This is a fantastic way to see the lake. Drones rock. If you want to see a wonder of water and weather. Go see South Haven MI lighthouse and walk way in jan, feb. It is encased in ice from wind, waves. Absolutely beautiful and otherworldly looking. I remember the eastern shores of lake Michigan with simple summer cottages and small homes. They are all taken by big monster Chicago money. You can see what is happening all down the shoreline. Give it 10, 20 years, they will be gone. More litter in the lake. Lake Michigan is one of the most violent ( storms) lakes in the world. But still "Great"

And so many people think they can change it with some stupid windmills. This is so far beyond our control. But people want to have the house on the lake. Now they have a great view of the iron breakers or monster rocks. I was blessed to have a little dumpy cottage 13 miles from South Haven. Not on the water, but close enough to enjoy it. Its even changing out there. In FL now, 15 minutes to beach. Ill be dead before the ocean reaches me.

@@googleuser868 yes, I agree. My cottage was very very old, but new roof, siding. Even had a furnace my friend stuck upstairs between the two bedrooms. Cut a few holes in the floor to blow warm air down too, what more could you ask for. Electricity, bathroom, and fantastic walking around Silver and Saddle lakes. My whole psychie changed just getting off off of 196 and heading east on Phoenix rd. What an experience of a lifetime. So sad to sell and move to FL. Be careful what you wish for. Now I would rather face 5 ft of snow than a hurricane. Hindsight comes too late in life.

Tons of memories being up there with family, friends.. just extremely sad to see silver beach basicly gone. All those homes losing their back yards down the shoreline which I assume is killing the value of those properties, and if they wanted to sell "Which nobody in their right mind would buy regardless if prices were low ball under market value it just wouldn't make sense for anyone to buy any of those properties at this point. Idk.. it's just a complete shame. I even watched a video that was at Warren Dunes "Tower Hill" and it's basicly the same scenario. Really pisses me off because those beaches are a huge part of summer time in this area..#1 I'm pissed they allowed this happen and not to mention all the potential for so many good things that they just aren't doing when it comes to utilizing this beautiful part of the country. I often wonder what the hell these top officials in the area are actually doing at work other then waiting on pay day. The lake bottom is still rebounding since the glaciers that cut the lake retreated. You can see it on dry land around the world where glaciers cut deep ravines. And silt and rocks from erosion have filled the ravines. Several hundred feet thick. But todays society we have to blame mankind for the ongoing changes the earth always going through.

Manufacturing toxins into the air, vehicle emissions gone awry and the emissions from cattle, pigs, and other farm animals are the greatest source of toxic gasses. All preventable. We are gluttonous and and selfish. Future generations will suffer greatly from our greed. Do one thing today. Walk instead of driving just one day. Give up meat for two days a week. Recycle.
