Silent Hill: Downpour is a new Silent Hill video game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, developed by Vatra Games and published by Konami. Downpour marks the eighth installment (Silent Hill 8) in the series, and is the third seventh generation Silent Hill game.
The protagonist of the game is a convict, Murphy Pendleton. Downpour begins with Murphy sitting inside a prisoner transport bus that is traveling along Interstate 95 on a rainy night. However, things go awry as the bus steers out of control and sails off the side of the road, entering the nearby woods. Murphy, after looking at the remains of the bus, enters the forest as an attempt to escape. Along the way, he encounters Anne Cunningham, a corrections officer attempting to track the remaining prisoners down.

What is the deal with this cop???? Seriously what has he done that was so bad that You have to follow him around? Also, at the Devil's pit she tried but couldn't and told him to get away from her, then she's back to following him. And one more How was she able to sneak on the boat???
To be fair how would you guess that the safe number would be on his back? From what I know its pretty normal for prisoners to have numbers on their clothing like that. Its actually a good place to hide it since you wouldnt normally think that it was anything more than a prisoner number. Hiding in plain sight.
Where was she even hiding? Also some of those extra characters who have been stuck in Silent Hill for awhile how do they even survive? Or is everyone else just ghosts really. Since they are stuck there for other reasons do they encounter their own version of Silent Hill or Brad's version?
Murphy WANTED to kill Napier because that's the guy that killed his kid (the fat) blonde guy at the beginning. Sewall (the guard) set it up so that Murphy could do it and now Murphy owes him a "favor".

the sidequests have no affiliation with the main story at all. they're mainly just filler in case you want to explore the town. all they do is offer background info

I'd like to see this game replayed so that every single street is strolled along and every building possible looked into. This game wasn't really a "Silent Hill" game as the nutty, convoluted religious cult wasn't a prominent plotline and the real world/nightmare world examples weren't a true feature...but I enjoyed it all the same. Great visuals and atmosphere, relatable concepts...Thanks, Brad.
Sewell looks like a cross between Kevin Bacon and Cristian Slater. Even sounds a little like Slater.
So I'm guessing that fat guy at the start of the game molested or did something to his son, still not quite sure how the main guy got into prison but maybe he got blamed for his son's death or something. Still not sure what that cop's got against him either but seems personal. So glad to finally see some more of the story.

you should do original 2 and 3 if you can
because the HD collection takes a lot of the atmosphere out of those games, the lighting is redone and the mist is partially gone or completely gone in certain sections
it's up to you ofcourse if that is a serious issue, but just a heads up about that
Brad had a total Rainman moment. Usually he misses the most obvious stuff, but then had the nerve to drop a philosophical plot analysis bomb about the cop also being crazy....and I'm pretty sure he was right about it too. F U Brain!

Brad your videos are the best and I enjoy your written sayings. (you know what I mean) but they flash up there so fast that they are a little hard to read if you left them up for another second it would be really nice.
Don't bother with that last side quest Brad, it'll take you a long time to figure out and there isn't a special item or weapon if you finish it, other than the 5G achievement award. if you want to you can, but finish the game first please.
Brad, I think the code for the dials is on Murphy's back, OP11-752.... the line up picture of several guys had similar codes. There are 5 dials take off the OP and there are 5 #'s 11-752 which are all on the dails... gog!

hahaha everytime i saw murphy confront the female police i think its funny shit!! During the journey in sh murphy encounter lots of crazy creatures and stuff but he couldn't pin down a white chick LOL...
Haha yeah when Brad said he wondered what Murphey's prisoner number was I thought to myself, "Well isn't it right there on his back?" Although it took me a bit to notice because it was so dark.

The wheelchair guy is supposed to be a manifestation of the good cop from the beginning. Not going to give anything away for anyone, but it's supposed to represent Murphy's guilt.

i bet the combo safe's code is 11752. my theroy is his name thing is blacked out but he has it written on his back. and in there is a key to unlock the shotgun

the tomahawk works better if you use it as a throwing weapon, just be carefull not to throw it in a place you won't be able to retrieve it like i did!! :(

This game looks so hastily made. There are like 5 character models throughout the whole game ffs -_-
