8:45 such a shocking moment for me. Thought she’d last longer in the season. 10:23 didn’t expect both of the to be taken out same episode I enjoyed this episode. I agree with your comments on giving the master more screen time to build him up prior to this episode. Also, I was slightly disappointed it was Qimir that was the master because it seemed too obvious but I thought he did a good job of being formidable anyway. I wonder if he was there at the ascension. I remember a cloaked figure there that wasn’t doing the witchy movements and chants so I wonder if he witnessed or even created the chaos that must have happened between the witches and Jedi. Enjoyed your reaction as usual.
Qmir did Cal Kestis move of unlocking the hilts in combat to double wield lightsabers. Loved this episode. ♥ Amazing fighting, the sheer brutality of it. Plus all the lore things with cortosis alloy and Trakata lightsaber style to unbalance the oponents.
I think Vader broke that one person’s neck in Kenobi and then we have with Yord now. Feeling a little better about the show after this episode, we’ll see how they stick the landing 😬

That changed when she realised that her Master was there, and Jecki could not protect her. Mae realised that he would hunt them down, so she ran, until confronted by Osha. The switcheroo gave Mae the opportunity to flee with Sol, who might be powerful enough to protect her, and who would take her to the Jedi Temple. Everything Mae did came from self-preservation.
Because her master is there and she knows the Jedi aren’t gonna be able to defeat him. So her choices are either to run away or try and atone to her master
She wanted to surrender to the Jedi so she could have Osha. When Qimir said "He will kill you" she said "He would have to find me first". Well, not only he's right there, but he is killing every single Jedi. What would be the point of surrendering to the Jedi now? They would all die and then Qimir would just kill her anyway. Her plan changed to run the hell away. And then she saw Sol with Osha and got mad.
"We are going to get the fight in this episode." Hilarious! this episode was the fight! Also anyone got any info on the choreographers? I got more or a bastard sword or saber feel from the styles used, rather than the asian influences from Ray. don't get me wrong. IT WAS BAD ASS. Hell, I didn't know you could suck a Jedi into a light saber that was already through another Jedi.
This episode was HUGE! Felt like a whole movie but it was only 30 minutes or so run time.. I need some crazy reveal since most of the conflict so far seems to get fulfilled nearly right away. Hoping Qimer ends up being Plagueis or Tenebrous.. or someone connected to either of them
i hope he isn't Plagueis or Tenebrous, i hope he his an aprentice for one of them. if it's for Tenebrous he should be his first aprentice and he actually was a Sith Lord (not master) so him looking for an acolyte would be a good story so that he could overthrow his master as any Sith should. If he his a Plagueis aprentice, he should be an acolyte, since plagueis should still be a Sith Lord and not a Master yet.
Episode 5 is Lesley Headland’s favorite if you guys didn’t know that. For me she truly is the Director we are looking for to make more content from the High Republic.
last episode osha is lagging behing. Shouts sol. All the jedis run back to see the flying creature get killed by the lightsaber. Jord says. It went straight for the lightsaber. Sol replies. They are attracted to light. Same again last episode mae says it don’t matter anymore. That she is going to had herself in to the Jedi and inform them of what we know. Now this episode. Jord forgot about the flying things attracted to light. And mae forgot she was going to hand her self in
- Mae turned good last episode and immediately turned bad again - Mundi knows the Sith are back but says nothing - Sith should be extinct but Smilo Ran calls himself a Sith - Smilo Ren is so powerful but has remained hidden all this time? - Smilo Ran can float about the place but no one else? - Padawan was better at fighting a 'Sith' than a Jedi master - Mae keeps saying she loves Osha but then tries to kill her all the time - They let the moths take the Sith and just leave without checking he's dead? - Where was Sol at the start of the fight? He just lets everyone get killed - Lightsabers can just be turned off all the time? - Not sure why Jedi can sense the two girls on the witches planet but no one at all could sense Smilo Ran? - Where is Tenebrae etc?
Great episode no doubt. But I'm not sure if one out of 5 is enough to make me enjoy this series. The same goes for obi wan and boba, a couple great moments doesn't make the show good. But I am always happy for decent saber battles and these were some of the best we've had
None of this would've MEANT anything if we didn't have the build up of the previous episodes. And we did start with action, Mae vs Indara was literally the first scene. I dunno, I've been very engaged the whole time, my only issue with the show was how short episode 4 was.
Ok. I have an interesting argument here. I have a feeling that Sol got a little giggity with the witches. This sounds like the official bad batch Jedi high order class, and they fostered a demon baby. So much cover up in the high republic is getting a little wild and I think Mae ends up being the Obi Wan of the series. Role reversal y’all. Let’s have fun
I wasn't entirely convinced, but thought it was in the realm of possibility that they would pull a Breaking Bad and jump to another storyline instead of actually going through with the fight.
SW fans: Reva was completely superfluous, focus on the main story! SW: Gives us only hints and small scenes with Jecki and Yord to at least give us something for their background SW fans: You never developed them enough for us to care! SW: ... 🤔🤨
I love how, in any era, the Sith reasoning seems to always be, "The Jedi are awful b/c they don't let me murder with impunity, sow chaos and run amok throughout the galaxy. How dare they!"
I did like the fights here but i also saw some issues; those moments where you see a lot of openings especially if you're like me and like to examine them closely especially in starwars. There were a few openings where our Sith here could have been killed/taken advantage by the Jedi.
@LatetotheParty on episode 3 there’s a theory during the cemetery behind the witch mothers there’s a cloaked mysterious sith figure not showing his face and not one of the witch’s could be pleagus or his master or smilo ren
Yes, unless someone survives and writers make Jedi Council bury the truth to give them more villain aspect... but it still wouldn't make sense, since Yoda was already in council at this point... but heck, Disney has always taken cannon more as suggestion or approximate guide line rather than actual rules to follow.
Hey guys. So, was Mae pretending this whole time when she said she wanted to give herself up to the Jedi? What a big reveal, no one saw that coming 😆. Tell me Sol already knows that’s Mae.

The only Sith master active at this time was Darth Tenebrous, Plagueis' master, given that Qimir identified himself as Sith but not as a Darth, he's probably a novice seeking to overthrow Tenebrous early.
@@dontreadmyprofilepicture8817 he is a knight of ren because they use ost when he talk to osha in the end of the episode

Great and Awesome reaction you guys keep it up and May the force be with you 👍🏾
Jecki should have had lightsaber adamantium claws come out of her knuckles.
It's Jecki, bro.
@@MontgomeryWenis thanks for the correction.
The twins have switched places omg
5:56 mae winked 😂
This episode was amazing. Been taking heat for liking the show finally something amazing to add it to the legacy. I really think the show is going to make us dislike sol by the end. great reaction video.
Wow! I've already rewatched parts of the fight sequences!
"The Sith send their regardsds..."
lol everyone knew it was the drug maker from when he disappeared
There's no other reason for "the master" to be on this planet and kill Kelnacca unless he knew Mae was going to betray him and flee which he would only know if he was Qimir lol.
Jecki!!! 😭😭😭
That was goddamn BRUTAL
she went beast mode and did better than those jedi masters and knights.
@@cjrebirth She did her best.
Guess that toy figurine wont sell very well.
@@DBZeni I think the only master there was Sol and the diseased Wookie ( Kernaka?) the other ones where all Knights i think.
8:45 such a shocking moment for me. Thought she’d last longer in the season.
10:23 didn’t expect both of the to be taken out same episode
I enjoyed this episode.
This show really said “All your friends are dead”
Wow. Who would've guessed the Sith was exactly who everyone thought it was😂
I never considered his identity to be the actual mystery of the show. It's what really happened on Brendok and who is Qymir's master.
So? There was clear hints to who it was.
still a bad ass reveal. obvious, but bad ass nonetheless
Except for the people in the show 😂
@@shortstuff780Agreed
Im positive qimir is the sith lords apprentice
Given the timeframe and his Force powers, we can even make a reasonably firm guess on who his master is.
This is Tip Top star wars, one of the best lightsabre fight scenes in star war history AWESOME
Qmir did Cal Kestis move of unlocking the hilts in combat to double wield lightsabers.
Loved this episode. ♥
Amazing fighting, the sheer brutality of it. Plus all the lore things with cortosis alloy and Trakata lightsaber style to unbalance the oponents.
Thanks, Vanessa! Thanks, Robert! 🌑 It's great to see the energy absorption metal *cortosis* brought into live-action.
Say what you will about the show, but I don't think anyone can deny these were some of the best lightsaber fights I've seen in a while.
Very true, great action in this episode and several character deaths I did not expect.
The light saber battles in this episode reminded me of the prequels saber fights feckin glorious!!!! Jecki deserved better though!!
DEVASTATED by the episode. But it was very good!
I think Vader broke that one person’s neck in Kenobi and then we have with Yord now. Feeling a little better about the show after this episode, we’ll see how they stick the landing 😬
Man, the payoff for defending this show week after week against the constant bad faith and grifters and occasional bigots was more than worth it this week. Perhaps the most untethered, savage action we’ve ever seen in Star Wars. Another installment that wasn’t perfect but was really, REALLY good. Loving this show, loving y’all’s reactions. Thank you!
top 5 light saber duel... welll there were a lot of duels in this one.... but love how they fought with philosophy and sith mind fuckery. Ashoka did it better but this was epic nonetheless
@@EricDKaufman for me, it was the whole package of violence in this. Mental, saber, martial, all of it. I think we’ve had better pure saber duels (I mean, duel of the fates exists. Anakin vs. Obi Wan exists) before, but the unbridled savagery of the overall action in this ep was absolutely incendiary, I thought
The show still sucks and retcons like crazy. Someone with an actual brain and logic can see that.
The first good episode of the series, hopefully going forward it's a good as this episode.
unfortunately they still hate it. while i have been enjoying it so far, i have had some criticism as well. its been okay. but this episode was incredible. loved every minute. sad we only have 3 episodes left
I thought Mae was surrendering to the Jedi. So why did she fight Jecki? Boy Mae is psychotic lol.
But why would she disguise herself as Osha.
Just surrender to Sol and ask for his protection.
@@B3J2AL she doesn't trust Sol because of whatever happened 16 years ago. She thinks he's brainwashed her sister.
Vader snapped at least one neck in Kenobi, just with the Force.
This episode was wild. Despite Mae’s bipolar issues, I enjoy the series.
@JayL- And Osha still chose Sol over her, after Mae opened up and pleaded to choose her instead of the jedi
To be fair he never said he was sith just that jedi would probably call him sith
"We are going to get the fight in this episode."
Hilarious! this episode was the fight!
Sol messed up now instead of him telling osha what happened Qimir is going to tell her maybe osha will make a better apprentice than may
This episode was HUGE!
There is definitely a bigger Sith Lord out there cause who and how trained Simelo ren
I appreciate Bazil saving Pip! lol
Episode 5 is Lesley Headland’s favorite if you guys didn’t know that. For me she truly is the Director we are looking for to make more content from the High Republic.
Just because we had an amazing fight, it doesnt take away how shit the show has been in general.
@@DBZeni We???? My carrot sees the lie on you than your whole content LIKES. Piss off boy.
Actuakly vader broke the childs neck in kenobi when he was in that village
last episode osha is lagging behing. And mae forgot she was going to hand her self in
- Mae turned good last episode and immediately turned bad again
- Mundi knows the Sith are back but says nothing
- Sith should be extinct but Smilo Ran calls himself a Sith
- Smilo Ren is so powerful but has remained hidden all this time?
- Smilo Ran can float about the place but no one else?
- Padawan was better at fighting a 'Sith' than a Jedi master
- Mae keeps saying she loves Osha but then tries to kill her all the time
- They let the moths take the Sith and just leave without checking he's dead?
- Where was Sol at the start of the fight? He just lets everyone get killed
- Lightsabers can just be turned off all the time?
- Not sure why Jedi can sense the two girls on the witches planet but no one at all could sense Smilo Ran?
- Where is Tenebrae etc?
I love you so much for saying "dragging mines".
Episode 5 was sick
Great episode no doubt. But I'm not sure if one out of 5 is enough to make me enjoy this series. The same goes for obi wan and boba, a couple great moments doesn't make the show good. But I am always happy for decent saber battles and these were some of the best we've had
Amazing episode. Best of the series.
Not saying much. This episode was trash.
@@MontgomeryWenis bye
I mean, he floated down, flicked Osha away and force pushed half a dozen Jedi away at the end of the last episode, and you wanted a bigger hook?
None of this would've MEANT anything if we didn't have the build up of the previous episodes. And we did start with action, Mae vs Indara was literally the first scene. I dunno, I've been very engaged the whole time, my only issue with the show was how short episode 4 was.
13:39 That's Kylo's theme!!!
Poor Jecki-she did her best. Yord was the worst trained Jedi ever!!
Thank you I don’t like listening to people talk about the episode
I wasn't entirely convinced, but thought it was in the realm of possibility that they would pull a Breaking Bad and jump to another storyline instead of actually going through with the fight.
SW fans: Reva was completely superfluous, focus on the main story!
SW: Gives us only hints and small scenes with Jecki and Yord to at least give us something for their background
SW fans: You never developed them enough for us to care!
SW: ...
🤔🤨
What did Sol do in the past? What if Qimir is just the apprentice to a Master we haven’t seen yet?
10/10 episode
I love how, in any era, the Sith reasoning seems to always be, "The Jedi are awful b/c they don't let me murder with impunity, sow chaos and run amok throughout the galaxy. How dare they!"
Smilo straight up outclassed everyone
Na, he did the dirty move on Jecki. She had him pretty good and Sol would have beheaded him. The rest got outclassed
@@DarkJediFarkasloved Jecki but it makes little sense that she put up such a good fight compared to the other Jedi especially since they killed her
I did like the fights here but i also saw some issues; those moments where you see a lot of openings especially if you're like me and like to examine them closely especially in starwars.
Qimir is too much ❤ in a very good sense.
Everyone has to die by the end. That's the only way Phantom Menace makes sense when they say the sith have been EXTINCT for 1000 years
I mean...this is 100 years before phantom so of course they'd be
@@SaiyanQuad92 Someone named Yoda on line one for ya? 😂
@davidmcleod5133 you smart. Not. Yoda is an alien that can live 900 yrs
Everyone is already dead except Sol. What are you even talking about?
Yes, unless someone survives and writers make Jedi Council bury the truth to give them more villain aspect... but it still wouldn't make sense, since Yoda was already in council at this point... but heck, Disney has always taken cannon more as suggestion or approximate guide line rather than actual rules to follow.
Hey guys. So, was Mae pretending this whole time when she said she wanted to give herself up to the Jedi? What a big reveal, no one saw that coming 😆. Tell me Sol already knows that’s Mae.
Dang, this was the best yet!! I’ve been giving this show a chance and glad it’s finally got something going! I’m hoping it was more of a snowball case like how Clone Wars and Rebels started!!
the sith its palpatine master, mind my words (I know he was an alien but who in Star Wars isn't?) He can control the midichlorians at will, we saw him heal Osha's wound... I'm not 100% sure, but it's my theory
Some very solid action and fight choreography, outside of that though… meh😅
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
RIP X-23 :-(
Okay now i wonder if people are Taking back some of the acolyte hate. This episode was awesome! This is way more exciting than anything in Andor for sure!
While I have enjoyed this series, I will agree that there should have been a balance with the drama and the action. And as sad as it is, and I will miss them, please keep Jecki and Yord actually dead. The stakes and danger need to be there like you said, Robert. And may I say it's great to finally see a Filipino American wielding a lightsaber and being a badass at it. Way to represent, Manny! 👍👍🤘🤘🇵🇭 Overall, great episode and one of the best lightsaber action in SW history. Can't wait for the last three episodes! 🤞🤞
