I went to kings island before and I want to go back I miss all the memories from over there and I went in 2022 and 2023 and I think I went when I was a baby but I want to go in 2024 I hope I do bye guys!
Thanks! I filmed an updated video last weekend. Probably won’t get it edited until the early spring next year in time for opening day, but I love the new additions and am excited to share them in a new tour.
Thank you so much for this video! I went to Kings Island as a kid in the '80s and early '90s before we moved out of state. Haven't been back to the park in almost 30 years, and this is making me want to revisit. It's wild that some of the rides I rode as a kid are still there and I still recognize parts of the layout. (I think that kiddie car ride was Mr. Jink's Jalopies and also wow I'm old.)
i visited both and I think in specific areas, I would even say Kings Island is the better park. CP is still amazing and should be on everyone's list for a visit though
Thank you for acknowledging the exceptional night ride on Adventure Express. Aside from the Beast and maybe Diamondback, it is the best! Great little ride. If you get lucky enough for very short lines, marathon the thing. It's lovely!
Well made video. Very through with accurate historical facts. TY. In the summer, my wife and I would hide out in a little nook behind Graeter's (grate-ers; you kinda nailed it). Late in the season and during Halloween Haunt, the, hands down best place to hang out is outside Brewhouse, just past the bar. They have some nice firepits (propane) and because it's behind the Brewhouse off the path, it's a good place to get away from the crowd and noise. Kings Island was my "home park" (even though it's just as close as Cedar Point). I grew up going about once a year as a poor kid. Had a family and ended up spoiling them here with season passes and fast lane passes every time. Haven't been back since my oldest Daughter died of cancer, she loved this place, and I'll probably never go back....so thanks for the walk around.
The Bat's station is so far back because the old Wild Animal Safari was in the location of Son of Beast and ran back along Racer where Flight of Fear and Orion is.
Great video! I really loved your tour of Kings Island. I live near Cedar Point, so that is my go to park. The last time I was at Kings Island was 1979, the year The Beast opened. I was so excited to ride it and I still have my baseball hat and button that says, "I Rode It, The Beast". I am thinking about visiting Kings Island again and The Beast will be the first ride I go on. Do you mind my asking what day of the year you were there filming? I have anxiety/panic attacks with very large crowds. I noticed the park wasn't too crowed when you were there and many of the rides had empty seats. I would love to go on a day like this. Thanks!!
How are you counting 16 roller coasters? Great Pumpkin Coaster Woodstock Express Flying Ace Aerial Chase Mystic Timbers Diamondback Beast Backlot Orion Flight of Fear Racer Adventure Express Banshee Bat Invertigo
I live in Ohio - closer to Cedar Point than King's Island - but as a child, as far back as I can remember, we went to CP every year and KI at least every other year. Most of my family and I like KI better. I LOVE KI! CP is all concrete with very little shade whereas KI has lots of trees and beautiful meadows, gardens. CP's theming isn't nearly as good as KI (not rides but their main streets & other areas). Idk there's just something about KI. And i love that they don't charge you separately for the water park like CP does so you go cool down. As for the food, everything you showed is good, but I have to get Mama La Rosa's pizza. I love walking by it on International Street and get blasted by their AC and get overwhelmed by the mouth-watering smell of their pizza. My stomach's growling. Great video!
I visited both Cedar Point and Kings Island for the first time in my life this past week. Cedar Point gets a lot of the hoopla because admittedly it has some of the best roller coasters and even flat rides...but I was so impressed with Kings Island. I came into the trip knowing very little about it and I was blown away. Diamondback and Banshee are awesome rides...and something about it just felt so much more aesthetically appealing and MUCH MUCH easier to navigate than Cedar Point don't get me wrong, i had a great time at CP too...but Kings Island definitely deserves as much love, dare I say MORE love than its Ohio brother lol also this was probably because i visited Kings on a regular weekday whereas CP was on the weekend...but i just felt like the ops were so much smoother at KI
I know how you feel. When I visited both parks for the first time in 2015, I also preferred Kings Island more than Cedar Point, but part of me wonders if that had something to do with me vomiting on Gemini. When I returned to Cedar Point two years later, I had a much better visit, especially since I decided to also visit Cedar Point Shores as well. I haven't been back since Steel Vengeance opened, but I still prefer that park over Kings Island even after I returned to Kings Island just last month. But it's still a very close call, though. I can easily understand why some people prefer Kings Island over Cedar Point as they both have so much to love.
Kings Island has a certain charm that cedar point doesn't have. Cedar Point has record breaking rides and all that. But Kings Island has better operations and better vibes
@@kellykredel2531for sure, kings island actually got me to like roller coasters. I went to Michigans adventure and was in the waterpark for a while and just wanted to go back to the roller coasters even though I don’t like them. Than I went to kings island and all the rides were 2x as big as the ones at M.A. I first rode the beast which was AMAZING. Didn’t go on the 2 tallest ones though. Want to go on diamond back the next time I go.
love this park. even though I know it well I still like watching a good walkthrough vid. trying to find a good canada's wonderland walkthrough vid first visit next month
Never noticed the traditional layout Vekoma hang n bangs had such similar layouts to their standard juniors. And it’s been 10+ years since I’ve ridden Invertigo. You said the end of the train that goes up the spike first is smoother correct? I’ll have to keep that it mind. Interesting bc that would traditionally be thought of as the back of the train.
Yep the part that goes up the spike a smoother he was at Dorney and it seems to be the same here at kings island! That’s why I find it so funny about the vekoma Junior coaster because Legoland Florida (well Cypress Gardens with the previous ownership) essentially built two rides with the same layout one inverted one standard
If you get a disability sheet like I do because I broke my femer playing football and my right leg is 3 and a half inches shorter which is very painful doing the park all day and you have a bag they will hold your bag at the exit or put it in the drive box for you

Loves kings island, thank you for the awesome video

I have never been but Iam going soon I can’t wait to ride the wooden rollercoast and can’t wait to see the whole park .😍🍀
This is my second favorite Cedar Fair park behind Cedar Point. I can't wait to go back there this summer.

I was here twice already. I hope I can go back one day.
Good video

I used to work there after high school in the late eighties doing airbrush…best time ever

Do you like King's Island more than Canada's Wonderland?
Yes and I didn’t even need to think about it
