Now, that's what you call a real friend--when one LISTENS and UNDERSTANDS and RESPECTS where you are and let's you do you. Priceless.

    Andre is truly an inspirational story. He went from being from a place where nobody recognised talent to making tne best selling rap album of all time in 2003 (the biggest year in US hip hop history...kind of). Not only that, but let's be honest, Atlanta is the biggest city in hip hop of all time, surpassing even New York now. Sure, NY is the hip hop capital but ATL has been running the game since at least 2004 and will probably do so for another 20 years. It was Outkast that put them on the map.

    • @joebrat6809
      @joebrat6809 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@Mar1copa I agree, it wasn't the best era. I was born in 1985 and I actually prefer the current era to the 2000s, because all we had back then was generic gangsta rap and corny pop rap with basic rhymes. Now we have gangsta rap (Lil Durk, Pop Smoke, Meek Mill), commercial rap (Drake, Cardi B, Megan), and lyrical rap (J Cole, Kendrick). At least it shows BALANCE. Just like the 90s when you had gangsta rap (Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre, Mobb Deep), commercial rap (Vanilla Ice, L L Cool J, MC Hammer) and lyrical rap (Nas, Common,Az). The 90s version of this is of course the better one but still, the 2000s was probably the worst decade of rap.

Maybe he'll feel comfortable to give them what they want if they respect what kinda timing he's on. He elevates the term entertainer because he's always done what he felt. So let him vibe. How Andre Leave Hip Hop, ……him , Oukast, Dungeon Family, Organized Noise, are part of Hip Hops foundation.
    Just because A grown family man, is making music that isn’t catering to anybody specifically. Andre 3000 has left enough gems for us recite into the future, and here we are……..Andre 3000 is his own genre, give thanks that he is enjoying his life whilst still creating something new and never done like this, that Hip Hop in its essence . A movement, not a genre.

    a lot of the “industry” standard of success, is based on non-sustainable ideals, such as ONLY being focused on making more and more money in order to finance a increasingly dysfunctional lifestyle that is devoid of happiness and peace. his new album (and the reasons for its creation) are the exact opposite.

      But that’s part of the beauty of it, he’s introducing a lot more people to ambient music who otherwise wouldn’t know how much they’d enjoy it. This is the first ambient album I’ve listened to and I love it; it’s gotten me to really explore (and enjoy) the genre more.

      IKR? If you actually like this style, give praise to the people that have been doing this their whole lives, not Andre. There are probably hundreds of more skilled flute players, yet people act like he made the album of the year even tho they dont care about the style.

    His new album is not a hip hop album. Respects to him for creating the music he wants to create however he needs to drop a solo hip hop album because people keep calling him the best rapper ever. As a group Outkast in my top 10 as one of the best hip hop groups. ATLians is one of my favorite albums ever.

    Ummmm…. ANDRE 3000 didn’t like the way they were trvna divide him and big boi especially during the idlewild album. He always wanted to show love to the contributions as a group and have ppl see OutKast as OutKast not Andre 3000 and the group. Like Big Boi needs his flowers too as one of the best to do it. And another thing too OutKast we’re highly scrutinized for their music u can hear it in their versus on multiple projects. They BOTH pushed the culture musically and lyrically. Criticism, fake business ppl, ppl who don’t see them as human like them, and just constant controversy can take the fun away from anything.

    While 'New Blue Sun' hasn't particularly wowed me, I don't think it's nearly as bad as a lot of the haters like to say it is. I do applaud his artistic direction and I hope this move liberates other artists - regardless of genre - into doing what their true creative soul yearns to do. With that, he has my full support.

    To me when it comes to the GOAT Rapper Conversation. I believe Andre 3000 is the GOAT Rapper Of All Time. The fact that he has given us so much an almost 30 year career. One Half of the greatest hip-hop duo and some of the most iconic guest verses of all time. I appreciate his artistry and authenticity.
    The fact that he stepped away from Hip-Hop has earned my respect. He is at creative and artistic peace.
