The younger kids ages 6 to 14 from there were so mature and hardened for their age and most of them was focused on hustling and making money just to get snacks and something to eat. Things I for sure took for granted. The first Bucket Boys out of Chicago that used to play downtown were from Cabrini. Children grew up fast in Cabrini.

The twins who testified against El Chapo were from here. The Flores twins. Little Village, Pilsen and Humboldt Park have them in it. Lots of people blame the violence in this city on the projects being torn down. The Ickes, Cabrini Green, and others. One building would be say a GD controlled building and it gets torn down and they get scattered into BD territory or Stones territory.
That’s actually made it worse you used have gangs just in certain areas just like drugs was in certain areas you tore down the projects and thats spread everything out now you stay next door to your enemy or other drug dealers stepping in on your money

The person who they kill to avenge has the same thing. Next thing you know everyone is dead and there's still people on both sides unsatisfied wanting revenge.
