My Tascam Model 12 is broken!! The power switch has failed, I fix it in this video! Please dont try this at home! If you enjoy comment, like and subscribe! let me know if it helps!
Thank you for sharing. I started to experience the same issue with my Tascam 12 a couple weeks ago. Glad to see it is a relatively easy fix. I'm going to purchase a bunch of the switches while they are available just in case the new switches have the same issue.
@@TheHomeRecordingChannel cheers Paul, I am so chuffed I got it back to normal. Really hope so ! Thanks for checking out channel and leaving a comment 👍
Thanks for the link to purchase the Switch. Since learning of the Switch failures in the Model 12 I have left the Switch in the on position and always turn it on and off with a Furman Power Strip. But I might order a Switch just to have it in case mine fails. I have had my Tascam for almost 3 years without any problems
Hey Floyd, thanks for checking out the channel and letting me know you are getting one. Really easy fix you just have to be careful when pulling the little connectors off the original switch. Be gentle and patient and they will come free, happy recording 🎉
@@themediapreacher8154 yes, this will certainly help me one day. i've already had this kind of phenomenon several times. when changing, i'll try to dissolve the glue with a heat gun (not too hot) because it's a feat to extract this switch. Thanks for your help

Thanks for this video! My model 12 also has the same symptom (switch takes several turns to come on), so this is so great to know how to fix! Thanks
Great video Thanks!
Dzięki, dokładnie mam ten sam problem. Ale wtopa, to jest robota małych żółtych rączek, więc mogłem się tego spodziewać.
Thanks for the video and link to the switch you used!! As I wait for the delivery, i’ll spend the next couple days trying to get past this glue! ✌️💪🏻
Thanks for the comment, let me know how it goes ❤️

Thanks for checking out the channel Paul, I wish I had bought a few spares now as the postage was way more expensive than the switch !
@ I bought 10 of them.
@ great call Paul, might be calling on you if mine ever goes again 🤣🤣
@ I can send you a couple of my spares if you’d like
Just need to know where you need them shipped
Great video, you have possibly saved people a lot of money. Well done. Paul.

Job well done!
@@Fezzler61 Thanks Fezzler, I didn’t expect to be able to fix it in truth but for 20 quid it was worth a shot 🤣
Great. Now show us how to fix a broken sd card slot 😢
