Wow... thank you so much for this video and providing the list. I have everything that you mention except the stones settings and burs. Very informative video.😊👍👍.
Chain is a very time-consuming thing to make but it's a good thing to learn. Hey is a tool that he might find very handy. ruclips.net/video/liF5881xR0Q/видео.html it makes and cuts jump rings really fast. As for making the Cuban chain you need a mounted vice to get that nice twist and to make them flat you need to file them down. You can get a flat board and screw it down to it and clamp or bolt it down to your work bench. This way you can file it without it moving around. 😁👍
Holy Moley! What a long list of materials... it's impressive that you took so much time to help us with all these links! Thank you. Thank you. You're really some kind of wonderful.
Hi Randy! Thanks, gonna share this to my group! Tip, go to the hardware store's plumbing section and you will find cast flanges that will accept threaded black "water" pipe that comes in various lengths and choose one that is close to the height of your flexshaft motor hanger, bolt the flange to your bench, thread the pipe in and voila! A very sturdy stand for your motor!
Thanks! As a beginner this was very helpful. Happy to say I have purchased 95% of these tools already. Very encouraging. I worry about needing a rolling mill, hydrolic press, & other large equipment I see my friends using.
I like how honesty you are we your public, all your advices was always taking me to a great path. Please keep up your amazing work, there is a lot of people who feel good with you around. Congratulations for your beautiful piece of work.
Thanks a lot. It's a chore to find this information. Most channels have this information in little bits all over the place. And of course, they don't explain nearly as well as you. P.S. love the name.
Thankyou for taking the time to make this video. I'm sure just like myself people will save time and precious rollers knowing what is really neededrather than a must have tool not because it's needed but because it's just wanted . I think this was one of a very few videos that took time to help I'm subbed cheers🤪
Yeah it is very old now but I still have a lot of the tools in this video haha. Check out my website and you can find a full list of all the tools I use 😄👍
Very clear and useful guide. To keep moisture from rusting steel dapping tools have you thought of upending them in a bowl/box of rice? Might not look as cool as the wood form but could save you time better spent on creating...?
Haha yeah the rust on my tools... This was due to me having to keep it all outside and it got rained on. Now I have everything inside so it's no longer a problem 😁. But thanks for the suggestions.
Hello sir I in to diamond manufacturing but in recent months I have been thinking a lot of getting in to jewelry making too.. But I want to know whether should I get some training first or should I start by learning myself watching videos and give it try after purchasing this tools!!!
Hey! So that is going to really be up to you see you would know best in regards to how you learn best. I would do a little of both if you have the cash to pay for training. I like the freedom to just try some stuff out on my own. 😁👍
How about rolling mill for wires ? Do you have another method since it's the most expensive. It's one of the best videos for beginners. Thanks for taking the time of making it.
You can't really get around a roller mill well other than just buying wire and sheet metal. I do have a roller mill but It is one of the cheapest ones that I can get my hands on. This is the one that I have amzn.to/2O9NGeP 😀
That's the same one I use. Have made 100s of feet of band material, sheet and square wires. But never round wire, easier to buy. I've even broken the dies and still it works, takes lots of practice and effort. But i wasn't going to buy material since i have the silver already.
So it really depends on what you are making to start. For example if you are just doing simple rings you will only need some basic tools from this list. I do suggest getting something better than a small food torch.
@@GomeowCreations thanks! I already have a propane tank with a torch attachment thingy hopefully that will work. I want to start off with just some metal rings and maybe chainlinks, would love to get into silver/gold/platinum as a side hobby/business but might be a while for that lol
Oh ok that should would for now and you can do the same things with silver and gold. I suggest working with copper is you don't want to put much money into this and get some skills down. After that get some silver, it's not too expensive really, and if you are selling it you will make back your money plus some profit. Gold is not something I really work with seeing that the cost is so crazy high. I only work with gold when a customer wants it and they understand the price. I don't suggest using Platinum, you need a hydrogen torch to work with it and it's a very hard metal along with being very expensive.
Thanks, I suddenly realised I did not have a tripod, and visiting my old workshop (I'm divorced, so whilst visiting my children I can spend an hour or so in the workshop) I just forged one. So, great idea, thanks.
I am subscribed to your site and would like to know if you have any videos an learning how to solder using the propane and mapp gas tanks and the difference of the metals and gauges? I use map gas for lamp working and wanting to learn soldering for making silver jewelry. You are good and i like to listen to you videos, Thank you!
I don't think I have many videos using propane and I don't have map gas but I was thinking of doing a video using tools you can get at your local hardware store and show how to use them.
Thank you! With the smith's little torch you can heat smaller areas with a lot more heat so I fell like I have a lot more control over heating the piece and making the solder flow. One other thing I like to do is fuse silver jump rings closed so I don't have to use any solder and it can make metal balls in seconds. 😀👍
I also have an oxygen and acetylene set up with my smiths mini torch. When lighting the torch the acetylene puts out soot before adding the oxygen. Do you have this problem? If not, what do you use to alleviate all the soot? Thank you!
Yeah soot is a common thing but for the most part if you have good ventilation this isn't really a problem. If you work next to a window but get a window fan and have it blowing out so it sucks all the soot out.
This torch head you have listed " BernzOmatic Basic Use UL2317 Brass Pencil Flame Propane Torch Head " can it be used on a mapp canister ( Yellow )? Thank you!

I stack the radials brush discs three deep usually too.
Haha well unless you live in Washington i can't really do any kind of training offline but I can setup one on one training via livestream. Email me if you are interested so we can work out the details. 😁👍 gomeowcreations@gmail.com

Hi! Could you make a video on how to buy silver? It's a little confusing on rio grande
What part of it is confusing?
Pro tip with the mandrill is to avoid hammering the ring over those ring size markings, always hammer to the side of them at it’ll last a lot longer

From where I got all these jewellery making tools in India
sorry but i dont know 😅
Have you ever used ProtectaClear? Did you like it? Or do you still prefer Permalac?
When I used ProtectaClear it wouldn't stick to the metal as good as the Permalac sray I use.
What about and I don’t know that it’s called but it’s for stone setting it’s like a push chisel
👍🏼
Why do you choose oxy-acetylene over oxy-propane, seeing that propane is a cleaner fuel?
At the time I got the oxy-acetylene due to it's higher temps. I could have really gone ether way and I still can always get a propane tank in the future if I want to give that a try. I just got a full set up for lost wax casting so the extra heat will come in handy.
