When checked back in 2009 there wasn't much on RUclips with
Robbin Harris so I added these videos to remember a great man
and his work. I had to make 3 video because of the 10 minute
time limit. Am happy with all your support in honoring a man
that could make us all laugh.

I don't care how many times I listen to his jokes I still laugh hysterically. He left us at the young age of 36 in 1990. He had just finish a sold out performance and went to his hotel room for the night . He went to sleep and had a heart attack in his sleep. He is truly missed. May he R.I.P .
Roger Cook plus his wife was pregnant with his child when he passed. Very sad indeed
Harris spent his final Saturday (3/17/1990) alive doing a 90 minute set at the Reagal, then went out for BBQ Ribs, and THEN spent most of the remainder of the night at a Blues Club. He was brought back to his Four Points Hotel Room around 2 AM, he died from a Massive Heart Attack, shortly after his friends carried him in and put in him in bed.
Harris Died from Heart Disease. Brother had an unhealthy heart and kept avoiding the Doctor. Harris' actions that Saturday are what killed him. Had he went back to his Hotel and rested AFTER performing at the Theater, he wouldn't have died. STRESS came in on his Heart because he wouldn't slow down.

This man was simply amazing. Literally one of the best jokes ever told. If he didn’t pass away in 1990, he would have been one of the comedians on The Kings of Comedy.

He wasn't gonna be Eddie big. You act like Eddie Murphy wasn't THE BIGGEST STAR in the movie world or something. Robin was headed more like Bernie Mac. BeBe's Kids was going to be a live action movie and he likely would've gotten a TV show or something off of that.

'Bebe's Kids', the CD, could very well be the most hilarious stand-up comedy album ever recorded. Robin was just damn funny from the moment he hit the stage and opened his mouth. Had he lived longer, I'm sure he would be considered one of the all-time greats. He should be anyway.
1000% i still have my Robin Harris CD i bought after watching this special. There's so much more on that CD. One of the all time greats.

Brilliance, 3 of the greatest comedians of all time came from Illinois. Bernie Mac and Robin Harris from Chicago and Richard Pryor from Peoria. Their styles were similar but different. They were griots, story tellers in the African tradition, they each took everyday living and showed us the beauty in just going through our daily existence. Absolute comedic genius !!!
