  • In this episode of Onsite Vlog #6 we cover Trussed Rafters on this attic conversion and two storey extension project.
    Through time lapse video we can speed up the process of how to install trussed rafters.
    Tony and young Will lay chicken mesh wire and Gyproc fire line fire resistant plasterboards under the steel beams.
    A huge delivery of PU foam roof insulation arrives as well as the challenge of unloading the roof trusses.
    Tony shows you how to use a telehandler.
    This is a JCB 17m telehandler with forklift jib extension to lift roof trusses.
    He explains the roof truss design, the wall plates from where the roof hips and valleys get thrown and getting the first mono truss in place to set the main attic truss.
    Once in place they can all be nailed using the paslode 360Xi framing nailer. Finally you get a look at progress on the brick extension and Alex's fine brick corner details.
    Chicken mesh: amzn.to/3yxP8QZ
    Gyproc fire resistant plasterboards: amzn.to/3Ey549Y
    PU foam roof insulation: amzn.to/3SUhVYj
    Paslode 360Xi framing nailer: amzn.to/3s4mIe1

    This is an awesome and also very challenging roof build. Team spirit is high as always!
    The pile of insulation in the beginning of the video made me remember when I received my 150 sqm of 100mm insulation, it did fill out a large bedroom completely.
    Most is now on my flat roofs, laid 45 sqm today!

    • @BuildWithAE
      @BuildWithAE  Год назад

      Hi Guys the lath and plaster ceilings are only 20min fire rated the steel has to be 1/2 fire rated and the chicken mesh and rockwool on the rest bring it up to 1/2 compliance the mesh is for hot embers and rock great fire rated product hope this helps all the best Tony 👍
