Or do u need to clean them after each job a specific way? I might be raising engineers and every little bit helps! Thank you much. Keep up the good work!!

So how long do you recommend I bury a carpet in the garden before digging it up and make a video of it being "cleaned". I only ask because in every video of this type, on the first rinse it's just loose soil being washed out. I would have thought a genuinely dirty carpet would have the dirt and grime "trodden" in, making it very difficult initially to remove . If somebody genuinely let's their carpets get so dirty why would they bother paying to have them cleaned ?.
I love watching these videos. I'm not sure why, but I do lol. I just have a question or it could be a suggestion. How come the platform is not raised on one end giving it a slop so the wast water runs off into the gutters and down the drain? I think it would be even more fun to watch if the carpet were on a raised platform that's grated so the water and dirt falls through and under the carpet?
It *is* on a slight slope. You can see it when he applies the shampoo, and it runs off the end of the rug. I think if the work area was a grating, you would not be able to apply the necessary pressure to sweep the dirty water out smoothly.

Question. Why don’t you just keep rinsing with hose under the rug until the water runs completely clear before extracting and having to repeat the process again? Wouldn’t it be the same if you just kept going the first round?
@@MountainRugCleaning so what makes the second rinse the rinse the vacuum doesn’t pull out more? Versus if you spent double the amount of time rinsing the first time? I love that you rinse again. I could watch you rinse all day, just trying to understand. ☺️
@@RugWashingASMR like i said. You can rinse all day till clear and the vacuum will pull more out. Once its pulled out though thats most of it gone. The second one is just a visual to say its clean. It doesnt actually really need it.

Question: why don't you clean the rugs on either a wire rack to set on the floor, or on a floor that is slanted so it can collect water easier? I'm sure theres an obvious answer that I just don't realize

How do you dry your rugs after cleaning? Do you let them air dry or do you force air to dry before mildew can set.

Great stuff! You should buy one of those elevated rubber grate mats to keep the rug from sitting in its own dirt - it might speed up the process
