I see that some people are nervous about installing their app, so let me say a few things about it. First, the app is 100% optional. Second, the controller remembers your settings, so you can install the app and get things how you like and then remove it. The app will ask for location and nearby devices during setup. Just something to keep in mind if it makes you nervous.

That's going to depend on the device and the case. Maximum length is 168 mm and it says compatible with phone cases with a thickness of 1 mm or less.

Fits fine. Sits up a bit like the Open.

Company's application is highly suspect, unclear why this company is being promoted, especially with the controller intended for your phone. Prudent reviewer / customer may want to look into the spy I mean permissions they would like.
The app is optional if you're worried for whatever reason. They make damn solid controllers.
@scaryifliteral appreciate the response, but will just agree to disagree. The application is required to alter the button layout among other things. The company application is a Trojan which I wouldn't allow to touch personal data. Maybe that's why controller is cheaper?
The vast majority of my time using their controllers I haven't even had the app installed. When you install it, it asks for location and nearby devices. It's not like you're giving it your Google account or anything. Change the settings to how you want and then remove the app if you're scared. The controller will keep the settings. IMO, this is a bit overblown.
Ok man chill you’re taking this out of proportion. This company has been around for a while now. I personally have never had issues and I have never heard of data been stolen because of their app.
