I so absolutely can't wait for this! So many projects to attempt! I really hope this engine will offer something like an "advanced" mode for those of us who aren't exactly master assembler programmers but can totally find their way around various flavors of basic, or say, GameMaker Studio.

You cannot add the spin dash for now. But you can add up and down animations

That's what I have in mind too. You'll still have the limitations of colors.
