Hello and Seasons Greetings from a warm and sunny Tampa, Florida. Mali, it was such great fun seeing you along the road right outside of Grange. It certainly made our day as we were going to several sites that you had pointed out around Lake Buttemere in one of your many RUclips videos. Carol was able to get several shots that she’s very happy with and while she wanted to go to another location you had mentioned, we were just too tired and she decided to go to the lone tree instead. She had taken an image of the lone tree back in spring of 2022. So it was fitting that she would take it in the autumn. You do marvelous work and do a great job at giving great locations. As Jeff said, keep up the great work because you give those of us around the world great images and Inspire us to keep getting out there and doing the thing that we all love . Jeff and Carol from Tampa Florida .
The RUclips algorithm LOVES gear and tips and teaching, so everybody does it. I love the fact that you don't bother with any of that, and concentrate instead on what draws you into a scene in the first place. It's not easy to forgo all the technical smoke and mirrors - something I fail at and then have to cut half of my video out before I even begin. Thank you for another journey of colour and enthusiasm.
It’s amazing. One day you find nothing to take, the next masses. The latter was certainly a day for you, Mali. Absolutely superb images! Love your work, very dreamy. 😊
An outstanding video Mali, you outdid yourself this episode...Just WoW!! I know that place well, for many decades, that special valley, my favourite but your eyes show what I've never quite seen there before...Thanks for uploading.
As the saying goes, "Rules are for the guidance of a wise man and the obedience of an idiot". Then again Idiot could be swapped for unpractised, unknowing, looking for the obvious, and unfeeling. To have emotion and feeling for what you do is a must and you seem to have that in abundance. A lovely gallery of shots at the end, so pleasing to look at, then Wallop, in comes the curve ball right at the vey end , Sublime. Keep shooting.
@@iaincphotography6051 huge comment and if I had a choice between rules and emotions I’d pick the harder. It exhausts it drains the brain but fills the soul and replenishes the heart. Thank you so much Iain 😍👍
Great video, I enjoyed your autumn walk. and the photos are perfect, beautiful work. wish you all the best for Christmas and New Year. Greetings from Baltex Peter from Thailand🙏
Absolutely stunning photography and very entertaining to boot. I love the Lake District and you have given me withdrawal symptoms, although I have been twice this year. It beckons me to return after Christmas. Keep up the good work and Thank you.
Ha Ha. I've driven my wobblybox over that bridge a few times. We are currently staying in Braithwaite as the Borrowdale site is closed for the winter. Something that came across in this video that you've done for me: You have removed the FF and replaced it with the FF (Fear Factor to Fun Factor). I've stopped worrying if my compositions are 'correct' and now take photos that have a feel they are right. And cobblers to the 'rules' . This has led me to another epiphany. I'm seeing the edited version in my mind's eye more and more. I don't have your design training but I seem to have found an instinct for what works. I rarely get more that two acceptable shots in a day. But I am so enjoying getting them now. I think this Autumn has been very protracted and even now, there are still pockets of rustic colour to be found. This week I've seen the district in a new light. Winter has its own charms and despite the rationed daylight hours, it has its advantages of the golden hour lasting practically all day long. I love photographing the geometric shapes of the deciduous trees, bereft of their foliage. Photography is a vehicle that lets you see the beauty of nature that others fail to notice or take for granted. So as I've said before my friend, my gratitude is immense. Thanks, thanks & thanks. Footnote: Just before I left school, my headmaster asked me what I wanted to do as a job. I told him I wanted to be a photographer. He talked me out of it and I went into engineering. Reflecting on my life, I'm glad he did because I have absolutely no desire to become a professional photographer as I think it would strip out the joy of it. But I do with you the very best of luck and success in your goal to become a full time pro. I don't know if you will get rich but I am pretty sure your life will be full of joy doing it. Footnote to footnote Hope I've not talked you to sleep 😂 Footnote of footnote of footnote: THat monochrome 5th from the end is sublime.
Thank you very much for watching.
