Thanks so much Blaise..... Glad you like LynnZhorn..... Wish I had LynnZhorn during my trumpet career, a looong time ago.... Better late than never, right?
You got it Lynn! I honestly can't bring myself to play my other horns, including my good ol' Bach. The LynnZhorn just outplays them all. Honestly, I thought I'd never find a horn that plays this easily. I don't know how you did it! Looks like a 2nd run is in order...:)
What trumpet do YOU play on?! Comment down below! Huge things on the way for y'all 🎺 SQUASH that SUB button! LET'S get to 10,000 SUBS TONIGHT GUYS👍😂💯!!!
I played on a mint 1975 Getzen Eterna 900S Severinsen model, and thought it was THE STUFF!! Until I played the LynnZhorn prototype at Lynn's home in Vegas for a couple of days. And after playing on LynnZhorn, the Severinsen felt overly STUFFY and unsure of itself, like it had a head cold!! It's like buying a great stereo speaker. You think you like the one you have, even if it's a very good speaker, UNTIL you listen to a top-of-the-line AUDIOPHILE speaker. Then you don't want to go back to your own speaker. I've had my LynnZhorn for nearly 3 weeks, and I can attest to EVERYTHING YOU SAID ABOUT IT!! It IS beyond a doubt THE best trumpet in the world, and at a price ($1,300?!? Are you kidding me?!? I played on Severinsen's Destino III in San Jose, CA...no comparison!) that makes you wonder what the catch is. THERE IS NO CATCH!! Lynn told me personally that he had accomplished everything HE wanted to accomplish in music. Nothing else to prove. So now he lives the life HE wants to live, without being dragged all over the world playing one club after another. But it was a dream of Lynn's to develop a professional trumpet with NO equal. One with NO compromises. And one with premium components and craftsmanship that doesn't break the bank. Since Lynn himself controlled every aspect of development and the quality of manufacturing, he was the only person he needed to get approval from. So he compromised NOTHING! I believe he pulled his dream off IN SPADES!! My quest for the best is officially over. I LOVE MY LYNNZHORN!!! My wife has a Fine Art degree in Metals from Boise State. When she first saw the new trumpet, she said, "I don't know anything about trumpets, but the metal working and finishing is amazing! It looks like it belongs in a gallery." I agree! It's that good!
Agreed! Lynn is the realest guy in the business, absolutely no bs, just results! Everything about the LynnZhorn is phenomenal! It plays better than all of the Schilke's, Kanstuls, Bachs, Yammies, Harrelsons, and countless other horns I've played! I feel bad for people who spend over $10,000 on trumpets! LynnZhorn honestly plays better, and at 1/10 of the cost. I was about to buy another Bach days before Lynn sent out the email. I'm glad I didn't! LynnZhorn honestly plays better, not even a competition!
2nd run please!!! Just bought a brand new student trumpet needed a back up. I have a King but it's old. And I'm still looking for a new horn, this video made my pick for my third trumpet! Thanks!
On the C slide, the slots are less firm; meaning it's way easier to bend, play high, etc... With the D slide, the slots are firmer, and intonation is more "locked-in," when you need absolute 100% precision... It's a great horn man! :)
In high school, by senior year, almost all my classes were music related. I was in every band there was, orchestra, symphonic, marching and Jazz Band. And in Jazz band, I always played the solos. My horn got damaged by one of the flag girls who whacked it with her flag staff, and bent the bell - the very night where I was to play the trumpet solo in Pennsylvania 6-5000. Someone was nice enough to arrange me a "loaner" for that night's jazz band concert. It was a Benge. I do not remember which model. So I never put the thing to my lips until that night. I remember it being night and day different than my old Bundy (even with the same mouthpiece), which I had been playing since the 6th grade. You could definitely FEEL the difference with the thing.
This dude a trumpet won't do the work for you, I know your pain the same thing happened to me just over a year ago, you just need to practice but a good trumpet won't hurt.
Hey Blaise, if you were going to ask what slide lube everyone uses, I would tell you that Lynn Nicholson uses "Australian Golden Lanolin, fragrance-free anhydrous pharmaceutical grade." Amazon sells it for $8.90 + $3.95 shipping. My 2 oz canister just came in today! 😉 Lynn's the best ever!!
I play a Bach strad model 37 with gold trim. I've played a MFST550 (rare silver MF horn) and found that the tuning is horrible and the tone is simply bad. Is tuning a problem on this horn? It sounds like it's a MF horn, which tends to be great in the upper register but lacks in the lower (where is played most in high school). Is the lower register thin?
LynnZhorn is not an MF Horn. although I believe Maynard would have liked it much more..... LynnZhorn has the best scale of any horn I've ever had, in all registers..... LynnZhorn gets a huge sound in the lower register, much bigger than that of the MF Horn or your Strad..... And the notes above high G are terrifying..... :)
I played one. Incredible across all registers. Great intonation, great sound, even, ultra free-blowing... The only way to put it, in my opinion, is that THERE IS NO HORN IN THE WAY. I want one. None available.
I’d rather just have the xeno, more durable. It’s built like a tank and will keep playing for a long time. Why do you think it’s a top choice for many DCI corps? It’s quite a good horn. But it depends on the model, the YTR 8335IIRS is probably the best value one given it’s quality and durability.
Better than all others, imo. Freakishly responsive and free-blowing, and all the other great stuff. After playing a band mate's, I want my own. None available.
Thanks so much Blaise..... Glad you like LynnZhorn..... Wish I had LynnZhorn during my trumpet career, a looong time ago.... Better late than never, right?

Lynn Nicholson I love what you done there pops! Looking forward to lay my hands on one!
Lynn Nicholson your a legend
Lynn Nicholson Lynn are you supplying more
Jury is still out on the second run..... We'll see.... :)
I just watched a video with Alison Balsam on the P Trumpet, which she said is the best in the world. Now I'm confused! ;)

I have 0003 and concur. Effortless in all registers. Awesome job Lynn Nicholson
Thanks Lynn.... :)
How do I get a link to buy or order one? I'm interested because I need to upgrade
michael gonzalez, email Lynn directly at: lynn9544@gmail.com
Great videos!
Nice to see TMO here! I can see you getting one as a nice addition to your videos
2nd run please!!! Just bought a brand new student trumpet needed a back up. I have a King but it's old. And I'm still looking for a new horn, this video made my pick for my third trumpet! Thanks!
Hey Blaise, did you notice that on the backside of the LynnZhorn case, there are built-in backpack straps? Pretty cool!
2nd run 2nd run 3rd run 4th run. Just keep them coming
Hell yeah yes please
I love my Bach Mt. Vernon, beautiful sound but honestly my LYNNZHORN is my go to for high register.
What was that note he played on the second video? Was that a triple G? 😱
Triple B.... :)
Lynn Nicholson wow that's amazing how many years have you been playing for?
Can you tell us more about how this horn addresses gap variations created by different mouthpiece shank lengths and tapers?
Hey Lynn I really want to get one and I want on the list but I dont know for sure if I'm going to be able to get one
Hey Blaise, what is the black stretchy band you have on the 2nd valve slide please? Got a video on that?
Can you explain what you mean by saying the c slide is "less accurate?" Do you mean the partial slots, I'm thinking about getting this horn. Thanks!
On the C slide, the slots are less firm; meaning it's way easier to bend, play high, etc... With the D slide, the slots are firmer, and intonation is more "locked-in," when you need absolute 100% precision... It's a great horn man! :)
Lynn Nicholson, do you have any tips on how to play higher on the trumpet? I really want to expand my range. You're a living legend.
interested in 2nd run Blaise and Lynn! What is the ballpark retail cost, specs, etc., etc.
Does this trumpet come with the xpiece mouthpiece or do you need to buy separately...
which configuration do you prefer?
the 1st one :)
What are you thoughts on Benge trumpets?
I play on a benge 65b for 2 or so years
I like Benges more than most horns, but it's hard to find a good one. The quality varies widely.
Kanstul Chicago's were fun. Then BAC bought the tooling when Kanstul closed.
So how much will it cost to get one?
Holy Moly ! Lynn N still crushing it !!!
2ND HORN 2ND HORN PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 2ND HORN!!!!!!!!!
At 6:46 it look like the slide is bent. Is that the lends or???
Nothing is bent, except where it is supposed to be bent..... :)
Will he make a soprano cornet or trumpet. Cause that would be brilliant preferably a soprano cornet.
I have a question. What is the difference between lanolin based trumpet grease and petroleum based?
Also what greases do you guys recommend?
So i have braces and used to play pretty high and now with limited range will this trumpet boost range or nah
This dude a trumpet won't do the work for you, I know your pain the same thing happened to me just over a year ago, you just need to practice but a good trumpet won't hurt.
Hey what’s special about a model 37 Stradivarius Bach trumpet?
His neighbours must be.... erm.... yeah...
I play on a benge 65b and have for 2 or so years I'm a sophomore in highschool and am first trumpet
I play a Yamaha student trumpet also 2nd run for Lynzhorns I want one so bad now lol
Those configurations are pretty genius tbh
finally! i just knew you got one lol
Ok, so I like the videos that he produces. I have a few complaints one of which is the a mount if saturation in the videos
3rd Run Lynn

Thanks Danny! Just picked some up, I was just thinking about that earlier haha

What's the song at the end?
i play a bach artisan... Is it inferior?
Unpopular opinion. Trumpet playing is more than just playing high notes
2ND RUN!
2nd horn please I want one really bad
Damn, I wish i hadn't bought a Xeno a few months ago :/
I just bought a XENO too. Regrets.
you could just give it to me...
My XENO is my baby 🚼. Her name is Allison.

Yes, it plays better than the 15+ different Strads I've played on. Still love my Strad, but LynnZhorn is honestly better in every aspect.
Blaise Bowman rip im broke, i just got my strad so 😬😬 im not gunna cop this any time soon
Better than all others, imo. Freakishly responsive and free-blowing, and all the other great stuff.
After playing a band mate's, I want my own. None available.
What's the intonation like?
The intonation with the C-slide is pretty good. But the intonation with the D-slide is just awesome!
