This is my 5th timelapse of Factorio. The main mods I used are: all the Bob's, all the Angel's, all the MadClown's, all the Pyanodon's, plus the 30 new science packs mod, and with the help of MomoTweak mod to add all the complexity of the previous mods to the 30 new science packs. Also I used some mods like the alien biomes, FNEI, GhostPlacerExpress, long-reach, op_train_speed, Squeak Through, Visible_Bots, and some more.
All in all, all the main mods I used adds to the most complex game of Factorio one could ever have. I also changed to multiply by 5 the technology recipe.
Hope you enjoy the video and tell me what you think.

I do think that the skills needed to layout a PCB and a factorio base overlap a fair bit. You can think of belts as traces, underground belts as vias, assemblers, refineries etc as ICs, inserters as resistors, chests as capacitors, trains as low level comms protocol like I2C.
@@robintaylor3713 They work in completely different ways thought.
@@benlawton5420 Sorry for not providing a mathematically analogous sample. I more just meant the way in which assemblers have inputs and outputs that need connections to eachother in the minimal space like ICs do. one does not make you good at the other but I feel being good at one shows potential to learn the other well fairly quickly

**Tbh I can't even automate Blue Science Pack**

@@Muhanoid As long as we're giving advice, I'd really love some advice for how to approach trains that doesn't make me want to just stop playing. I struggle to find the fun in them despite the fact that I actually really love the idea of doing a grid-system'd train network. It just ends up being _such_ a *huge* chore.
And I've spoiled myself by stumbling onto bob's god modules, and then combined that with a stacking mod, which allowed me to use bots to create a mall that could easily outperform *_anything_* I'd even dream of. Because suddenly bots become capable of carrying 10x as much, and the factories use far less resources, far less power, produce far more, and produce it far faster. Doing that just murdered the fun of Factorio for me. I mean, it was incredibly satisfying that one time, but since then I can hardly bring myself to play. Which sucks, I very recently hit the 1000 hour mark for the game on Steam. And it's the only game I've done that for, more than double the next most played game for me (Rocket League).
Also I tend to play on peaceful. And when I don't, I use a mod to auto-distribute ammo so that I don't have to shovel it around (as well as coal for things like smelters). I think I've basically eliminated a lot of the paths that the Factorio devs intentionally created that steer you into the "fun" paths of the game. Hm.

@@yukisetsuna1325 Right now I am playing Pyanodon. And can not undestund how he can get so much faster access to trains. to get first logistic science pack I've spend over 60 hours ingame + some time on forums and calculators. Also I am not undestund why he focused on warehouses from angel's mod while py is much better (caravan for example).
And, of course, he built is too fast. Seems long reach = time skip. Not cheat at all but very cheaty. Also, Bob's modules and beacons too powerful. He even did not released how to use full powers of those modules. Actually fully prod+speed can make 1 steel chest of green circuits(200 stack size) just by 1 recipe using. It is equal x10000 productivity to 1 raw resourses. No need to build 100x same factories because it cause to very low fps. enough just 1 factory + about 40 beacons and about 250 modules. Also it is save too much energy because practically factory will be idle most of time because of overproduction, by beacons waste energy.
also, there no need too much bots because he can just use py logistic stations. At this point trains are total useless.
I think if he just started with py it will be not so fast. Angel's and Bob's mods are too cheaty to compare with py.

@@darklex5150 my guess is that green circuits is the first thing you have to use all the basics to automate. You have to use multiple inputs, alongside local production of cables. I quite enjoy stuff like this where once you finish and leave then being able to watch as your creation slowly decays from something until everything stops working. Like throwing a switch so mining machines and the like stop producing as much if at all leading to transport slowing down as the needs fall all until everything quietly settles and stops for the rest of time.
Stuff like this in rimworld is pretty nice too. My last colony I got to watch fall into disrepair from fighting off a few raids after I left. With power sources degrading to the point of non-function causing the batteries to drain slowly with lights eventually starting to flicker off and turrets powering down. Once the batteries ran dry the cleaning bots slowly stoped working allowing nature to retake the base. Cracking the walls and floors allowing plants to start growing inside. It's quite interesting to watch as your base turns to ruin simply from time. It makes me wonder what those who will find it next will think of the base. If any will even stumble across it at all. Would they even be able to imagine the glory it once had or would all they see be a ruin of a once great colony.
