FLIP Fluids with STORM granular (1st combination try)

  • Please note, that the granular simulation was done using STORM granular solver!
    In this try we are using a meshed version of the granular for using it as forcefield to push the fluids around. This looks not realistic but helps to find a workflow.
    For rendering we have used the STORM-Point-Cloud and instances using geometry nodes.

    This looks amazing, thought I was watching a two minute papers video, also a question, is it possible for flip fluids to be simulated using gpu, like the document presented in two minute paper video?

      Not actually.
      We removed GPU Code in the past as the calculation could be better optimized for efficient CPUs. Maybe in the future we will be able to get back to GPU simulations.
      But - try out demo. You will find out how fast it works on CPU!
