I love winter and snow now that I’ve been retired and don’t have to drive in it. There’s nothing prettier than clean, glistening snow cover nature. Love this video❄️❄️❄️
We don't have much snow but when I think of snow I can't help but think of those who have to be out in it; be they humans or animals. It spoils the beauty of it for me.
I'm a truck driver, so the less snow I see the better. But it is pretty at the same time. I got caught in thunder snow once. It snowed 10 inches in 30 minutes very wet and heavy. I hope you have a Happy New Year and God bless you. I enjoy your videos.
Morning Mr Donnie. Another awesome video my friend. I like it but got so now it doesn't matter to me anymore. You can sure see where the wildlife been walking about, they sure must be tough to lay out in it and all. Appreciate you again my friend
Oh my goodness, What a wonderful lightening snow capture! I have seen lightening snow once it was amazing! I’ve been fortunate to experience Thunder snow a few times, but even with thunder snow you don’t always see lightning. And my goodness that was so many bolts arcing together, truly spectacular❣️Thank you Mr. Laws
I think you might get some snow this weekend, maybe a lot! I hope you and your wife are feeling better. My husband and I have been holding y’all up in prayer. Thank you for the beautiful video of the snow. God bless.
Donnie, as always, Thank you for sharing your mountains-We are in Central FL so what youve shown here is all the snow we're going to get. Moving to mountains in near future, hoping for small community & slower living. You provide an amazing array of all things Appalachian and are a great steward of the area, from the history and lifestyle of the people there, to showcasing all the aspects of environment there. You are a wonderful teacher and beneficial to so many by simply caring to share and putting in the effort you do to bring us into your world for a few minutes. You and others blessed beyond measure to have been brought up in the times you were, in area and culture you were. I know you count yourself fortunate. Enjoy your day
I can't remember the last time we had snow on the isle of wight, UK. must be over ten years ago now, we have children who have never seen snow at middle school now . I would love to see snow like that again, it's beautiful and very missed when you can't get any.
Yeah, I remember trying to drive on the snow and ice. Was really scary.Prayed a lot in those days.Thank God he heard and kept me safe back then on those winter roads.❤🙏
Thank you for this, brother Donnie! My favorite way to look at snow is in pictures and video. 😉 Being retired means I don't have to fight that stuff anymore, bless Abba! I remember a snow storm in the late 1970's when I couldn't take the chains off my old 1966 Rambler for a week! I managed a grocery store back then, and I had to pick up my employees and take them back home to keep the store open and running. So glad I don't have to worry about such as that anymore! May G-d bless you and yours with a great week, brother! Please pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
My husband and I lived 7 years in Alaska, Donnie, and I remember the sheer beauty of freshly fallen snow. Everything looked like it was covered with frosting! We never get snow here in south Georgia, but I do remember. God bless you, my friend, stay warm and dry!🙏❤️
It is BEAUTIFUL but I think about the little animals . I don't get out in it, it makes my bones hurt . Thank you for taking me along with you . Stay warm my friend . GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
Thank you Mr. Donnie! So very beautiful! I was feeling a bit jealous of the 1st snow falling at my daughter’s this morning, so thanks for the lovely snow scenes. The beautiful hills & trees covered in snow sure soothe my soul.
Mr.Donnie, I just wanted to Say THANK YOU FROM The BOTTOM Of My HEART To The VERY TIP Of My SOUL For Making This Video Of NOTHING BUT BEAUTIFUL PURE WHITE SNOW!!!!!!!! MY HEART WAS FLUTTERING ALL THROUGH THIS VIDEO!!! 🌨️❄️🥶 SNOW IS JUST SSSSOOOOOOOO FAR BEYOND BEAUTIFUL TO BEGIN WITH, But KNOWING That GOD ALMIGHTY MADE THE SNOW WITH HIS VERY OWN BREATH, Makes IT All The More INDESCRIBABLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Thank you Donnie for these trips down memory lane. I lived in Middlesborough until I was nine years old. Then we moved to north Georgia then over to South Carolina. I joined the US Air Force to "see the world" and wound up in Cheyenne, WY; but, I made the best of it. I do have a pragmatic outlook on life. I wouldn't exchange my memories for anything. Still, I remember my life living in Kentucky. Most of my relatives moved to Detroit to work in the car factories; but, my mother was widowed in her mid-twenties and she chose to move us to Georgia.
The snow laying on the evergreen trees looks stunning. The Lord has given us such beauty to behold. The older I get, the less I enjoy the cold. Thank you for sharing this Mr Donnie ❤ God bless you
Winter wonderland THANK YOU for that beautiful footage. The ice I can do without. The lightning snow I have heard of too but never seen😲whoa! You get some amazing captures Mr. Donnie🦌the snowy hikes were always bery special to♡ Thanks for making my Friday♡
That is a strange picture, but i think it's real. Thank you for this beautiful vision of your winter wonderland, i know it comes with a price. I'm not sure people today are tough enough to handle the way things used to be. I suppose this is why my people eventually moved on down to the valleys, nearer the cities. I do know they wanted to be closer to the schools, for the children to get a good education. Even today, nobody seems to appreciate those miners for the all they did and how it affected their lives. Same thing for truckers, they keep this country supplied with what they need...if they stop, the country stops. Lord bless and keep you, my friend. I'm happy you have that warm fire to sit by while you tell us these wonderful stories....they mean so much to me. I've got to catch up on the recent ones, thank you for all of them. I hope your New Year will be blessed.❤🙏
Thank you for this video. We don't get much snow anymore in New England, but when we do everyone gets excited, even though they complain about it. The trees especially are gorgeous, like white lace. Please keep creating these calming and meditative videos!
Thanks Donnie!! I always liked the peacefulness of the snow. When I was at our farm and we had a big snow storm, I would love to go for a walk, and watch and listen to the snow. It's so peaceful and quiet. Knowing the pot-bellied stove was blazing was comforting, for when I got back! Thanks Donnie....Happy New Year!!
I am so happy to hear someone else say they can hear the snow. I thought I was the only one. People thought it was crazy when I said I loved hearing the snow ❄️. Blessings to you 😊....
So beautiful! !993 was so great here. My children and other family members had so much fun playing in that snow and so many stories for them to pass on, even though we were having fun we prayed and checked on others to make sure all was warm Thank you Donnie Laws. Always a blessing to hear your stories. God bless🙏♥☃
Coming down those steep & narrow switchbacks in an ice storm is a precarious situ for sure but one does get used to it a bit. Pays to be mindful though, that snow of 93' was something else.
Donnie, I love your channel. There is nothing in this world better than a beautiful winter snow in the mountains, and a wood stove at home. God bless you. You bring joy to me in a hard time of my life. I truly appreciate you...
Ohhh how I love this video. 🥰🥰 . Your videos ALWAYS makes me and my heart smile.❤. The good Lord made a lot of beautiful things, but nothing is prettier than snow ❄️. It makes everything it touches beautiful even an old outhouse. I remember my paw paw talking about thunder snow and I was blessed to witness one. ❤ Snow is so peaceful and calming to my soul. It is a way of the Father telling me to stop and be still. There's nothing better than the feeling of coming in from the cold to a warm fireplace in the house. It's so cozy and relaxing. Thank you for this video, it's definitely one of your best and most beautiful 😍 🥰🥰💕💕
Love hearing your stories I’m 43 from south eastern KY and can relate!! Your remind me so much of my grandfather and my family. I currently live in Greenville SC but KY is my home!!
Great video Donnie…I pray you and your wife are feeling better 🙏🏻❤️ I agree the weather will be what the Good Lord wants it to be 🙏🏻❤️ Thank you for all the hard work you do to bring us these wonderful videos….God Bless You…..Lord willing I will see you next time 👍
Mornin’ everyone!!! God bless you and yours Mr. Donnie. It is 21 degrees F.. here this morning. I got coffee and crawled back under the covers. Decided the chickens can stay in for an extra hour or so!!😂
I took screenshots of lots of these pics, hoping to make a Christmas card for next year. If I get that done,I’ll let you know. They are breathtaking. BTW, I nearly wet my britches once waiting on who would win. It was cold like today,I was about 4 years old. I had to go potty and my Great Grandmother was visiting. I was bundling up to go to the outhouse when Grandma said it was too cold “for this baby”to go out and told me to use the chamber pot. My mother went into orbit!!!! Yelling that I would go out,Grandma saying nope. I should have known mother would win…. Lol
Happy new year MR Donnie hope you stay safe and warm in those beautiful mountains of yours it’s so easy for those of us who don’t experience snow and mountains like you do to be lulled into a false sense of oh how wonderful without realising the deadly toll nature can give along with the beauty😊thank you for showing us the area around your home
What a wonderful planet Terra we have here. The most unique in all our Sol system. Love her like she loves us! Cause love is the answer! Thanks my brother
Probably one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in nature. I just love it there in any weather! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoying your new year my friend! I want to thank you for the, what is years now, of beauty and happiness you have brought me Mr Donnie! This is, by far, my favorite RUclips channel! I hope there are many more generations of your family that keep the past close to their heart such as you do. Thank you for everything and GOD BLESS 🙏❤️✌️
I remember the blizzard of '93 very well but even discounting that it doesn't seem like we get snows anymore like we did back in the 60's. I recall in the Bible reading you wouldn't be able to tell one season from the next. Looking forward to a great year of videos Mr. Donnie.Until next time God Bless
I love your old photos & the beautiful scenery. Seeing your lightning picture, I think you're lucky to be alive! We're hoping to get snow near Hickory, especially since we don't have to drive to work anymore.
This was such a nice video! I love seeing the snowy woods. One of my favorite things to do as a kid was to wander around through the woods in our neighborhood and just find a nice stump to sit on and listen to the quiet. I still love to do that when I can. The rest of the video reminded me of the years I had to commute 50 miles one way from our farm here in ND into town where I worked. White outs are common, and I can't count the times I white-knuckled my way into town and back in those conditions. Up here the roads are flat and it's so easy to be blinded by all the white, so you don't see where the road ends on either side. It just all blends together. I'm so glad I live in town now and don't have to do that anymore. We still have plenty of ice and snow to deal with, but I pray for anyone having to drive on the highways in that kind of mess. It is dangerous. Thanks for sharing!
Oh it really is just heavenly!!😍❄️💙☃️ It's my favorite time of year. We got snow today and i just relishesd in God's beautiful creation. I do pray for people's safety who have to drive in it.🙏🏼 God bless and Happy New Year!🎉
I live in upstate New York right now, and we've been needing snow because of the two ski resorts here. Our business pretty much needs the snow to have a successful winter. It's so beautiful Mr Donnie. Thanks for sharing this. Lord bless you my friend, and I'm glad to see you're feeling better.❤
Hi Donnie! Beautiful imagery of the ridges and the snow. So Pretty and peaceful. Hard on the little critters I'm sure. We're expecting a little bit of that snow storm they keep talking about tomorrow here in the Ohio Valley. Not going to amount to much. Couple of inches if we're lucky. Won't hang around long. Never does anymore. The snow storms of my childhood have disappeared. We don't get winters like we used to. Happy New Year to you and yours. I hope y'all have a Prosperous and Healthy one. Take care friend. God Bless you. 🙏🙏🙏😇
Your strange photo of lightning in a snow storm triggered my memory. Late January or early February of 1963 we had a big snow. It was thundering and lightning as the snow came down. I was about 10 years old and lived in South Harriman, Tennessee. We lived in a big old store building that had giant plate glass windows and it was on a main road. Lightning struck a transformer across from our place and a line fell across a car with a woman and little girl in it. They were ok and the utility company and fire department rescued them. We were scared for them and prayed they would be ok. God answered those prayers. That's just one scary part of beautiful snow. The snow was waist deep on my oldest brother. He was nearly 6 feet tall, and trying to get some wood and coal dug out of the snow the morning after. Ice cycles hanging from porch roof were as big as your wrist and as long as from your wrist to your elbow. We don't see snow like that much here now, in the valley. We are blessed if we see a flurry or two now a days. Thank you for always sharing the beauty of your mountain home. Hope you two are much better now, I will keep you in my prayers.
Thanks so much for this snow day......all of it, so beautiful. Nothing like the silence and peace of the snow. Nothing like trying to get through it and surviving it. Wonderful adventure.
Yes, Patricia, I came to comment on the Peace & tranquility of this!! Mr.Laws and his wonderful accent & voice just adds to the Greatest of his Awesome videos!!! Thanks Mr Donnie 💙🧡💙 It's snowing in my little part of the world today too!!!(Utah, usa)
Thank you from my heart. You brought to a serene wonder world to a southern Californian. It is so refreshing and deliver me out of my troublesome life. God bless to you too Mr. Donnie.
Awesome my brother! That snow is beautiful across the mountains ain't it. That's a wild picture! Never seen lightening during a snow but strange things do happen, especially here in the hills! Thanks for this one Donnie. God bless you my awesome mountain brother
Thanks for taking us on a magical journey through the snow! I love snow and these pictures were beautiful. Praying we will get to see some this year in South Carolina🙏🏻. The G’ment is messing with our weather so much till nothing is “normal” anymore. Praying you and your wife are feeling better🙏🏻. God Bless!
I was born in '56. Growing up, I remember snow from November to April. Snow on the ground all winter. Got married in '73. That was the year of the fuel shortage, groceries doubled from June to August. We had the blizzards of '76, '78, and '80. I had blizzard babies! Lol, born the next fall! Then I remember the blizzard of '97, too! Ohio weather!! I've really enjoyed this video, thank you for sharing this with us! It's so beautiful!
March 93’. What an amazing blizzard to hit TN. We were stuck in the house for 4 days! The good old wood stove saved us. We used it for heat and mom cooked on it while the power was out.
Thanks for another wonderful video. Snow is beautiful but I don't like cold weather either. I love a good warm shove . I remember the blizzard of1993 I was 15 years old. God bless you Donnie
Thank you, Mr. Donnie, I enjoyed this video. I love snow but don't like the cold. Love the area where the animals usually are at. The snow makes magic happen . The whiteness turns the area into a peaceful calming forest. Thank you for your frosty lovely pics. God bless you and your family.
Hello my friend, this sure was a beautiful video. I love the winter and the snow. I remember the blizzard of 78, we was out of power for over 2 weeks. The state paid our neighbor to clear the highways with his D6 cat, the snow plows couldn't even move. Then after he got the roads opened up to where the plows could manage them, he pulled the power trucks through the country roads so they could restore the power. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful videos with us. Sending you many blessings for you and your family. 🙏🤗❤️
I always loved snow. We don't get much here, maybe this year😊 I remember as a child my grandmother making snow cream. Thanks Donnie for sharing this video...beautiful and peaceful❤
We didn't have a "snow of 1993" here in missouri we had the great floods instead. I really love your videos. I have acreage in se missouri with national forest on 3 sides but can't hardly get down to see it anymore. Nothing more beuatiful than the woods in a snowfall. Wish I'd never moved out of the woods. Biggest regret of my life ! I hate the city but am stuck here now.
Your timing is great for this video, Donnie. Starting tonight they are calling for a mix of sleet, snow and freezing rain. I think this is going to start late tonight and go through most of the day tomorrow. Over the next 2 weeks the weather is predicted to be off and on snow, sleet and all of that type of winter weather. But it's January...it's to be expected. I absolutely love snow. I get as excited at the first flakes as I did when I was young. It is so beautiful. I could do without ice of any form, but you have to take the good with the bad.
Beautiful snow, it causes us to stop and reflect. Don’t want to drive in it but I love watching it come down. It’s my dog’s favorite time of the year and we love to play in it together. You sound much better and hoping you and your wife are in good health now.
As a first responder, I have to go to work irregardless of the weather. I don't have a 4 wheel drive but my old truck has studded mud and snow tires on the back and cinderblock in the bed for weight. I remember 1993's March storm and the big storm of January 1987. Have a great weekend Donnie.
Donnie. I finally got my wife to put your video on my TV. It made it so much more enjoyable. I remember those big snows from when I was a kid. When it snowed back then, I would head for the mountains. I also ran a trap line when I was in high school. Lots of memories in your videos. Thanks.
That's some beautiful scenery. Being from Central AL it's very seldom I see anything like that. Maybe once every 5 years or so and it's usually gone in a day. Thanks Donnie
Thank You Donnie for this video ❤ My momma was stuck in her house in the blizzards of 1993 The Red Cross was called out to assist it was really severe in areas ❤❤❤❤
Donnie Laws is a national treasure ❤😊
WOW, Thank you friend.
God bless you friend.

My children and other family members had so much fun playing in that snow and so many stories for them to pass on, even though we were having fun we prayed and checked on others to make sure all was warm Thank you Donnie Laws. Always a blessing to hear your stories. God bless🙏♥☃
Awesome my friend. Glad to hear that. God bless you. Your very welcome. Thanks for sharing.
Coming down those steep & narrow switchbacks in an ice storm is a precarious situ for sure but one does get used to it a bit. Pays to be mindful though, that snow of 93' was something else.
That's for sure my friend. Thanks for sharing this.
Donnie, I love your channel. There is nothing in this world better than a beautiful winter snow in the mountains, and a wood stove at home. God bless you. You bring joy to me in a hard time of my life. I truly appreciate you...
Awesome my friend. God bless you. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much. Your very welcome.
Have a Blessed New Year Donnie. You are so right about the comfort and security of a wood stove.
Thank you friend. God bless you.
Awesome my friend. Thanks so much.
Love hearing your stories I’m 43 from south eastern KY and can relate!! Your remind me so much of my grandfather and my family. I currently live in Greenville SC but KY is my home!!
Awesome my friend. God bless you. Thanks so much for sharing this.
Great video Donnie…I pray you and your wife are feeling better 🙏🏻❤️ I agree the weather will be what the Good Lord wants it to be 🙏🏻❤️ Thank you for all the hard work you do to bring us these wonderful videos….God Bless You…..Lord willing I will see you next time 👍
Awesome my friend. Thanks for sharing. God bless you.
Mornin’ everyone!!! God bless you and yours Mr. Donnie.
It is 21 degrees F.. here this morning. I got coffee and crawled back under the covers. Decided the chickens can stay in for an extra hour or so!!😂
Good morning my friend. It's cold here as well at 24. Thanks for sharing.
Lol
Thank you. That was a nice fire. Snow is pretty but bothersome to work around. You are right. Enjoyed the sightseeing adventure ❤😊
Thank you friend. Your very welcome. God bless you.
Hello my friend. God bless you. Thanks for sharing. Stay warm my friend.
@donnielaws7020 you grew in michigan?
@@rondamontague2714No my friend. Lived there as a small child for 2 years . Dad worked at for motor company for a while. Between coal mining jobs.
What a wonderful planet Terra we have here. The most unique in all our Sol system. Love her like she loves us! Cause love is the answer! Thanks my brother
Amen my friend. God bless you. Your very welcome.
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend. God bless you. HAPPY new year. So glad you enjoy them. Thanks again my friend.
So beautiful!! That fire shure looks cozy and warm!!
Thank you friend.
That's so true my friend. Thanks for sharing this. God bless you.
Beautiful. I live in the deep south snow is very rare. Thank you. God Bless you.
Thank you friend. Your very welcome.
I love your old photos & the beautiful scenery. Seeing your lightning picture, I think you're lucky to be alive! We're hoping to get snow near Hickory, especially since we don't have to drive to work anymore.
Thank you friend for sharing this. God bless you. Thank you so much. Stay warm my friend.
We love that photo of the lightning snow... very odd and rare. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Yes it is my friend. Very rare. Thanks for sharing this.
That's so awesome my friend. Thanks so much for sharing your memories. God bless you.
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend. Your very welcome.
Yup. Here in the northern Hudson Valley we are expecting 10” tomorrow. Lucky I’m off work tomorrow and I have plenty of firewood.
WOW.
@@MDR-hn2yz Hudson Falls here. 1st big snow this year!
Hello my friend. Thanks for sharing this. God bless you. Stay warm.
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend. God bless you. Your very welcome.
Oh I love your voice. I’m here in WNC born and raised. We don’t get snow like we used to. I survived blizzard of 93. Just love the snow!😊 ❄️
Awesome my friend. Thanks for sharing this. God bless you.
Thanks so much for this snow day......all of it, so beautiful. Nothing like the silence and peace of the snow. Nothing like trying to get through it and surviving it. Wonderful adventure.

Awesome my brother! That snow is beautiful across the mountains ain't it. That's a wild picture! Never seen lightening during a snow but strange things do happen, especially here in the hills! Thanks for this one Donnie. God bless you my awesome mountain brother
Thank you my brother for sharing this. I have heard in a snow storm but never seen it. God bless you.

Amen my friend. God bless you.
God Bless!
Your very welcome my friend
Thank you so much. God bless you.
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend. God bless you. So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much. Your very welcome.
March 93’. What an amazing blizzard to hit TN. We were stuck in the house for 4 days! The good old wood stove saved us. We used it for heat and mom cooked on it while the power was out.
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend.
Lightning snow! Cool!
Good morning sir 🌞 have a great day 😊👋
Good morning my friend. You to.
Thanks for another wonderful video. Snow is beautiful but I don't like cold weather either. I love a good warm shove . I remember the blizzard of1993 I was 15 years old. God bless you Donnie
Thank you friend for sharing this. Your very welcome.
Awesome my friend. Thanks so much for sharing this. God bless you. Your very welcome.
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend. God bless you. Thank you That was rough.
I always loved snow. We don't get much here, maybe this year😊 I remember as a child my grandmother making snow cream. Thanks Donnie for sharing this video...beautiful and peaceful❤
Awesome my friend. Thanks for sharing this. God bless you.
Snow cream sounds so good. Got to love the grandmas ❤️
Donnie
What a wonderful site of gods creation.
Thank you for your videos
God bless and keep up the great work
Thank you so much my friend. Glad you enjoyed it. God bless you. Thank you.
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend. God bless you.
I was just thinking the same thing. We had terrible floods here in Alabama that year.
Thank you for the beautiful pictures! You do such a great job. ❤
Your very welcome my friend.
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend. God bless you.
Beautiful snow, it causes us to stop and reflect. Don’t want to drive in it but I love watching it come down. It’s my dog’s favorite time of the year and we love to play in it together. You sound much better and hoping you and your wife are in good health now.
That's awesome my friend. Thanks for sharing this. God bless you. Thank you so much.
As a first responder, I have to go to work irregardless of the weather. I don't have a 4 wheel drive but my old truck has studded mud and snow tires on the back and cinderblock in the bed for weight. I remember 1993's March storm and the big storm of January 1987. Have a great weekend Donnie.
Awesome my friend. Stay safe out there. God bless you.
That was beautiful. I do love the snow but as you were saying just not the downside of it. Thank you for sharing Mr. Donnie. God bless you❤
Your very welcome my friend. Thanks for sharing this. God bless you.
I remember as a kid in NY how quiet, peaceful and still the landscape was
Awesome my friend. Thanks for sharing this.
Donnie. I finally got my wife to put your video on my TV. It made it so much more enjoyable. I remember those big snows from when I was a kid. When it snowed back then, I would head for the mountains. I also ran a trap line when I was in high school. Lots of memories in your videos. Thanks.
Awesome my friend. Thanks for sharing this. God bless you.
That's some beautiful scenery. Being from Central AL it's very seldom I see anything like that. Maybe once every 5 years or so and it's usually gone in a day. Thanks Donnie
Thanks for sharing this my friend. Your very welcome.
I always have a hard time to sleep but listening to your voice and stories put me to sleep right away thank you Donnie
Awesome my friend. Thanks for sharing.
Thank You Donnie for this video ❤ My momma was stuck in her house in the blizzards of 1993
