Hit Boy was the piece of the puzzle Nas needed on the production side. But Hit Boy went hard because of contract bullshit. I think he signed a shitty contract at the jump and didn't understand "music math".

Hit-Boy been putting in work for a minute. I tuned in when I saw him and Fab in the studio supposedly working on Loso's Way 2. I later recognized some of his beats in other artist use and started listening to his solo projects. Half A Mil showed he had the multi talents with his rapping. Good video.

I don't get why Hip-Hop tries to put an age limit on it's self. That's helping the music industry that didn't think it was music 50yrs ago keep treating our music with disrespect. Other genres of music have artists who've been stars for over 50yrs and still make music and sell out concerts. We have to stop tearing ourselves down so everyone will give us the same respect they give each other. I was lucky to be born at a time when I've gotten to see all of Hip-Hop and it deserves better

the problem with Hit-Boy is that he sometimes is more like Mid-Boy and for long time his beats were mediocre
his work on Nas' albums are also heavily overrated I think it is because Nas for long time had atrocious bit selection
also Nas carried hard these records and Hit-Boy has his impact in it but it's more visible in the studio chemistry that let Nas feel comfortable than in the beats itself
IMO these beats Kanye gave him on NASIR are much better than anything Hit-Boy did on these albums BUT the way Kanye works wasn't for Nas so he didn't delivered
