Thank you for visiting my suburban garden. My goal is to show; you can garden anyway you can imagine. Fresh homegrown food doesn't have to be out of reach no matter your budget. I compost to include vermicompost. I collect rain water. I ferment, can, dehydrate, and freeze what I grow, and what I purchase. I appreciate you taking the time to drop in & view my little slice of the world. I hope you enjoy my journey as it's presented. I ask that you be kind and respectful when commenting. Uploads are on Wednesday & Saturday with the occasional random upload depending on what's going on. Happy Gardening to you.😊🫘🌱

Hey Clausen 😊
Beautiful ❤👍🏾
That caster bean plant! 🤗Wow! I didn't realize they got that big and it's so pretty. Awesome garden tour. Everything is so healthy and lush. TFS!👍🏾
I had no idea the caster plant would get that large either. It’s beautiful. I will plant but Wow!🤣 Thank you. I’ve been working little by little to create the garden. It was bare when I moved in. I’ve been very lucky to be able to grow what grows, and eat from the garden. Thank you for watching and commenting.😊🌱
Hey Lady! Your garden is wonderful! I can't help but to notice your video looks stunning! What camera and editing software are you using. I know! I'm such a geek! 😅😅😅 TIA!
Hey Hey. I hope you are well. I saw the weather might have been giving you the blues. I upgraded my phone. Mine was old.🤦🏽♀️ inside an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Only because it was cheaper than the iPhone 16 Pro Max that was recently released. I’ve been playing with its features. Only because. I want people to know you don’t have to invest in an expensive camera to get started making you tube content. I use iMovie to edit. I’m not great with editing. The phone and its standard features do all the work.🤣 Thanks for noticing. I appreciate you watching and commenting.😊📱📷
@ClausenWorld Sounds good! It is noticeably good! And you're correct! No need to buy an expensive camera to get started! I've been debating on getting a "high end" camera but "do I want to setup or lug around all that extra gear?" NO! My new phone and old phone does the trick! Again I am such the tech geek. Lol! Thanks for the well wishes! Thanks for getting back to me and thanks for sharing!
Wow! Very niceee 😊
Thank you. I appreciate you watching.😊
Your garden is beautiful. Everything is taking off now that it’s cooler. We have a lot of new construction that causing pest problems in my garden too. I’m on top of it. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏾♥️
Thank you. I’m trying to create a similar food forest like you had. My space is smaller so I’m really considering not having my trees. A few have suffered being in the container. I didn’t want to put them in the ground just in case they cause foundation damage over time. Plus I’m not sure if this will be my forever home. So many what if’s.?.🤷🏽♀️ I’ve never faced these type of pests before. It’s a bit much.🤦🏽♀️ All the construction forced these animals to find new homes. I’m glad you all are able to take care of them. I’m still fighting to keep them away from my property.😒 Thank you for your support. I greatly appreciate you watching and commenting. It means a lot.😊🫶🏽
Hey Clausen, you have a beautiful garden. To excited about your watermelon 🍉 and sweet potato 🥔. Thanks for sharing your garden. Happy Gardening 😃

I need to sow some root ctops as well. I grow my carrots right on through the winter, and they do fine. If they die back, they come back in spring! Thanks for sharing 💜
@@emekasearthgems3376 good to know I checked on my carrots last night. My babies are growing.😁 I’ll be sowing more seeds soon. Hopefully the cooler temps won’t hurt them to bad.🤞🏽 Thanks for watching.😊🥕
I’m wondering if we can use a low sugar version of Corn Cob Jelly as a corn syrup replacement
I wouldn’t think so. I think you’d need to condense it to thicken it. I say give it a try. It may be worth the experiment. Thanks for watching and commenting.😊
hi clausen 🤗 great haul. new subscriber. please get inside before the mosquitoes get too crazy. i placed hanging rods in my yard with hummingbird feeders so i can watch them through my window. im going to sow flower seeds for them. i purchased bare root berries last year - twice - and none of them made it, but the two grape plants i bought finally took. tfs
Hello and welcome. I’m happy to hear you’ve subscribed. The mosquitoes run me indoors. I can’t get anything done as I’d like. I have a couple of humming bird feeders. I decided to not hang them. I’d have to make food, and I didn’t want to add one more thing on my to do list to do. I bet your feeders are wonderful to see. Yes. I sow flowers for the hummingbirds. I can’t always get around the garden. Having flowers helps feed the gardens beneficials. Same with me. Berries seem to want to act sensitive. If you can’t hold your own in my garden. You might die.🤦🏽♀️ Good luck with your fruit area. I need to figure out why my grape leaves are turning brown.🤦🏽♀️ the fun never ends.🍇🤷🏽♀️ Thank you for watching and commenting.😊
I’m loving the food forest you’re planting back there! It’s coming along BEAUTIFULLY. Keep on sowing and growing and stay blessed fam! -Calvin
Thank you fam. I’m trying to pack as much as I can in. Just wait. 2025 will have even more goodies.😉🤣 Continued blessing sent your way fam. Take care.😊
Good luck on your carrots. This year I grew carrots in those large size rectangular black plastic cement mixing pans. I placed the pans under trees so got part morning sun and filtered afternoon shade. The carrots did well there. FYI I did plant shorter carrots in these containers.
Hello there. The carrots have decided they want to grow. I have germination.😁 Thank goodness. I’ll add another container in the garden in spring just for more carrots. Thanks for sharing how you grow yours. I have a shorter container. Let me see if I have any short carrots. It maybe too late but if I have some short carrots. I’ll sow those tomorrow.🥕 Thanks for watching.😊🌱
I enjoyed watching your video. Grow seeds grow!❤👍🏾
Thank you. That warms my heart to know. The seeds are growing. Some better than others. Thanks for watching.😊🌱
New subscriber, glad to see you've gotten chips. I've been on the list for 2 years, just renewed. I'm familiar with plantar fasciitis. I hope you feel better soon.
@@armychikadee50 I forgot to say when I responded to your video that I subscribed to your channel as well. Yes, I got chips pretty quickly. That is so odd that it’s taken 2 years, and you still haven’t not gotten any chips. I hope they get you some before the end of the year. I have been completely messed up. Both Achilles heels have tendinitis as well. I’m so over the chronic pain. Thank you. I’m trying to get better. Thank you for watching.😊

Mosquitoes 🦟 are a problem for me. Thanks for sharing and happy gardening 👨🏿🌾
Mosquitoes are awful. Thanks for watching. Happy gardening to you as well.👩🏽🌾
Take Care and thanks for sharing your garden seeds and plants 😊
Thank you I am. I still haven’t planted any of the goodies.🤦🏽♀️ Soon.😊🤷🏽♀️
I have the same problem with the mosquitoes. It can take up to 2 weeks or more for me to get rid of the mosquito bites.
I immediately go wash the area with soap and water. Then I spray the area several times before bed. With a mixture of alcohol, tee tree, oregano oil, lavender and lemon grass. Usually by the next morning the swelling has completely gone down. If I have any burning left it’s minimal. Thanks for watching.😊
I 🙏🏾 that you feeling better. Take it easy on the wood chips. Your garden looks lovely. Thank you, for sharing.❤💚
Thank you. It’s been a long journey, and I’m still not better. I had to stop moving the chips. A neighbor stepped in, and helped me. Thank you. I have wood chip piles everywhere. I hope I can get them smoothed out soon. Thanks for watching.😊🪵🫶🏽
No more deliveries for you! There's a dude on RUclips that has some really good simple home exercises (for lack of a better word) to help with planar fasciaitis an older lady at my gym tried them and it helped her greatly I'll try to find the videos and send them to you if you'd like to give them a try. It didn't require any special gadgets or machines just simple household items
You’re right. I couldn’t finish moving them. My neighbor stepped in. I’ve been in so much pain for a long time. I can’t even wear rain boots or my garden boots. All shoes hurt. Then I fell, and hurt my knee so now it’s clicking. I’m so done.🤦🏽♀️ I would like that. E-mail to me please. Thank you.😊🫶🏽

You’re very welcome. It’s not difficult. If I can do it…you can do it too. Good luck.😊

Thanks for the lesson in Composting. It is very important to compost and use it in your garden! Your plants love it and compost is most time, you feeding the garden what you took out of the garden!! Great video my friend!! See you next time!!
Thank you. I have a bucket to my neighbor. Now she’s adding to my compost bins. Now if I can get her to stop putting rice and bread in the bucket.🤦🏽♀️ I have been spreading the latest batch of compost. It really is one of the best things you can give your plants. Plus it cuts down on you having to purchase soil. Thanks for watching my gardening friend.😊

I'm glad you can get drops because the tree people around me are apparently caught back and don't use technology
