Sorry, she gave them their number 1 season. They dropped her for Karen Cellini who was NO Catherine. Heather and Catherine were the young beauties of the show. Karen would have been fine for a sitcom like Roseanne but NOT Dynasty. The show tanked in ratings in season 7 when Catherine was no longer there. The cast in season 1-6 was perfect and the show runners got greedy. She wasn't even being oaid what Heather was and Karma killed Dynasty soon after. Season 1-6 were magic. Season 7 and 8 were awful. Season 9 was great but by then it was too late and viewers ha d left.

You're both right -- she was perfect for 'Dynasty' and was there for its peak sector -- but the bosses re-cast all four grown Carrington children (Aaron Spelling once said "nobody gives a damn" if you recast supporting characters --- which isn't true at all!) and the key writers had some unfortunate creative flaws which caused the show to go into a long, long slide that went on for years... That said, Oxenberg had an attitude, her agent was overly ambitious for her (not just regarding salary but also the size of her role) and Spelling didn't like her much, either... So there's plenty of blame to go around, to say nothing of tone-deaf, delusional judgment from everybody.
Was great to see Catherine in such good spirits! Sure wish she would’ve talked about Dynasty tho, would’ve been interesting to here some of her experiences
