Hello I am new to Marketplace and decided to sell some Halloween decorations. My struggle is trying to keep up with all the different messages through the marketplace. I don't have FB on my phone, I created account through the web. Since then I have so many just messaging me asking "if it is still available" and not really much after that. Obviously I am not at my computer all day but I want to respond in a timely manner. I don't want my phone to be blowing up with messages especially if they aren't really interested. Any suggestions? I always meet in a public place like a coffee shop, unless it's a large item they'll need to pick up. If someone is coming to my place, I always have another person with me.
Great tutorial, though as a brand new user, I'd like to know if Facebook gets paid, and how I would get paid when something sells. Do I have to use a PayPal account or some other? Check or cash only?
The only time Facebook gets paid is if you are shipping an item. If it's a local pickup then you get paid directly by the person picking up an item. Never take a check for a local pickup, cash only, preferably in in public location if an item is more expensive. When I post an item that I am able to ship, I only use Facebook Pay. For me, this is the safest and easiest way to get paid. When you set up, you can use whatever account you want the payment to go into, I believe. I have it deposited directly into a savings account that I use only for Facebook transactions. The buyer can use any form of payment. Their form of payment does not effect you in any way. You will be paid by Facebook after the item is delivered, about a week after. Also keep in mind that you will receive a 1099 from Facebook if your shipped sales are over a certain threshold. Was $600, not sure if it's the same this year. Hope this helps some 😊.
Does languages affect the listings ? , for example if my facebook account is in English but i post an listing on facebook marketplace but in spanish and with an image in Spanish , will they see that as something against the rules?

Thanks for the info. I usually do list my items in local yard sale groups but I know what you mean by getting weird comments. If I just list in the marketplace does it only show to local people which is what I want. I only do local meetups and no shipping. I dont want a lot of people in diferent states or far away locations seeing it, getting my hopes up only to find out they are too far away. Thanks

Wow I had been putting off watching a video like this to sell an old comic that I wanted to get off my hands and Nene choose to get some extra cash and I am now kicking myself I thought this was going to be a very complex process but it really isn't now I'm more confident selling stuff and now I see why this one antique shop owner said she hardly ever buy stuff anymore since most people trade on the Facebook Marketplace

For me I just try to think of things that people would type in to get to my product. I'm not trying to get to the first page, all I need is one person to say they'll buy my item.

Thanks for this video. A question though - I've only posted a few items before and only used pictures. Today I posted an item with a few pictures and a video. I put them on with the video last. The first picture does show when you're searching through listings, but when you click on the listing, it shows the video first, then the next one in line is the first picture. Do you know how I can get the video to the end when you're actually at the ad itself? Thanks!

Hello! Thanks for the 💜 I don't know the max amount of listing you can do per day, but I wouldn't list more than 5 per day... You don't want facebook thinking you are spamming with your listings. I’m not getting the “next” prompt. I’ve filled in all the spaces in the first page and see there’s more, but no “next”! Only “save as draft”. I’m on an ipad, working from the website, not the app. Help please!
Hello. When you create a listing, your listing sections include Description, Availability, Brand, Product Tags, then SKU. When I create a listing, I go from Description directly to SKU. I do not have the ability to do Product Tags. Do I need to pay to upgrade my Marketplace listing tool?

So who does the marketplace only button sell. Does it go to people that search for the type or category? I feel Like the more places the better. But maybe I'm wrong?
Personally I don't like posting in groups, the crowd is a little different. The marketplace sells to anyone on facebook who clicks on marketplace and is looking around. It's a huge number of people.

You won't be able to list amounts with decimals. It's has to be whole numbers

How did you get FB marketplace to accept a video? Ive tried from Tablet and desktop FB, doesnt show an option to upload a video

I would try on a different device like your cellphone or desktop. If it's not working, try something different.
Dumb question, (I’ve never done this,) but how do you follow up on the actual inquires to purchase? How do you get them...how do you respond, etc.
You’ll get messages on Facebook messenger. That’s how you communicate with the potential buyer
What if u have 30 thousand items?
Unfortunately, there's no bulk uploader so you'd have to list them one by one. I would start by listing only your best sellers.

Never used FB marketplace. So do all your friends easily see your listings? I wouldn't want them in my biz. 🤔🤔
There's an option you can turn on so your friends don't see your listings.

Currently there's no video feature to add into your listings. You would have to manually send a video to the person who is interested on messenger.
