Thanks so much for checking out Dreamer and Loops! We appreciate it!
Awesome content as always. I look forward to your videos and learn so much . Thank you for the two plugins.
I use the three inch iLoud Micros, and they are absolutely fantastic! Great video as always!
Hi Sanjay, another great video! Thanks for sharing. Regarding monitors, i just use a pair of YAMAHA HS5's. They work well for me in my bedroom studio.
I have had the Yamaha HS8's for several years now and have been happy with them.
Definitely, do a video on the modeling mics, please. It would be great! ❤
Those modeling mics look very interesting 😯+1 for the full demo!
Done!
@@SanjayC👁🙏❤
Looooove your new thumbnail and purple sweater ❤
The new MTM looks nice. Softube business plan is quite interesting and it looks interesting for the futur. Thanks for your videos. I've been ultra busy, hope your are feeling great and everything is good for you and your family.
I have the original MTMs. Love them! Although I do have to finish up my mixes on headphones to get better levels on bass and stereo field. But it is always good to check mixes on both speakers and headphones.
I use Focal and love them. 6.5" with no sub. I've never had luck with a sub. I think 8" would be good but that's too big for my room.
I was shocked when I got iLoud speakers a while back. The sound was shocking compared to their size. I was never able to get a good mix with them so now they're in my gaming room, but the sound is great.
And yes to the mic comparison. Especially interested in the SD-7 for floor toms…
Monitors I have the Adam T7V and have had them for five year and love them. I can listen all day without ear fatigue because of the tweeter and the stereo imaging is great. I also have some Yamaha HS5 that I don't use to much because that nasty midrange bump they have can be annoying.
Dear Sanjay,
Is the output essentials collection at Native Instruments sale a good deal or would you recommend waiting for this year's Cyber Monday or any other sale particularly for Output instruments?
Thanks for your news. Always worth a watch 🙏☺️.
For the Q of the week… I have Yamaha HS7s for a small room setup. They were so good for the price, I couldn’t go past them. My dream setup, though, are the Dynaudio LYD 48s 3 ways I tried at the same time. The sound and frequency/instrument placement was exceptional.
Definitely like that Softube Flow model of licensing. Not a huge up front payment without putting it on a CC, and you get to eventually own the product.
Yeah, true
I am interested in how do these compare to Neumann kh80. They both have very competitive calibration options.
I'm using HS-8's and HS-10 sub, but those monitors look very cool. Will be interested in the review video. For super limited space they could be a game changer.
Yeah, they're really nice - surprised me! Thank you for the Super Thanks, buddy!
Always look forward to your weekly video. Love what you do and appreciate the info and insights. For what it's worth, whenever I hear "subscription" related to product purchases, I am turned off and scratch that product off my list. I'll pay a subscription for an antivirus product or hosting service where they are providing an "active, ongoing service". As someone who was a software engineer, I'll pay a one-time cost for a product that I can evaluate the need for and opt to buy or skip. I can't justify paying monthly just to use a product. That's my opinion but I believe you were asking.
Thanks again for all you do.
Since long years I am using the Adam A7X with the Adam Sub10 - and am still completely satisfied with them :)
That's a nice combo. The A7x have become studio standards
@@SanjayC Indeed 🙂
Same, but these iloud are different for a small pace. It’s interesting.
@@JeffyG Absolutely 🙂
Can you please do a review on the kali audio in 5’s , would be much appreciated thanks
Second the KRK 5s, but much of my mixing is on AKG371. Very smooth response with great sub frequencies without being overpowering. These are too slept on!
Headphone mixing, huh? Do you use something like SoundID? I always find that helps
@@SanjayC Yes! I use SoundID on both the speakers and headphones. But it shows how good the 371s are because SoundID barely makes any changes, they’re quite neutral to start. IE Compared to my HD600s which need larger corrections.
Hi Sanjay, I use the KRK Rokit RP 5 G5 which I‘m very satisfied with. But I’m working a lot with headphones as well. My dream would be Genelec monitors which are quite expensive as high end monitors. I have the Antelope Solo Edge modelling mic, don‘t need another one like an UAD MODELING mic you‘re talking about in this video anymore. Thanks for this week‘s Saturday video! 👏🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Got that Dreamer plugin. Looks nice.
@SanjayC I use Yamaha HS5 with a KRK Rockit 12 subwoofer
Sanjay, check out the iloud micros as well. It’s insane how good they are for the price/size! I keep not “upgrading” since these just seem to do the job 🤷♂️. No room correction needed
Good idea. I'm going to check those out
Hi sanjay...
Please cover the modelling mic in details
Is it good for home studio users?
OK thanks for letting me know you're interested. Yes, I think its good for home studio users if you want/need variety.
I had some really impressive monitors years ago.
They were terrible for making music but brilliant for listening to music..
They were a bit bigger than the iloud’s.
& sound on sound put them as the best speakers under £500..
They did more to hold back my production than anything else.
I brought some Dynaudio bm5a a few years back & omg!!! I will never use small speakers ever again.
I've got Eris 3.5s here and since, unfortunately, this is a multi-use office for me, that's about as big as I can get right now. Not a complaint against the monitors, however; I really like them.
But those iLouds sure do look nice... 😄
Always look forward to and appreciate these weekly wrap-ups!
I like the Eris monitors. I started out with them a few years back. Actually mixed a song with them and was very happy.
I'm rocking the Atom A7, no sub. But, everytime I listen to my mixes in my car, my track levels are always off. I'm not sure how to fix this.
Sanjay your voice sounds like the legendary Casey Kasem...that's why listening at your content is just smooth to the ears...great video and content...💯👍
I really appreciate that. I grew up listening to Casey on the radio. I can never forget his voice.
Wow! What a great compliment! 💜
Can you do a Scooby Doo voice too Sanjay?
I said the same thing a couple of years ago. Great voice and presentation.
i normaly used too yamahas but they didnt got so now im using 7inch krk the nwest gen and i want you to do a yamahas full spere all the way from aruba
Any news on Launchkey MK4?
iridium core is not shipping in US?
The Pianet T sounds really unique. I didn't know that electric piano existed.
Yeah, neither did I! :-D
I have K14 Ultimate already...IMO the upgrade to CE isn't worth it even with the sale, so I'm holding off until a K15 announcement.
4" EVE Audio SC204 with TS108 sub in a small bedroom.
Yamaha HS 8 for as long as I can remember absolutely best for home studios.
I had the regular iLoud, twice. They both had a very loud ringing noise (known issue they never addressed). Hopefully these ones don’t have this issue.
Awesome video! I find it odd that IK doesn't have a subwoofer to pair with with their excellent speakers, especially with their atmos setup. Ultra low frequencies are an important part of the atmos experience.
I feel the same way...I was looking on their website to see if I missed something...they need to make one
my fav monitors are Neuman KH 120's
Do you have them or are they on your wishlist?
@@SanjayC wish i had them but they are on my wishlist
At 4:59 did you mean SM7B?
Hey Sanjay! How have you been!❤
5:34 I can see complimenting a Sphere DLX main with two small snare ones to use with my Djembe top/bottom.
Don't laugh but I havr a Sonodyne SM 200AK (8") monitor to my right and and Behritone (5 1/4") monitor to my left, and it works fine! So one of my Sonodyne (Indian make, awesome sounding monitors, and affordable) broke and I wasn't able to get it fixed, so I started using my Behringer Behritone, that I use as a center mono speaker first, as a temp replacement. Well, that's more than 2 years now...
Yamaha HS8 + M-Audio Av32
Dream Speakers Would Be Barefoot MicroMain 26
I used the Footprint 01s for a long time...I like them
Hello, I use KRK VXT8 but my dream is Genelec 8050 🙂
Hi! Sanjay!
I'm working with the KRK Rockit 5s. No sub. I love them and get the job done for me for what I'm doing.
Thanks for the great content as always!
Thanks for sharing. You're always welcome!
QOTW: no monitors. I need a proper dedicated studio space for this =]
Speaking of which, if I do get my own proper studio space, my mic locker will be the UA Sphere/Hemisphere ones (and maybe a few others).
I do like subscription schemes that allow you to get a perpetual license in the end (see Roland Cloud Ultimate) as opposed to just “feeding the machine”.
I think the Sphere mic (LX) is awesome for home studios.
@@SanjayC What makes that lineup attractive is that you have options within one mic and you don’t have to have all of these different mics on hand, especially the top tier (and often pricey) ones.
Oh yeah, the big pro with three way monitors is because it will separate between lo-, mid- and hi- between the three drivers, which yes does mean the mids come out more distinctly from the other two, which in turns helps those sections stand out more.
The UAD-plugin is the way it is, because it models two classic UA-hardware units. Maybe you should have said that in the video...?
1500€ if you want to extend the bass response with a decent sub, seems a bit steep.
Focal Shape Twin + Focal Sub One
for the "real life" reference Logitech Z623
Wow.. I’m so behind with these goodies!!!
That's what I"m here for, buddy!
I work on MacBook Air monitors
The Reality: Mackie CR3s, a Monoprice sub all running through a Focusrite Solo 3rd Gen on a 2019 MacBook Pro.
The Dream: A full KRK Rockit speaker setup using a UA Volt 476 audio interface on a full spec latest MacBook Pro.
awww, no 1176 into the la-2a? That's possibly the most famous and common compressor combination in music history. you are definitely not asking too much. I assume there's no bypass to use just the compressor section. shame.
THANK YOU! UA...let's get an update!
Load two instances?
@@DenariusHaveNarius yeah, I was thinking that, but I was wondering if you could bypass the preamp section in the second.
@@Clasam09 It looks like you can bypass the EQ of the pre, and also have the pre set to 0, but I'm not sure whether that will "colour" the sound? I had a quick try (it's part of the subscription bundle) but couldn't tell - I hadn't had the coffee yet. Having said that, as I have a subscription to UA Connect I already have the LA-2A and 1176, so not really an issue for me at the moment.
Iloud micro monitors with Eris 8 in sub
I use a Bluetooth speaker for making my beats then go to a friend's house to use his KRKs for reference.
Also, my dream monitor setup is the Yamaha NS-10s.
mr Sanjay, could you do a comparison between the new focusrite 2i2 4th Gen vs the Apollo twin and Apollo twin x?
That's an interesting comparison - different price ranges, huh?
@@SanjayC audio quality and best bang for your buck as well sir 😀
I use Sony 7506 as my monitors 😆😆😆😆
I've got a pair of Kali LP6s, no sub.
Feature them
With all due respect to universal audio, what the HELL are they doing?!?
Are you referring to the mics or the plugin...or both 😄
Use you words man! No idea what you’re referring to.
Hiiiiiii, first comment here😂
Hey Vatsali! How are you today?
@@SanjayC i am doing good, also i bought the Jbl 104s after watching your video and i must say they are really nice!
Correction...to your content...😁
