Nara on a Budget: Free Attractions and Tasty Local Specialties! | Nara, Japan

It always feels good to travel and spend little to no money, and Nara is a unique little city that allows you to do just that! With so much history but plenty to do, this city just a couple hours south of Kyoto was once the capital of Japan so is home to a number of heritage sites and things to see and do. We visit two of the Seven Great Temples of Nara, a free lookout spot, a traditional Japanese home, and eat some local fare including the famous green mochi.
