You are great😀👍. You are one of the few jewelers that provide all the information on how to make and where to find items to make the tools necessary to help people who are just starting in metal smithing ! Ron Delaware, Ohio
Yessss brother..rise upmy friend..these machines are too expensive...this diy is much better than them chain driven overpriced ones..i need to make, wait..i am obsessed with making big chains...and i need to pull 5.1mm at minimum to make myself a 22mm bracelet starting...sell that and make a chain and bracelet pair...this will help so much, thank you for opening my eyes..❤
Pretty great design and overall build. Although a bit confusing on tool usage. I am going to assume you used a variety of tools in interesting ways to show those that are limited on what tools they do have that this project can still be done.
What is the purpose of the T brackets? Personally, I would put the bolts pointing down, and trim them off underneath. Much neater, easier to tighten, and avoids any interference with the tongs.
While shopping for materials to make this, I realized the wenches are available with different torque limits. What lb torque would be recommended? I’m assuming the bigger the better, but there IS a bit of price difference…
@@HuiyiTan it is limited. I accept this build. Part of the self teaching is to overcome problems that limit my forward productivity. This year is start striding forward because the tools collected allow the progress. Thanks for your encouragement. ❤️
What is engineered wood? How come you didn’t use magnets to hold the draw plate to the brackets? How come you didn’t just go buy shorter bolts? Many of us don’t have a wood working shop and so need to make this as uncomplicated as possible. Why don’t you set up a power drill to turn the crank??
I have a very limited budget. The idea is to use what I can find in my place to make the draw bench to do the work. Most of the materials are left overs from other projects, including the piece of wood and the long nails.
So many questions on this, I don't get the overbuild, the big space between the end "T" brackets and the "L" brackets, hand screwdriver when there's a drill, those huge offset holes....wow. It does work but this was definitely NOT pushing the easy button. Phew! A real head scratcher....
Wow!!!! Thank you so much for this!!!!🤯🤍❤️
You are so welcome!😊
Thank you , this was so easy to follow and very helpful . 😊

You can find that in my list here: huiyitan.com/products/copy-of-a-list-of-materials-for-the-tabletop-drawbench

I’m going to be making a similar build.
If you have a limited budget like me, this is a great solution :)

@@flyingcheff I will make a new video with all the explanations :)
@HuiyiTan Oh thank you so much! Very grateful 🙏🙏
please excuse my ignorance but what is the purpose of the T plates?
hopefully this answers your question: ruclips.net/video/_FJnFndgnwU/видео.html
This is very cool! I'm confused about the tee plates though....are they there to help stand the bench up for storage? Or guide the wire?
you mean the 2 T shapes at the end of the bench?
@@HuiyiTan yes, what are the T-shapes for?
How you made wire going through the apparatus?
I will make a video to explain that :)

How much did this cost to make?
I mainly used leftovers from different DIY projects, so it costs me less than £30 or $40 ish USD.
