It amazes watching guys draw in the music on the piano roll like this. You would think it's only possible to get musical expression through the played notes of a midi keyboard but these dudes get so much feel in there using only the mouse and so fast!
After all, it's just notes... and you ability to use them :)
It's nice too see someone actually say this, it IS a REAL talent to just flow on the piano roll like this, too many people don't respect artists that work this way.
you work so quick. unbelieveable
We agree! Neddie is incredible 🤩
He’s fast
It’s because he planned in advance exactly what he would do.
bro is playing ableton ranked. SO QUICK 🔥
Neddie's the best! 🙌
This guy just made a banger of a song in under 13 minutes. I learned so much from this. can't believe this was a free video, bravo.
Thank you for your kind words! We're glad you found value in the information we shared in the video ☺

I stumbled on youre video and wow man, wtf you work so quick in that time ive just about done my kick hat and clap 😂🤣🤣😂🤣 but great tutorial.
Ive been studying fred agains music for like a couple months and at this moment in time he in my top 5 house producers, so im glad you done this man.
Again great tutorial you got a sub from me 🔊🔊😇
Thank you so much, we appreciate you! 🙏🤗
Good job Neddie !
I'm not in to the sound particularly but huge respect for the ear of Neddie knowing exactly what to do and while keeping a course he embraces happy incidents as well. He is determined by vision and not making things more complicated to grab the essence and stick to the program while working at light speed. I know proper production is more about the musical ideas and less about plugins. But Neddie demonstrated it's about fast working with a certain goal in mind but not absolute. I like that having a goal but also going with things and just make them work.
Thank you for your detailed review on the video! We appreciate it :)
learned a couple things here. thanks!
We're glad it was helpful! ☺
Great job, neddie, nice 👌 catchy piece
🙌
Would love to see all the key commands on the screen as you were editing piano roll
I always feel emotionally manipulated when I listen to Fred Again lol
😂
Awesome!
Thank you so much! :)
This is fire
This is fire!!!!
Thank you so much!
insane!!
We agree! 🙌
"4 tricks fred again uses to hook you" video should really be "Fred Again track 13 min speed run!" :P awesome work dude you are epic at getting the sound just right! one thing he talks about on a podcast called tape notes is tuning his drones to chords :)
Thank you! We appreciate citing the podcast :)
neddie is so good at producing
Great video
Thank you! We appreciate it 🤗
this video inspired me more than i thought it would, continue making this series! i even learned something new.
and how do u produce i scale without usincg highlight scales, u just got the major and minor scale mapped out like numbers and then u count from the root note or what?
Some people actually learned scales. I call these people musicians. It's not exactly difficult. It's just like learning the first few letters of a foreign alphabet.
@@AutPen38 lol u dont have to be a musician to know scales. Your local plug 🔌 do too
Wow!
🚀
What font are you using for the UI? It looks dope!
curious do you prefer dragging and dropping drums like you're doing here over using drum racks and midi? and why?
Are those headphones comfortable? You can get some great open back ones for so cheap right now.
🙌
Fred again type beat Any%

Curious about what program you're using to capture the screen recording and system audio output?
Obs
how does he have the custom font?
this guy is pure AI. they live among us and we dont even know 😳
Yes, Neddie is incredible! 🤩
Name of piano vst?
Is that a minecraft texture pack for ableJohn?
be honest, this was 13:20 long ad for your sample pack LOL
We're glad you went through the entire video! ☺️
8:05 Ned let rip
Can somebody please explain the cord progression? I don't even understand what are half of the chords he used and what key he is using. And he seemed to come up with them so spontaneously... Like, yeah let me play Dmaj7 followed by F#min and then G#min/E? Please, help.
Must just know music theory at a pretty high level to know his starting point and progressions off rip. like he said at one point, "I want this to sound melancholy" so he will chose the notes that fit that description.. And then just add variation and nuance while they hear it and what they have in mind. This guy is knowledgable but I can tell he's a gamer or something cause dude is just crazy fast at making those decisions.
Hi! Sorry, what music program do you use? Looking like not GarageBand..
Neddie uses Ableton Live 11 Suite 11.0. 2. We hope that helps! :)
@@RocketPoweredSound Thank You!😌
Question, for the drums, why not just put them into a drum rack? I've noticed a lot of producers don't utilize drum rack and I genuinely don't understand why not 🤔
It’s a matter of preference. There’s a myth that drums are punchier in the playlist but it’s wrong.
this gives me more Jersey vibes
😉
Enough FA. Omg
You've got a speed hack in real life😂
😉
Which DAW is this?
Neddie uses Ableton Live 11 Suite 11.0. 2. We hope that helps! :)
I’m 55 bud…please slow down a bit 😂😂😂…I’m trying to rekindle my youth 😂😂😂 and learn how to produce… hats off though… amazing
Tips
1. Faster Tempo
2. Stuttery Synths
3. Subtle sidechain
4. Loud Pianos
Baby tell me whats wrong?!
Is it only me thats been wondering why neddie is in alot of RPS vid
Fred Again Speedrun
🤷♂️😎
you look little bit just like the streamer/gamer ninja and u both hav kinda same deep voice 😂😂😂😂......... Anyway nice tutorial
Great observation! 😆 Thank you for your kind words
@@RocketPoweredSound 😂😂😂😂
I love the video and the way you teach, but hearing the echo in your room and the clacking of your keyboard is way too distracting :(
First
too fast ,I will try to catch up
Nothing a few rewinds can't fix, we hope 😅
It’s “quick” because the video is edited and the guy planned everything he would do in the video beforehand.
it doesn’t sound like fred again at all bro I‘m sorry to say that, it‘s more like a chill future house track. Fred is more UK House and drum n bass
