What’s the one feature you’d love to see most on the reMarkable? I tried to cover a few popular ones, but I’d love to hear any that I might’ve missed! Other things I saw people mention: - OneNote integration - Ability to assign a pen to a layer - Add indicator to sidebar on how many layers there are - Ability to switch between the two last used pen types
I disagree with the calculator. Having a proper calculator next to remarkable makes more sense than clicking into a very simplified integrated calculator. I use my scientific calculator app on my phone, but if that were distracting, I’d dig up my desk calculator
In addition to some that you have mentioned already, a button to force a manual sync. The automatic sync sometimes just is delayed for minutes. I have to go into settings and "check sync" to force it synchronize. And then being able to add images into notes - either from an imported image file or an image cut out of a PDF.
There is so much scope to make this a better device without taking us away from their philosophy. I've had it for a couple of weeks and I can't believe how many features I am missing from my regular iPad note taking apps. Come on remarkable....please listen and act!
As a brand new Remarkable Paper Pro user of just a week I am enjoying the experience of clutter free. However, agree with most comments on basic missing features I’ve had on my iPad for years. Basic shapes (triangle, circle, square, rectangle) Quicker pen/colour switching Refresh button Global search Doc linking Plus many of the suggestions in the video. Come on Remarkable team. It’s 2024, we expect these features out of the box.
All are important but Sticky Notes is most important out of all. Some other features also required like 1. Kindle app 2. Web search like we can read articles directly on remarkable 3. Google translator 4. Add images to notes 5. Hold to shape 6. Sticky tape that reveals secret
Great video, thanks for sharing. So, if I were the team at Remarkable Labs, I would immediately add your entire list plus the following software and hardware features: bluetooth capability for a keyboard, the ability to type in the portrait orientation, the ability to type on custom made templates, a shape creation tool and the ability to add images. And basically all or most of the tools on the Onyx Boox Note series.
I’ve just had it for one day, and for me, a refresh button and the ability to select and move text were the first things that I thought it missed. A calculator would be absolutely awesome, and the idea of hyperlinks also sounds great…and with that, custom templates indeed..ooh the luxury of a custom planner! 😍 I’m absolutely loving it so far, but these would really step it up for me. Greetings from Belgium
Thanks for summing up all those things, however most of them collide with their apporach of minimalistic distraction. I will request your ideas to push them harder 🙂
Two tips to alleviate this, First, in PDF settings, make sure PDF Cover is "Last page visited". Second, I created a tag named bookmark. Whenever I want to bookmark a page, I apply this tag (last page read, reference material, funny note). My home page is almost always my Tags page, so at a glance I can see all bookmarked pages. I can also filter by just the bookmark tag and easily remove any old bookmarks. I just wish they would add a Tags filter to the 2 finger doc drawer. This would be a work-around to hyperlinking between 2 pages in separate documents. Now that I know they have a suggestion web page, I will submit it. Thanks!
It is a very good video, for me since color is added, a very nice feature would be to be able to have multiple pen. It's overpriced for so less value imho. It should be easy to just change color tip even with just minor software adjustement. Doing that by for exemple rolling a wheel on the pen, would be a massive upgrade, that would cost next to nothing to implement.
For me, just Hyperlinks, Index and something to take advantage of the beautiful Keyboard (spell check or word count or SOMETHING!!!). The rest is welcomed but not needed (for me). Thanks a lot for the videos!!
You're dreaming. Remarkable has already demonstrated that they know how to make good hardware, but they lack the knowledge and capacity to create decent software. They focus on adding features that nobody needs and very, very basic ones.
I have received faulty device and return back to remarkable team Hong Kong but waiting for very long no replacement received yet, worst service from remarkable team.
Hi, I have noticed faulty pen immediately I receive my new set, then I sent email to remarkable support team they sent email exchange everyday and they asked details purchase, photos , videos of issue I have sent them all then they informed send pen back to them few options I selected direct send back to them to given address. They received got courier receipt informed them again almost 30 email exchange back and forth but still no use they say checking checking….. order ref. XFHBRT4TF3KJDFVH

Leaving the pen on the surface keeps the device unlocked
Cut and paste from a pdf

A function for select the area from a image or pdf and then apply auto-tracing that could be edited. Paste image or text in a layer.

Custom templates is a MUST. They have decent options but they are not enough
Love this video. And 100% agree - if reMarkable PaperPro have these mentioned features, I would not hesitate to buy one.

Add shapes into the toolbox... Square, circle triangle etc
add timestamps on pages
File type ... Jpeg, PNG etc
Some sort of Gal to email files

I find it remarkable (ha) that none of these features are currently available. It just seems crazy to me.

I would definitely be more inclined to buying a rPP if it haves these features, or at least the split-screen and linking documents.
Support on more language is the one I need
I just want bookmarks in the PDFs 😅

Ditch the desktop client and replace access with Https access
Really amazed that I cannot edit notebooks from within a modern browser
by the book go 10.3 and all your dreams will through
Make it something like Roam or Obsidian, and I'm all over it. Without that kind of functionality, it's worthless to me.
Ability to edit word docs 😢

Hey Alex, sorry to hear about the faulty device. Did you send it back under warranty or returned it within purchase time? What is the support saying?
