"Ten Pound Poms" Marian's story

Marian, a resident of Woodlands care home in Crowborough, reflects on a time when she moved to Australia as a child. Her story has been captured by the 'Bringing our stories to life' project led by Everyday Creativity and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Loved her story. I have mine, not a Ten pound pom, but they did help with our passage from Barbados in 1972 to Perth. I am in the process of writing my story. Loved my job as a SABCO sales rep for much of the SW down to Albany.
