- On my 3rd annual visit to the Fall Festival at Krull-Smith Orchids, I acquired a large haul of diverse goodies from orchids, plants, art and memories. I also visited Ecuagenera USA, which is one of the largest aroid and orchid nursery empire in Ecuador. They are also based in Apopka just minutes from Krull-Smith Orchids. It’s an orchid collectors paradise. What a beautiful haul and I love the clay wall planter!!! I have the LC Puppy Love, too. Mine is labeled Lc. Puppy Love 'True Beauty' HCC/AOS. I bought mine at a show in Ohio from Windy Hill Gardens (a Missouri vendor) last year. The flowers were gorgeous.

I'm learning that antelopes love environments like you have in florida. They are also known to grow gigantic after awhile. Look up a video of them in adian nurseries. Theirs a video where there in very large baskets.
They grow really tall. I May begin acclimating mine in the Quiktent to the sun.

For what it's worth I like Hope's Dream better than Esperanza. Thanks for sharing all the shows & hauls. I'm planning to visit Florida soon & I'm totally looking forward to going to some orchid shows 👍🏻👍🏻. We just had a small orchid sale here at the Desert Valley Orchid Society in Phoenix. It pales in comparison but the people are really nice! My haul was just one mini-cattleya with 2 tiny spikes. Can't wait to see her blooms!!
Believe it or not the budget I have for orchids is all due to my channel. I save every Penny I make on the channel and use it for trips and for specialty orchid events like the Krull Smith event. That’s the only way I’m able to do it. I’m not really buying like before. Now I’m only purchasing at large venues. This way Incan save money for the purchases. So thanks to my viewers I’m able to bring back home some great beauties. But I must admit, I went a little overboard with this last haul. There won’t be another haul like this in a very long time. 💚

Those dendrobiums are beautiful 🎉🎉🎉I have a yellow,/brown with purple lip it's those antler types. But I've never seem the purple here
Lately I’ve been seeing allot of antler/antílope Dendrobiums. It’s the new craze in orchids. Every show I’ve gone to in the past 6 months has had abundance in Dendrobiums

I have one caution the paphio that I bought last year in Tamiami from some Germans and it hasn't died but I want it nice. I have it in lava rock, carbon and a little bit of mush. If you can make a video explaining some care and sustrato 😻love old the new babies

I know what you mean. There are some orchids that I love that are not available here due to our climate. Like the Vampire orchid (monkey face).
Hopes Dream is the name that I think if you get a chance to name it. How come Blancha and Laz never show up in your videos any longer? I think one of your hoyas or that Huperzia Nummulariifolia of yours would look awesome in it.
I love Hope’s Dream as well. Laz is not doing the orchid thing anymore like before, and I have not heard or seen Blanca in a long time. They both kind of stopped doing videos with me. But my channel was built to be diverse and always changing and improving towards new and exciting things. Now I have Teresita and I’m super happy. 🤗

Thank you! Glad I gave you some laughs. It was a challenging day, but I pushed through it. Jaxon is so big. He is extremely spoiled and is a lap cat. He is a terrible to the big cats. Always attack play. Never gets tired. And Morris has been garden hopping allot. My neighbors next door built a large nursery so he likes to roam around there.

Oh wow, what a haul! The 'antler' dendrobiums are all amazing! The Cycnodes Warscewiczii is on my wanted list. Wanted it ever since I first saw it on Blanca's channel, like 3 years ago or longer maybe. It was finally in stock at the nurseries here a while ago but I have two more months before my dog's almost 4k vet bill is finally payed off, so I hope it will be back in stock next year. Btw, the name is Polish. Warscewicz was a Polish orchid collector in the 1800's. The 'wine delight' is a perfect match to your shirt, btw. Love the color - on both, lol. The sconce looks beautiful.

Any Vanda will do well in a basket. But I suggest you find a Vanda that is short rooted. There are many Vandas that the roots are way too much for a basket. Compact Vandas do best.

hi Nelson. That yellow paph is stunning. I don't like how expensive yellow paphs are otherwise I'd have one too by now, I'm hoping they will get cheaper someday but seeing how big the flower is on yours, that is huge. I can see why that stands out for that reason alone. I would call that pink cattleya Hope Star so Hope's Dream from me.

I totally agree. Paphiopedilums keep going up and up in price. It’s probably one of the most expensive at the shows. And they are pretty tough to grow sometimes. But they are very beautiful. Here is food for thought. Paphiopedilums are not technically an orchid. They are different in their anatomy of flower. There are arguments on that topic.

I have a few Den. discolors & a couple of dens. mixed with discolor. They grow naturally here in Queensland. They can get very large! Hopefully yours won’t be too big.
I’m planning to acclimate them to the sun as they get too big.

I like Esperanza too. The cattleyas you are referring to is called Happy Happy. Simple name to remember. That’s an original Krull Smith hybrid. It’s one of the newer ones. It’s a great flower.
Wow , everything is so beautiful. I hope you are working on your new display area. I like hope dream❤ beautiful flower.😊. if you don’t mind, can you explain to me what happens next? Do you repot the 0rchids soon you get home with them do you wait? What do you do with those extra roots sticking out, many times I take the plant out and she is all one big bowl of roots. What do you do? it’s impossible to separate them.😳
I acclimate everything first. Sometimes if the plant is not stable, I immediately put them in a pot. Little by little I start mounting, potting, and planting. I don’t pull any pots that are wrapped in roots. I just put them in a bigger pot with the other pot inside.

I have a confession. Due to my work schedule I am doing my Thanksgiving Cooking today. And I did all my shopping this morning for the cooking commencing today. When making cranberry sauce which calls for a cinnamon stick. Well thinking I some at home But come to find out....nope ... no cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon... which makes no sense. I know I have cinnamon. Sure enough there on
