Important: While you can connect 12 QL fans on the Lighting Node Pro, and the Commander Pro controllers, It's only possible if you use SignalRGB, iCUE will only let you do 6 QL fans on the Lighting Node Pro and the Commander Pro. You also will experience laggy effects if you connected 12 QL fans on the Lighting Node Pro and Commander Pro, so we still recommended the Commander Core XT which doesn't have this issue. However, you can run 12 of any other Corsair fans on the Lighting Node Pro and Commander Pro without any lag issues.

I just recently discovered this software and love it! Using it on 3 different systems. My kids and my own. I've recommended it to a few friends as well. While the kids are using the free version, I decided to subscribe (I do really despise subscriptions! Though, this one is quite reasonable). I chose to help support the effort over my reservations on subs. ;)
I can confirm that this works using the 'upHere 5V 3Pin ARGB PWM Fan Hub' (I think it is called the P7P) with a bit of configuration. It was flawless with my Cooler Master A1 V2 ARGB controller.
    Glad I found this software.

Great video. Perhaps I missed it but do you require both a hub and a controller? My mobo does not have argb headers, so I purchased the Razer Chroma hub, which has 3 pin male heads. However, the argb fans I purchased have 6 pin female heads, but it comes with a controller, which has a sata cable and a 3 pin female head, which can connect to the Razer Chroma hub. I was hoping to connect the fans directly to the Razer Chroma instead of going through a controller which then goes to the hub, but I'm not sure if there would be an incompatibility of voltages. Also, it seems a bit difficult relatively to find 3 pin argb fans.

This was a nice deep dive into RBG controllers, but didn't answer a question I have. Some RGB fans come with additional SATA power plug. I never know if this is necessary, or if the regular fan + argb header on the motherboard will suffice. For example, I have an AIO with RGB fans. It comes with a little controller that lets you change the colors and color modes physically, but you have to connect it to SATA power. However, you can then disconnect that connector and the LEDs will remember the set colors and still work. Recently, I bought a new AIO, which has an ARGB connector, as well as the regular fan connector, and also SATA power. With this one, I was hoping I could completely forgoe the SATA cable, as the ARGB connection to the motherboard should enable me to control the fans this way. However, with this one, the LEDs won't light up _at all_ unless the SATA is also connected. I don't understand that. And I don't understand how to figure these things out before buying RGB stuff. I would appreciate any help, insight, resources.

I'm still confused though. I've recently purchased a Cooler Master HAF 700 which includes an internal ARGB controller.
The problem is that while it lets me control fans led, fans rpm are always stuck to 100%, which is frustrating.
My question is if there's any solution to this. Like a ARGB fan hub that can actually control fan speeds over the motherboard or any other way.
    I'd really appreciatte any suggestions.

0:38 My old B450 Aorus mobo has two 4-pin headers labeled "D_LED" that can be toggled between 5v or 12v. I was always confused as to whether these are compatible with ARGB products. From your description, the answer appears to be yes. Am I understanding this correctly?

Is there any reason that I shouldn't use a Corsair Internal 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub | 4X 9-Pin USB 2.0 Ports | instead of the NZXT Internal USB Hub 3 | AC-IUSBH-M3 | 4 Internal USB 2.0 Ports? I have all kinds of Corsair equipment from 2 previous PC builds. I want to thank you for the section on adapter cables that let you connect Corsair products with other brands of hubs and such. I never knew about incompatibility problems until I spent way too much on Corsair. Thanks again.

Hey, So I recently got my hands on some nice UNI Fans V2s, however the new controller from lian li seems to be different from the inside, since in SignalRGB it says that this device is still unsupported. When I turn on Mobo Lighting Sync in L-Connect 3 it lets me use the rgb headers on the motherboard, still I cant configure different channels on my mobo because theres simply the button for it not there. What I have right now is basically all Fans having all the same color and no diversity. Since the controller is unsupported currently, will a Plugin for the new V2 controller fix these issues?

are there non sata powered controllers?? my rog b650a motherboard has 4 individual 7-pin ports... so i cant connect any of the corsair hubs or lian li ones. i purchased all my parts together my corsair fans arent compatible with my lian li controller and the sata port doesnt even fit as it is much bigger than a 7 pin connector i have. im obviously returning the lian li stuff. any recommendations on getting a controller that can sync 6 fans together that is not sata powered or uses a 7-pin cable??

is there a adapter to covert a fans like the CT120/140 that has the 3pin5v connector and 4pin PWM fan, to the Thermaltake connector that looks like a USB connector. I saw a video awhile that you can plug in the seperate cables into a TT controller that comes with TT fans, but I don't remember where I found it.

I use a Razer argb controller, and this is a great controller used in a totally BeQuiet system and an Alphacool AIO that can be modified in a custom loop.. In my next build, there will be a Razer, a Aqua computer quadro for the fans and pump from my custom loop. And a controller from Lian Li fans, and case. This will be fully automated. But I think I have to get adapter cables for the Lian Li uni fans. 3 on top with a EK-rad and 3 on the bottom also with a 4,5cm EK rad. This system has also 2 real blacklight mini TL tubes, on the side, together with my pump/ reservoir combo from EK the case is of course the 011 dyn EVO XL. It's only sad that Signal RGB doesn't support AMD GPU's. because that one is a 7900xtx. That can be a problem.

Where is the link mentioned in the video to the instructions to get Aquacomputer RGBpx strips to work in SignalRGB? I don't understand why controlling these LED strips would be any different. They are standard ARGB LEDs with a Molex Pico-blade connector instead of the terrible "standard" ARGB connector. The RGBpx cable connects the LED strip to a port on the Farbwerk360. SignalRGB should be able to control the LED strip like any other LED strip. What am I missing?
    Great video BTW!

@@SignalRGB Thank you! I think I understand why this needs to be done. I read somewhere on Discord (can't find it now), that the Aquasuite (AQS) program will always attempt to control the Farbwerk360 (or Nano) when it's running. So if you use AQS for your cooling component control, but you want to control a FW360 with Signal RGB, there will be a conflict, not unlike having Signal RGB control a Corsair RGB controller but having iCue running at the same time with the RGB controller enabled and under iCue control. The procedure at the link you provided uses the Ambientpx feature which causes the LEDs to track video color info. Since Signal RGB uses a "canvas", this is how you get the RGB color data in the FW360. Is this correct? Also, once it's set up this way, is it then OK to have AQS running and controlling fans, pumps, etc, while Signal RGB is controlling the FW360? Final question - The FW360 and Nano support Transparency which allows RGB effects to "bleed through" higher level effects. RGBpx ports on the Octo, Quadro, D5 Next, High Flow Next, etc. do not support Transparency. Is this feature maintained or even relevant when the FW device is under Signal RGB control? I know it's kind of weird to post detailed questions like this in a RUclips comment, but since you obviously read these comments, I figured I might as well ask. Many thanks for any additional info.

Are there any RGB Hubs that can be set via software but then store all the settings on board (meaning you can uninstall software and the settings remain throughout PC boot or different OS)? I'm getting B650 AORUS ELITE AX that has Fusion software, but that has to be run also and there seems to be no bios-level settings to control for RGB? (will check once I get the mb). But still, would be nice to have the best of both worlds - change settings via software, AND have them saved through hardware.

I recently got the firmware from my MSI MOBO corrupted with the led abnormal issue. I was thinking in bypass the problem buying a ARGB controller. The thing is that my ARGB fans, the Thermalright TL-C12C, are not supported by SignalRGB. If I connect this non supported fans to some non propietary ARGB controller, like the Razer Chroma, will I be able to control the fans inside SignalRGB?

Used the Razer Chroma Controller for a while. Good controller.
But damn all these controllers are so weak.
I was searching for a new controller for my new build but the main led strip around the front already has around 200 LEDs.
Gotta build a custom solution again.
You don’t happen to have support for microcontrollers?

Hi sorry long question. I have an NZXT H5 Elite case. The RGB hub preinstalled is already full. It can only take 3 connections. The two from the front fans and one from my NZXT Kraken Z53. I bought a new NZXT F120 RGB Duo to use as exhaust at the rear part of my case. I connected the fan wire to the chasis header of my MB and the RGB wire to the argb header on my MB. The fan spins but the light is only switching from Red and Green. It is syncing with Asus Aura sync but the color is only Red and Green. Do you know what the issue is? Thanks

I really wish I knew about the Lian Li SL fans before. Everything on RGB Signal says they’re supported. I just bought 9 fans and I couldn’t get them to sync up. The whole purpose of buying them was pointless now that I need to get expensive converter cables. Problem should meantion that in the application. I didn’t even notice anyone talking about it in Discord.

The 5v, 3 pin header on my MOBO is labeled JRAINBOW1. Is this the same exact thing but just labeled differently? It's an MSI mobo so it might just be how they label things but I haven't upgraded anything in a while and never used an RGB controller before so I can't tell.
