You skipped Ruthless. Dre ran the music part. He was in charge. Eazy put the money in but Dre made all the musical decisions. All music released while he was there was produced by him and he chose who would come out and when. Dre was in charge on the NWA albums, Michelles first album, Eazy Es album, DOCs album and more. At death row he did the same thing he did at ruthless but the difference was he was part owner.
@arizonaFIREent I haven't heard many songs produced by Yella. He has a weird producing style but he did a little production but very little. He said that himself.
@@charnelveil669 yeah man you see the reason most people think that Nate Dogg was on death row is because in 96 Death Row released their greatest hits album which included the song Aint No Fun by Snoop. It also had No Vaseline by Ice Cube on it…super weird album. Anyways, most people think Nate Dogg and 213 had a deal with Death Row but they never did. They all had separate deals and I’ve been trying to find out for awhile why. I spoke to one of Snoops cousins who told me Nate Dogg and Warren G didn’t want to be in business with Suge but still trying to get more clarity on this.
Lady of rage and RBX. We're cool but they were not good solo artists. They were ok rappers but not good songwriters it's a big difference. And another thing they say lady of rage was lazy and didn't record all the time. 2 pac asked her did she want him to help her finish her album and she said no. And Nate dogg was not a good solo artist his albums were ok at best. He's just a legendary master of hooks. He sounds good on hooks. Not really a whole song Nate dogg was signed to death row. He got out of his contract to sign with another label.
@@syeebrown5456 can you go more into the Nate Dogg contract info I can’t find that information anywhere. Also what was the deal with Warren G? Trying to find this out.
Dr. Dre is successful because he’s always quality over quantity . When you look at the number of people, he assigned to aftermath that actually put out albums, it’s not like there’s 20 people on that list. There’s himself, Eminem, 50 Cent, Game and Kendrick . And after the dynasty that aftermath had in the late 90s through mid 2000s for a little while they are, it was just he and Eminem . And Eminem’s album is still going to platinum. And then he signs Kendrick and he’s another artist himself that is quality over quantity. So you don’t get two albums a year from aftermath , but 90% of the time when they do drop, it’s going to be something good.
Unique idea, and excellent choice in material, I’m actually surprised someone did this, you r speaking for the ppl who cannot due to the threat they deal with
