I went here all the time as a kid. Seeing it again is so nostalgic. The little things like the garden benches on the way to the water park and the carousel bring back so many memories. This place always gave me a feeling like I was stepping back in time.
I haven’t been here for about 10 years, I plan on going in 2 weeks with a friend I met in the Navy. The park has changed alot since i’ve been there, everything is updated and painted. The sky ride is gone and I remember enjoying it as a kid, it was like a ski lift. This park is worth coming to for anyone visiting CT, it’s a landmark to our state!
This park should add more steel coasters. I understand it's a small park, but they could get an S&S Looping Coaster, a Mine Coaster, and a Chance-Morgan Hyper Coaster no matter what size it's supposed to be for example.
Well, with the ongoing problems with S&S and steel curtain, I don’t think they’ll be buying from them, but I agree a family coaster would fit to park really well. I really really feel like this part has more potential, but investment has been holding it back for years.
@@TheCoasterSpot Yeah, I've already heard that things aren't going well for Steel Curtains. I'm afraid if they can't pull things through like what they're expecting, they'll have to start over on Steel Curtains, a new layout, with new trains, built by a different coaster manufacturer. Vekoma could help turn it around, heck they're getting the passion of building custom looping coasters. If it succeeds, there could be a good chance they could add a custom looping coaster at Lake Compounce.
@@TheCoasterSpot You're not gonna like my ideas about how they should expand the park. They should move the Water Park across the lake, then remove their other 2 coasters, their Premiere Rides Sky Rocket and Vekoma Boomerang to make room for 2 more coasters and thrill rides. I do like their Sky Rocket Phobia but in a small park they should replace it with a Swing Launch Coaster by the same manufacturer Premiere Rides with a 80 ft Top Hat and a vertical spike. For the next coaster they should add a steel looping terrain coaster with other inversions probably on a side of a mountain like Boulder Dash. Lake Compounce would become New England's own Alton Towers because Alton Towers is a small park but it has a great collection of coasters. These investors should visit Alton to get ideas for This park.
I am going later today at 10:00 Am and I dared myself to go on the phobia with one of my friends, I am so not ready but I am the dare devil of the group so there is no backing out now😖
Lake Compounce is like a poor man's Disneyland, just like a Timex watch is a poor man's Rolex. Not first rate, but solid and okay nonetheless. It meets those amusement park expectations, but it does not really exceed them. No, tropical noonday sun almost directly overhead or no exotic palm trees here. It is in the very northern U.S.A. in the mainland Arctic state of Connecticut, so it is what it is. There's nothing tropical or exotic in flora or fauna here. Being a bit sarcastic, but I hope it makes some sense. 😂😂
What is going on with the ride removal at Lake Compounce? Okay, so I had last visited the park in 2001 and now that I have kids of my own, I wanted to return to the park. However, it has come to my attention that the park has removed many of it's significant rides. I know when I visited, that the Enterprise was on it's way out, but now I find out that all these rides are gone: Top Spin, Trolley, Chairlift Ride, Rotor, Musik Express, and Bumper Cars. Whaaa? I mean what gives with that? So many classic park classics are gone. Then the last two are park staples. Just about EVERY park has bumper cars and a Musik Express (or a hymalaya derivative of sorts, such as a Thunderbolt). The latter two my sons always go on and I just feel that a trip out will not be complete without those rides. Granted, I know most go for Boulderdash, but one of my boys really isn't keen on roller coasters and it might take him a bit to get him on there, but still, it does have me asking why did the park remove so many key attractions. I mean the Rotor was a classic that should have been preserved. Why get rid of that?
have a drink with mrs. lake compounce T have the "old man talk" with mr. lake compounce T make mrs. lake compounce laugh R tell mrs. lake compounce the time A heezie crasses. season passes

Sane
I went there in 2021. It may be a small park but also a very underrated park as well. Don't let age or size fool you.
This place felt huge to me but I was like 12 at the time lol
Oldest in america, I live about 10 minutes away. Fun but food is overpriced.
@ANGELDUSTISMYNAME Not even close. I was twenty-five when I was there.

NO STOP IM IN THE BACKGROUND 💀
That's actually crazy
Where?!😭
I wanna know where
I went last year with an 50 year old and she was terrified to go on the rides but the staff helped her not be so scared 10/10 would recommend
I’ve been going to Lake Compounce since 2004. It’s really fun. Taking my 20 year old son either this year or next.
Thanks for this wonderful tour & review!
thank you for this tour. I am going in a couple days and i wanted to know what it is about
I'm so sad they got rid of the sky lift
You're right I remember the Sky lifts😢
why did u not talk about the old ski lift at 6:33
Are the lines crazy? Looks like it is worth it if the lines are reasonable
Can't wait!
I raced a hydroplane there in the mid 90s, it was a tiny course, but awesome to race there, we'd ride the roller coaster between heats
Everybody likes this. This is a fun one.
So phobia is the same as Tigris in Busch gardens
Yes
Better restrains on phobia though, so you get better air time.
Going tomorrow for a school trip
Have fun, hope this helped
I WENT THERE TODAY ITS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!
Im coming there on friday
I'm going there tomorrow

A month later, did ya have fun? 😊
So much fun I went on the phobia like 10 times that is why I try new things!@@RandomlyBeautiful13

Connecticut has beautiful places to go to. It’s an underrated and overlooked state.
As seeing my 6year old brother do binge jumping so I went on phobia as a 9 year old 14:31
The Disco rides usually have a back restraint that burps you like a baby when the ride begins, correct? 😂
Never heard it described like that but yes! Lol

I always go there
I love that record the prices to compare in a decade.
Inflation happens all the time
???
Food is absolutely horrible and super expensive
They need to make batter food and reduce the prices
Or you look for a better job?😂
Wildcat is HORRIBLE
It’s painful
It’s about the nostalgia of it. I agree they need to refurbish the ride but that would cost them too much. So it’s either they scrap it or leave it
Very bumpy. My neck hurts! Took me 3 days to feel better! Good thing that was my last ride for the day.
It's a little rough, not horrible. They're doing an improvement project now to help. You don't have to hate so much.
Their putting titan track
