yes! they need a return to the sound & dynamics of ceremony, a masterpiece of tone, riffs & solos for days, passionate vocals & lyrics, a dreamscape blending all of the best of love, electric & sonic temple! give me mercy is def a step in the right direction, although they missed an opportunity to let billy loose, there was certainly a space for it 🤘🤘🎸🎤🎸🥁🔥⚡🔥🙌

I remember when Electric came out.
The radio station couldn't play just one song. The Cult's music is like cocaine,I dare you to listen to just one song. Five minutes later,you'll be jonesing for your next addictive track!!! BTW the radio station is still playing Cult tunes, 30+ years later. This band has staying power and I'm very impressed with the new track.

When I listen to the lyrics I hear some differences from this lyric upload; "In our wilderness lost" ,"Your savage heart, has stolen my name" and "In the tides of this world, you´re a victim of pain"...this makes it more coherent with the (self)reflective images and melancholy of the song and video...but of course this is just my personal interpretation!!, we all have one for sure! 💜Thank you Ian and Billy for giving us meaningful,beautiful,pleasurable music💜
Brought me back to the love album. Melodies and guitar riffs are brilliant and the rhythm section as always driving the song until the end… absolutely love it…

Holy shit new music! I never thought i'd see the day. Somehow, they still sound just as good as when they first started. This song feels very 80's but new. I love it.

I love "The Cult" from their beginnings and albums like "Dreamtime", especially "Love" which is a masterpiece, "Electric" and "Sonic Temple", The Cult have had their ups and downs through their 30-year career, but the last three albums were good, a mixture of dark post-punk to hard rock and back ("Born into This", "Choice of Weapon" and "Hidden City") and I hope that "Under the Midnight Sun" will be at least as good as the last three albums, whatever I love these guys...Cheers!!!

Ian is just amazing! His voice is still great as it was 35 years ago. Such a fantastic songwriting team in Ian and Billy....song is always kind of eerie and can't quite figure out the message yet because there definitely is a message

My all time favourite band ! Saw them live for the first time in my life, by accident, this weekend (found out the day of the concert that they were playing like 5 minutes away from where we were staying!). Took my 13 year old and his friend - we had a blast. They played a bunch of their famous rock anthems, and this song too. It was like it hasn't been 30 years since the 90s, when (we thought) they were at their peak. The amazing thing is, unlike many other huge rock bands from those times - The Cult sounds the same, if not better, and Ian's voice is as powerful as ever. Unfortunately in the audience you could not see many people under 40 (which is why we were a total hit, "cool mom" and two teenagers, lol, everyone was high-fiving us 😂😂, telling the boys to "listen to Ian and not Drake", "stay in school and be cool" etc, it was quite an experience for all three of us) .... I am so happy they keep making new music, can't wait for the new album in October. So amazing to have been present when The Cult and other rock giants were bursting onto the scene - the kids today can't really have the same experience anymore...
I’m 60 yrs old and discovered the Cult in college at age 23 or 24. They are such a incredible band as I’ve seen them live 4 time; 1991 being the last time. I want to see them again!! Does Billy’s solo has a hint of melodic David Gilmour?

I knew theyd been working on this for some time. Billy said early last year ge expected to release it later in the year but things took longer than expected. They never let the fans down. Now i pray they can play nice and complete a your. Screw that. Play DFW in texas and then do what ever you want. No i want them to have peace and enjoy themselves and make the world better for a little while. We all need it.

I love the cult above all, but this sounds like Siberia. I miss those big chorus and hooklines times of sonic temple. But i must admit by second and third times hearing the song it grows and went catchier

The best song from BIT, in my opinion, was not even on the standard release: War Pony Destroyer. That album felt lackluster.
