Great list! Gave me alot to think about! Hey, Just wanted to share with you, I had a killer assessed tooth & ended up having surgery after suffering for 2 years. Clove Bud Oil was my go to, excellent relief. 10 bucks on Amazon for 4 Oz bottle. Just soaked a cotton ball & wedged it in. Really was incredible relief. Thanks again for all that you share, really motivating. My husband & I both enjoy & appreciate your channel.

Thank you for this video. I would like to add Ebanel 5% Lidocaine numbing cream. If possible minor stitching needs to be done, that will numb the skin to get it done. Or not to get too graphic, child delivery....the area can rip. To remove glass or metal shards from skin. Not that this would be an emergency, but to numb the area for a tattoo or piercing. Lidocaine will help tremendously. I have a few little jars of those in my medical bag. Scalpels, individually stored and sterile. Same with needles....individually stored/sealed and sterile. Saline solution to rinse out wounds and betadine. Rolls of gauze and the stretch wrap that sticks (no pins needed). Lots of medical items will be needed.
You are correct about the Oragel. That really helps for that throbbing pain where you can't think or speak it hurts so bad. Pain meds like tylenol, aleve, ibuprofen, aspirin to have to help alleviate all kinds of pain will be needed. I grow wild lettuce and make a tincture of it. That too will help with pain.
I bought a couple of cases of half pint glass bottles and glass pint bottles off of amazon. Have several cases of 1.75 liters of everclear and Spiritus for tinctures, but I can fill up those half pint and pint bottles for possible barter if needed. Or barter the empty bottles for others. I bought several tubes of liquid nicotine for vaping and I have several gallons of organic kosher veg glycerin to make juice for vaping. Packs of Nicorette gum as well.
I will not barter unless absolutely necessary, because I believe we have prepared enough to get us through. Security will be a major factor in our family to not to barter. Can't trust anyone in an SHTF mindset. Desperate people will do desperate things.
    God Bless America!

Don't forget the dental filler kit and dental wax to go with the oragel. The books"?Where there is no Dentist" and "Where there is no Doctor" are great books to have.
Put some frills on those food preps. Cocoa, olives, pickles, chocolate, condiments., spices. Don't forget Supreme brand Dollar store has LEAD in it, pitch it all and buy a different brand!
Get a coupler for the propane refills. The coupler for empting the near empty isobutane cans into each other so you get ALL the use.

I agree, people "think" they know what they will do in a situation but you never truly know until you are put there.. safety in numbers, trusted numbers and never disclose where you have anything. Smart idea on the business of charging things for people, love that. I came here to see what I could put back for "just in case" and you answered that.
The recent events of the world have me messed up a bit and I am just now starting to prep. I wish I had started long ago but better late than never at all..

All valid points. Antibiotics and medical, medical skills most valuable by far. People will give you anything and everything for it. Get 100 lbs of table salt. It stores indefinitely but people run out of it very quickly in shtf . Bic lighters, 100s of them, pocket knives, 10x todays value. Sugar, cooking oil, lard are very valuable, but not as storable.
And yes, solders on opposite sides did trade ammo for cigarettes around Sarajevo.

Another valuable video of information and strategy. Barter is an exchange of goods and services. It even happens today as folks make deals. Barter with strangers after a SHTF event will be dangerous. There are 3 stages of barter, Before, During, and After. Stocking up on supplies before a SHTF will be critical. Having skills to trade is also critical. During barter, security is critical when dealing with strangers. Location of barter, evaluating price of barter, and handshakes for the deal. After the barter, the cycle repeats itself, and lessons learned. Barter may go south or your outcome is successful. Planning........

Watch everybody, trust nobody...not even your own relatives, and don't let other people know what you've got or where you live. I know it may sound harsh to some...but it may save your life and that of your kids. Thanks for this video, you are a guy who has his head screwed on the right way and I would say you stand a very good chance in a SHTF scenario...most people wont because they 'believe in people'...just like the ones in the Warsaw ghetto in WW2 who told their neighbours of the radio in the attic, then were marched off to be shot by the gestapo after their good neighbour told on them for a few slices of bread.

I have alcohol for barter right now. I don't drink but I know lots of people that do. And some lighters and matches. Not much of anything else for barter yet.
Everything I have right now is for me and family not barter.
I am still building my food stocks for us before I really get into barter items.
Food shouldn't be a barter item to me. That's the thing we will all need the most of. So bartering off what I need isn't a good idea.

Thank you for including Gold & Silver, a financial prep so often dismissed and/or overlooked in the prepper community. In terms of vices, I think alcohol and cigarettes are probably a good choice. Anything can be a vice. It's what you do with the item that makes it into a vice. If you're smoking 5 packs a day, then maybe it's a vice I suppose. If, when you drink, you are getting drunk every time, then yeah, it's a vice. However, we don't control what people do with the alcohol & cigarettes. My only issue with alcohol would be if I was going to be in regular close contact with a person I was bartering it with and they had a drinking problem. In other words, I'd be cautious, if I thought bartering it meant I'd have to be around a drunk with guns. That's my only major issue. Coffee is a great item! I'm with you on the food. That was is like bartering ammo for me. I might barter food, but I would do it as little as possible, so as not to draw attention to myself. Good video!

I enjoyed your video. Rambo isn't even "Rambo".. lol But you're right, not too many Bruce Lee's running around. Security detail. I worked in fully occupied, maximum security prisons in 4 states ( NY, SC, Al and Tx) as a service tech. Also bounced in bars, all in the 80's. Earned my Black Belt when I was 40, around 2000. Part of our tests included 2 on 1 and 3 on 1. All but impossible to win before the clock ran out.
My barter items ? Only vodka, rabbit meat and skills. I buy a half pint or pint, almost every time I stop to get my whiskey. It has several uses. I think I might even consider buying a still, make my own spirits. Already have meat rabbits. I say now, I'd only barter meat, I might would barter a breeding pair to the right people. I have electrical/mechanical tools, and can use them after 45 years in manufacturing maintenance. Currently have my CDL and drive locally and teach martial arts. Thats my only income, but work I can do into my retirement.
I have plenty of supplies to build more cages and enclosures. If SHTF, I already have connections for some poultry, mainly Muscovy ducks. They can share the rabbit shed. I can add on an enclosure to keep the eagles and coyotes out. So duck meat could become a barter item as well. I feel like that by bartering bred meat, skills and vodka, I can minimize the attention of criminals. Pretty much no good to anyone if I'm dead.

As far as gold, we'll keep that in case we get to the other side of this mess. Silver will definitely be for trade.
Our hand pump for our well will be in next week so we could actually trade clean water. We have a MAG, crew, whatever you want to call it, so we have several good shots in our group that can help with trading. Definitely will have security on and off the property. We are also going to trade honey, eggs and chickens. We do have the other things but for valuable items we want, we need valuable things to trade.
I don't know what I'm capable of but if it came to my family and friends I'm pretty sure I'd be ready to defend them. I might be sick to my stomach later and I've never had to shoot someone but I've had to defend someone from another person physically that was bigger than me and I didn't hesitate. I hope I will be brave.
