      Hello Nick,
Have you ever visited El Paso? (Stayed in for at least 72 hours, actually experienced the city and the communities for yourself.)
I invite you to visit El Paso and experience it for yourself, and you will see how flawed your El Paso segment is.

Gotta add the "after dark" caveat to SE Houston. Plenty of historic sites and action in daylight, but at night things are different. I used to work at UH and lived on the west end of Third Ward. Would bike to work as long as I could get back in daylight. Many nights are OK, but there are nights. There are very much nights. I've seen things.

I should have been alerted when I saw that you indicated El Paso being in northeast Texas. Also, statistically, El Paso is one of the safest cities in America, do your homework. Lastly, as a black man, the people in El Paso are far more friendly, accepting and warm compared to MANY east Texas cities.

I've lived in Texas my whole life. I've moved 26 times mainly because my parents were drug addicts and I've been on my own since I was 17. I can honestly say the worst city in Texas is where i was born, Galena Park. I don't know how you missed that one. Surrounded by chemical refineries, the high school drop out rate is over 50% and the only reason it's not higher is because the junior high drop out rate is over 15%. high crime, strippers are considered good jobs because the pay is higher than average. With the exception of Port Author, Galena Park makes every other city on your list look like Disney World.
Wichita Falls is really bad also.

Couldn’t stand the over population massive traffic jams and extreme heat and flooding any longer not to mention the crime. There were many good points like a gazillion restaurants and places to shop and lots of jobs and home prices but as I got older I just had to get out of the rat race of the traffic and over population. Perspective is everything when it comes to where you live.I'm from Dublin Ireland and grew up in Ballyfermot ,a concrete ghetto back in the day,it was a lawless, deadly dangerous place where the weak got kicked around daily, and the gangs and bully's ruled. It's a different place these days, it has evolved and morphed into a desireable place to live. All of Texas is beautiful in my eyes.I'm living in Baytown 16 years and close to the water, palm trees, lovley weather, nice people, never had an ounce of trouble from anyone. This is coming from a girl who's from Texas, and who family lives in Texas and actually knows the area. My parents grew up in the same houses and smae looking property, but they are so sweet and kind. So don't put your judgment out because you don't know the real Texas. Plus all these towns are small. They all have a history. Also it's rude that you think because houses are small that you think people there are alcoholics and trouble. Half these towns are great. El Paso is a rude city? When people are in cars, they are rude. However, when you talk to them, they are some of the nicest, most gracious people I have ever met. The comment, "Do they still speak English in El Paso?," is insanely obtuse. Some people Spanish, but most have a working knowledge of both languages. Dangerous? No, it's one of the safest large cities in the USA.
I'm an El Paso transplant of one year from a large city in the Midwest. I'm also white and speak basic Spanish so can get around in Spanish-only locations (eg, El Segundo Barrio). The only complaints that I have heard from other transplants are the bad drivers, the low humidity levels, and the lack of a body of water (the Rio Grande doesn't count).

I was raised in Port Arthur, living there from birth in 1954 to graduation from high school in 1972. It was a wonderful place to grow up, with peaceful streets and fantastic schools. Yes, it was primarily blue collar, but it was an exceptional small town ... population around 66,000. Now, the buildings are boarded up, the streets, formerly asphalt, are now dirt/oyster shell in many places. The city started falling apart in 1972 and crashed with spectacular speed. The simple reason ... activist courts.

I lived there about 50 years ago. The population has just about doubled since then. El Paso is a mostly great place, with a stronger sense of community than so many U.S. cities. Yes, it has its problems, but what place doesn't? And yes, you'll sometimes run into rude people. But most people are friendly. Latinos and non-Latinos usually get along well, in spite of our government/media's "divide-and-conquer tactics". And yes, I'm contemplating moving back there to enjoy the people, rich culture, and desert beauty.

I would say it depends on what part of Killeen but no it is not as bad as he painted it in this video. As a matter of fact it made the list of most desirable places to live for Millenials due to cost of living which as you pointed at is rather reasonable. UNFORTUNATELY, you can’t state the 2 GLARING political reasons for these tragedies:
    1) Closing down the oil business which EVERYTHING we have is dependent upon.
    2) Opening the border MILLIONS & MILLIONS who keep coming every year.
BTW, Wilmer & Hutchins were wrecked basically overnight due to busing in the ‘70’s. Never to recover.
