- In today’s episode I go over what seeds I’m going to try to find room for in the garden for fall. I have high hopes for much success. Lets grow.😊🫘🌱🫶🏽
Benefits of Arugula:
Arugula is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, which work together to support your overall health:
Vitamin A: Supports vision, immune function, and skin health
Vitamin C: Acts as an antioxidant that protects against oxidative stress, supports blood vessel function, and helps wounds heal
Vitamin K: Essential for blood clotting and bone health
Potassium
Arugula contains about 150 mg of potassium per serving, which helps regulate blood pressure and electrolyte balance. Potassium also helps muscles contract normally and may be beneficial for people with high blood pressure.
Antioxidants
Arugula is full of antioxidants, which can protect against or reverse damage to your cells.
Glucosinolates
These natural substances, which give arugula its bitter taste and strong scent, may protect you against certain cancers.
Carotenoids
The carotenoids found in arugula may lower the risk of certain types of cancer, particularly prostate cancer.

Arugula is a good source of lutein, which may protect your eyes and keep your vision sharp.
Folate
A B vitamin that helps support the production of DNA and other genetic material. Folate deficiency in pregnant women may lead to spina bifida, a neural tube defect.

It’s crazy hot. We will be in the 100’a for the next 3 or 4 days. I’m holding off on my lettuce until it cools down some. I do want to have some in the fall garden if I can get it growing. You’re welcome. I know many people don’t eat potatoes. My Mom wants to limit eating them. I’m trying to help out where I can. Thanks for watching.😊🫘🌱
You have some great selections in the queue. I am keeping it to some late tomatoes, peppers, peas, onions, greens and lettuce.

Castor plant!
You have quite an awesome variety of greens, onions, shallots, and all the things that you’re going to be planting out in your fall garden. I know there’s a ton more, but I just decided to stop listing all the things. I’m going to be trying some mixed variety of carrots this fall also. I have Canna that are growing in the back corner of my garden inground and they are at least 10 feet tall and beautiful.

So far I’m enjoying the beauty of the castor plant. I hope to one day be able to collect the castor oil from it.
