I run my dishwasher every night. It’s on a timer to run at bedtime. The first step in my morning routine is to empty it. This sets you up to process dirty dishes as they are used all day AND you have clean tools needed to cook. Keeping a clean kitchen has always been a source of stress for me. Identifying this choke point and fixing it changed everything. I also notice that my family follows my lead. If I set a dish on the counter, they put dishes on the counter. If I put it in the dishwasher, they put it in the dishwasher. I hope everyone finds what works in their home. I can say for certain this suggestion works for me all day, everyday.
Just found your channel - do you have advice or a video for cleaning years of kitchen grease off walls and cupboards? and the stove hood of course! thanks
We like using Dawn Powerwash to wash the grease off painted areas and cupboards. We typically fill up the sink or a bucket with soapy water. We also use a non scratching sponge to help with the harder area. If there is a lot of buildup, you can get a putty knife and put a rag over it, and use it to scrape off the build-up.
@@CleaningtheECway Thanks! the rag on the putty knife is brilliant, because I was thinking of using one to scrape the grease, but worried I would scratch the surfaces
Thanks for the advice. We all need cleaning to be easier.
