@Private Eyes yes accessport. Eqt sells their tune along with the accessport for a discounted price but I bought my ap used and I’m planning to get the eqt tune for $175

A guy I met at Toronto Motorsport Park Dragstrip ran 11.48@121mph with EQT stage 2 v2.0 E30 tune in a 2018 Golf R DSG. Ed@EQT has the best tunes for the GTI/R MK7/MK7.5 in my opinion. He is the only guy that I trust tuning my MK7 Golf R

@@LastHumansGarage I heard that's upcoming in your video. The HP jump isn't really needed for me to enjoy my car but I love having it for the occasional WOT pull. (2018 stage 2 Wrx)

just went out again, and was BLOWN away on a couple accelerations...
I went from stock to eqt stg 1 and holy shit man. A week later I’m slipping in 4th tho. Stock clutch 48k. Clutch shopping now.

I'm happy you're finally enjoying your GTI like I've been mine... I've always scratched my head on a few of your decisions like getting rid of your original accessport like getting rid of the Helix and OCDing about a WRX. Enjoy it man can't wait to see what little tweaks you add for a just a little bit more power. E30, IS38? I'll be watching
not sure how much more i have to add.. but with my car running hotter now with huge power, im hearing more fans, more cooldown, etc.. would be cool to add an oil cooler at some point..
@@LastHumansGarage What oil temperatures are you getting? On a hot day and spanking my Stage 2 on the unrestricted Autobahn I can get maximum 110 degrees C (that's 230 Fahrenheit), but typically 223 Fahrenheit. My 1st Stage 2 was running a little hotter.

@@LastHumansGarage I see, that's still quite cool. Then you shouldn't worry too much about thermals when adding more horses with E30
Just recently bought a 2018 gti se, only 16k miles , I still have warranty but I don't think I can wait much longer . Will be ordering my Cobb accessory with the EQT ecu tune and dsg tune . Will be doing stage 1 93 octane for now .
Where can you get that eqt file I just bought a ac port with dsg I'm also running thier stage 1 93 with cobb
eqt is an ok ots tune, Apr is much better than all other's

is that oil temp normal for it being 76° outside? mine hits 220 maybe when its 100 out. normally im 215-217. im stage 2 apr fbo

@@ricola1759 yes I did. I’ve been on the EQT stage 1 tune for ecu/tcu for about a month. It’s amazing. 310hp/375ftlbs !! Highly recommend!

never measured it.. but my butt dyno across all my cars says im at least 325 to the wheels on this E30 tune.

for a stage 1 tune you dont need any mods.
Does the tune prevent any of the obd monitors from running?
im sure it does prevent some monitors from finishing.. you have to disable a light, etc.
What’s the biggest difference in the EQT tune vs Unitronic?
the power.
Your car is awesome. Fun ride along. What is horse power. It really pulls nicely
no clue on horsepower. This isnt a numbers channel. but if i had to come up with a number.. i'd say between 300-325 to the wheels?? now its as scary fast as my WRX was at its peak, with the E50 tune, but faster for sure. meaning if i took my same neighbor for a spin, he would be a bit scared and grip the door handle like last time.
It's hard to keep track, but what's your exhaust setup with the EQT tune?
hasnt changed in a year.. stock catback with vibrant resonator in place of stock resonator. (and ultimate racing catted/resonated downpipe)
I'm doing the EQT Stage 2 tune on my car and was wondering why you replaced the Unitronic DP with the Ultimate Racing?

Are you running stock exhaust? Are you getting DSG farts? I have a stock 2017 with DSG. I cant get mine to DSG fart 😫😩😭. Im wondering if this tune will really make them noticeable.
mostly stock exhaust. the DSG farts are a lot less noticable on the MK7/7.5 than the MK6 was. but they will become a lot more noticeable if you do a downpipe.
@@LastHumansGarage can I run burbles on my stock downpipe? I know the pops and bangs tune will destroy my cat. Im not sure if the burbles are any better.

Considering the stage 1 tune on my new 2020 DSG, but naturally a little skittish since I just bought the car. What’s the consensus on reliability and warranty? This is my daily.

That's awesome, thanks. Everyone seems to think you "void your warranty" as soon as you flash your car, but I think in reality, VW would have to prove it was a tune that caused the issue.

You would be surprised at how great the GIAC tunes for our cars are especially if you run 93 octane or an IS38/w e85

none. DSG.
Nice video! I started my tuning journey as well with the Cobb accessport but then went EQT with Stage 1 and will not go back! Downpipe just came in so getting ready for EQT Stage 2 now.

How come when you're in manual mode it shows "M" and the gear you're in? I have EQT's DSG v2.03 file on my DQ250 and it doesn't do that. :(

i would never find out. cuz i will never put my car in eco mode.
@@LastHumansGarage just wondering.. majority of the time I’m in eco mode. I’m avging about 17mpg which seems odd to me. I mostly do local driving so I’m guessing that why?. Just a bit concern about how much lower my mpg going to be. Don’t get me wrong I’m perfectly fine with my gas going down when I’m having fun but this car is also my daily.
Wouldn’t a better comparison between tunes be to show the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times? Instead giving impressions that are subjective? Considering you are now sponsored by the current tune company...? This is what I would like to see

@@zed0k sure.. of course you will get a smell. but its nothing as bad as running catless which makes your eyes water. i havent noticed my smell in 2 years.. i got used to it i guess.
@@LastHumansGarage I currently have a catless downpipe but I'm thinking of switching it out for a catted one. I was looking at the ultimate racing because it looks well made and is priced very well.

no, but its a recirc. not a blowoff. but even so, GTIs can handle the blow off these days since they dont have a MAF. but, you still get more performance without a blowoff, so you're not losing your boost every shift.
I got the dual port and love it . I’m stage 2 and I love every second of driving the thing so many good noises
I have emissions in Atl, I have a 2018 gti with stage 2 Unitronic with DSG tune. I want to go EQT stage 2 but can you switch back to the stock tune, for emissions testing then switch back to stage 2 ( I pass with stage 2 Uni this way) without extra charges?
all dependent on your state.. if they test emissions or visiuals you have to take your aftermarket downpipe off.

yes, i think this was BEFORE i added the E30 tune.. this was the 93 octane OTS tune from EQT.

@@jralphroman not touching the turbo for sure. its all leak free and perfectly factory functional. all that changes as soon as you swap whole turbo. opens up a whole new set of things to monitor. E30 for sure.

hahahah its fun for an hour at most for me.. but not in day to day in traffic.. thats why my burbs are only in sport mode. i rarely use them
