@@KosherTech no i have the same controller that tou reviewed and it can be controlled by the MasterPlus software for CoolerMaster divices, you need to go and check it.
Gotcha I appreciate it. If ur correct I will make a separate review going over the chroma software as well as the cooler master. I couldn't find anywhere where it said that this controller works with their software.
So does this actually connect and controlled via the usb2 port? Or is that only to update firmware? Coz I read mixed review and could never find a clear answer.
It is a plus for me that it has no dedicated software, because that means that it should work with any custom software of my joice. In contrast to the ASRock motherboard ARGB headers which do not work with e.g. SignalRGB, and that is the reason I needed to buy this extra controller even though 3 ARGB headers would already exist on my stupid motherboard... (The ASRock software is trash)
@@SoloZz00 it should. I used mine with SignalRGB. However, note that I didnt know how cheap this controller is made before I bought it. Those pins do not hold really well (the cables easily slip off the pins). I used glue to keep them together o.O Also there is no way to mount the controller somewhere in your PC Case. I just put it freely in between the power chords in my case and used some binding gear to hold it together and somewhat stable. Really cheap and weak design. Got it working tho. Also I have to turn off the PSU power completely before restarting my computer or else two to three fans will not light up correctly. That might be a problem with my motherboard tho.
Hi, I had an urgent question. I bought one of these but the controller is not working properly and the lights keep changing by themselves. Can I plug the 5v 3pin from the EZDIY controller into a Cooler Master controller to connect it with my motherboard via a USB since my motherboard doesn't have a 5V 3pin header. Basically I will be powering two controllers using two SATA connectors since both the controllers are connected in series. So the setup is like this 7 ARGB FANs (6 pin connector)-> EZDIY(5V 3 pin connector) -> Cooler Master controller -> USB motherboard. Will this work?
that's old ver...the new ver is Addressable Gen 2 RGB LED Controller ... can real customizer ARGB with MasterPlus+ software using USB similar with corsair node pro
I have a ARGB fan but my motherboard is the H310M S2P please help me. Only got a single fan, would this work for it? If not what adapter do I need to buy. Tysm
Hey where's the stats for Nerds? I'm buying this as I have 6 x MF120 Halo Fans (120 LED's per fan) and my MOBO aRGB header only supports 5 x aRGB Fans... I wanted to know can I daisy chain per port?! Thanks :)
At least the Cooler Master one can be used manually without having Windows installed, the Razer one won't. Believe it or not, not everyone uses Microsoft & having built in ARGB controls is handy for us Linux users, so if I was gonna get one of the two, Cooler Master would win.
not to mention the cooler master is cheaper for basically the same functionality, and it dose not matter what rgb header you have i.e. 3 pin 5v argb or 4 pin 12v, again if you neither its still more functional than the razor chroma as im not certain but im sure the chroma exclusively uses 3 pin 5v argb header, and it needs the razor chroma software more junk taking up space on drive just for some pretty colours
@@dj858 Agreed. I don't see how using existing motherboard software is a complaint with the review. I would much rather NOT deal with another program, deal with its issues and wait for updates and fixes.

Can you please do a review on CoolerMaster ARGB Controller vs CoolerMaster ARGB Controller A1 and let me know if both will worth other branded AIOs and fans and allow Individual LED control and Brightness control Note: Found that the old CoolerMaster ARGB Controller allows other branded AIO and fans to control lighting but no idea about individual LED and brightness Found the new CoolerMaster ARGB Controller A1 allows control of individual devices even if they are daisy chained but not sure if it will work with other brands
I have 6 CM halo (24 LEDs Each) case fans, 2 Sickle Flow ARGB (8 LEDS each) cpu cooler fans, the CM elv8 (24 LEDs) and one 36 argb LED strip plugged into mine. CM fans can daisy chain together or get an ARGM splitter cable to add more. My rig has a total of 220 LEDs running off this controller, the only thing you want to do it keep it under 80 LED's per port on the controller due to voltage and amps. I have it set up with 3 halo fans on 2 of the ports. The elv 8 on a port by itself and the ARGB strip and my cpu fans on another. Creates a circular pattern around the case in certain configs.

Hey brother, I saw that cooler master has an RGB and ARGB control software called Masterplus. Can you tell me if it is possible to control only by software with the fans connected to the motherboard or is a controller necessary?
i just want my fans to be white on future build. I refuse to download asus armory just for that or any software. if this lets me do that with just the controller, I'm buying it.
Poor review. He does not mention that: * there is no documentation that would make sense. You buy it and you are on your own. There is more information on marketing website than you get from the manual. the booklet is useless and hopeless, * the connection to motherboard to control from motherboard in sync with motherboard /ram lights does not work. At least for me. I have connected to addressable rgb socket on motherboard and I cannot make it control lights from motherboard software in any mode. There is a cable with 'GIGABYTE' and 'ASUS' stickers but completely no information on where to connect it to the motherboeard. On GIGABYTE board I have the 'ASUS' type header. Makes no sense. * there is a very limmited set of effects, and not even a soft 'saturated color cycle' . Only one single effect makes sense for me - this is a gentle color cycle through white. Other are quite flashy, can be used for 5 minutes after you buy it and you are done. * there is even NO SINGLE COLOR mode except for pure blue. * there is a FAN connector for a mode where the color is in sync with fan speed. I did NOT make it work either! This should be unboxing rather than review.
